Impostors: Professed Believers Under False Pretense, Part 1

There are many professed believers that live under false pretense. Their spiritual “dialect” and “diction” sounds so much like those in church but when you look closely, you see some serious flaws. Unbeknownst to a lot of people, Vision Church, represented by a homosexual leader, O.C. Allen that not only affirms the gay lifestyle but the entire spectrum of LGBT.

All over the United States, counterfeit churches with self produced documents and documents from questionable legitimate organization that once shunned the sin of homosexuality, is cropping up quickly. In NYS alone, there are over 350 gay affirming churches.

The Scriptures that come to mind is this….

Matthew 13:24-30 says….. “Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field; but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way. But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares also appeared. So the servants of the owner came and said to him, Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have tares? He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said to him, Do you want us then to go and gather them up? But he said, No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares and bind them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.”

The amazing thing about parables is the whenever someone asked Jesus to explain a parable, He readily shares the secret behind the use of nature to explain spiritual things.

Watch this….

Matthew 13:36-43 says…. “Then Jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house. And His disciples came to Him, saying, Explain to us the parable of the tares of the field. He answered and said to them: He who sows the good seed is the Son of Man. The field is the world, the good seeds are the sons of the kingdom, but the tares are the sons of the wicked one. The enemy who sowed them is the devil, the harvest is the end of the age, and the reapers are the angels. Therefore as the tares are gathered and burned in the fire, so it will be at the end of this age. The Son of Man will send out His angels, and they will gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and those who practice lawlessness, and will cast them into the furnace of fire. There will be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then the righteous will shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”

Just because Jesus sent the multitude away, it doesn’t necessarily mean that the multitude was prohibited from asking Jesus what this parable meant.

First, the location. Jesus said…The field is the world…” Some people make the mistake and think that the field is the church. It isn’t because Jesus said that The field is the world…”

As with anything that the Lord does, the false need a prototype. Truth is the prototype. The devil always opposes truth so he provides alternatives or counterfeits.

The purpose is to deceive others from accepting the truth. Since the Garden, this is satan’s weapon of choice. Question the truth. Jesus points this out in John 8:44 in speaking to the leadership.

“You are of your father the devil, and the desires of your father you want to do. He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie, he speaks from his own resources, for he is a liar and the father of it.”

For instance. Remember in the first chapter of Job when the sons of God appeared or presented themselves before the Lord, and then satan appears, and the Lord God asked satan a question? “Where have you been?”

What was satan’s response?

“Going to and fro….”

Then the Lord said, “Have you noticed my servant Job, one that fears God and shuns evil.”

satan answered, Does Job fear God for nothing? You have placed an hedge around him…”

His answer revealed that the devil was looking for a way around Job to destroy him. So the devil lied. Some say it wasn’t a lie. Well, when you do not give a direct answer to a direct question, but deflect and divert, it is an evasive answer. Because the Lord knows everything and the devil knows it, he still finds a way to lie about it.

Second, the tares come from the wicked one.”

In the world, there are many impostors churches, leaders, and people.

In the house of the righteous, evil should not be in the house, but in the world, evil is found all over the place. Side by side, evil tries to get close to the righteous for legitimate purposes.

The first thing about tares is that the seed is dark and the seed of the wheat is much lighter.

The second distinguishing feature of tares is that it is poisonous.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary offers this assessment of tares. Hold on to your hats.

“TARES: the bearded darnel, mentioned only in Matt 13: 25-30. It is the Lolium temulentum, a species of rye- grass, the seeds of which are a strong soporific poison. It bears the closest resemblance to wheat till the ear appears, and only then the difference is discovered. It grows plentifully in Syria and Palestine.”

Take note of the word, “soporific.” It means a drug that induces sleep or sleep inducing.”

Note that it “resembles wheat UNTIL the ear appears, and only then, the difference is discovered.”

When you have professed believers tell you that there is nothing wrong with “gay marriage,” at first, many considered it as misguided rhetoric. Then the Lord clued me in on James 4:4, 1 John 2:14-17, and 2 Corinthians 14-18. By accepting the poison as a result of the seed planted by the enemy, you are sleeping.

No wonder Paul occasionally said to “Wake up out of sleep and Christ shall give you light.”

Or, Paul said, “Those that sleep, sleep at night…”

When you are walking in darkness and not in the light, you are sleeping at night. The reason? The poisonous soporific.

Tares that induce sleep.

Sadly, in our own congregations are professed believers that are sympathetic to the sin that the Lord declared, an abomination.” Anytime you are adamantly sympathetic to a position that the Lord is against, and you refuse to see the Word of God and the truth about sin, you are hostile.

Look at what Paul said in Romans 8:7-8 from the Amplified Bible (AMP).

“Now the mind of the flesh [which is sense and reason without the Holy Spirit] is death [death that comprises all the miseries arising from sin, both here and hereafter]. But the mind of the [Holy] Spirit is life and [soul] peace [both now and forever].

[That is] because the mind of the flesh [with its carnal thoughts and purposes] is hostile to God, for it does not submit itself to Gods Law; indeed it cannot.

So then those who are living the life of the flesh [catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature] cannot please or satisfy God, or be acceptable to Him.”

Professed believers are hostile towards God because God calls their sin out and when they begin to defend an indefensible position, they are impostors. Many will say that this is a tough saying and where is the compassion? On the cross of Christ is His compassion. God demonstrated His love for man by sending His Son to die for the sins of man; condemning sin in His flesh.

At anytime, we can repent, be forgiven of sin, and walk in newness of life. Impostors is a strong word but until you willingly no longer defend the very thing that God is against, you remain an impostor. Impostors are governed by the flesh and they refuse to submit to the law of God. As the (AMP) says, they are catering to the appetites and impulses of their carnal nature.”

But a Genuine Believer caters to God and His Word. No matter how you feel about the matter of the sin of homosexuality, the Word rises above your feeling. The Word doesn’t even consider your feelings. The Word wants you to consider the Word. Never mind your feelings. God demands obedience to His Word.

That’s why when you talk about the issues of the day, if the Word of God is not final authority in your life, you are an impostor.

You can’t SAY that you are holy and practice unholiness or lawlessness. Many impostors that carry tares do so to poison the world and even genuine believers should they turn on the Lord and become sympathetic to the sin that God is against.

In John chapter four, Jesus was dealing with a wounded woman that was an impostor. When she talked about worship, she wasn’t serious. Jesus reminded her that the Father seeks those that worship in spirit and in truth.

An impostor is one that “makes deceitful pretenses, or the act of giving a false appearance. Hence, pretending.”

Jesus said that “By their fruits you shall know them.”

When the woman sins were exposed, she had no choice but to come clean about her life.

Sadly, some prophets of our day are impostors. They can’t call out the sins of others because of their own sins.

She had five husbands and the one that she was with was not her husband, yet, she talked about her worship of God which was under the guise of false pretense.

We have the same thing happening in our churches. Professed believers that worship God but is having immoral sex. Professed believers that worship God in the dance, praise and worship, musicians, preachers, but is committing adultery, fornication, watching porn, masturbating, are bisexual, and homosexual.

False pretense and impostors.

    1. This soporific aspect found in tares is intended to spread throughout the wheat to infect them. Those that “smoke” this stuff by inducing it through receiving false doctrine are already asleep. So, not only does tares grow among the wheat but tares defuses this toxic element to cause people to sleep, when they should be awake.

  1. Great post! Thank you for sharing truth. We need it, because doctrines of devils are being taught and hailed as truth. The word of God is absolute. It doesn’t change for our feelings. Thanks for keeping it that way.
