One of the best part of the job I had in the Navy was reading intelligence reports of potential activities from potential adversaries. These reports would give us the leg up on anyone that would attempt to make moves. We would have the upper hand in defending ourselves and ensure a decisive victory in our favor.
All across the world and in the United States, the enemy has had it’s way. The devil is taking things to another level and the church is so out to lunch that we wonder what is happening and why are we in the position that we are in today. The sad thing is that we’ve been reading the intel reports and yarning at them.
All the while the enemy built up their forces to ensure victory. Each setback is attributed to not using what we have. In order for forces to win any battle on the battlefield or battle space, they must train to win. The use of overwhelming superior force, constant training, good morals, and discipline, and unending vigilance is the only way to ensure victory.
There was a time that when a doctrine or something questionable would be preached that it would be struck down with fervent vehemence that you could feel the fear of God. Not today. Everyone is bringing a strange doctrine and no one is fighting it. We just wink at it. Worse yet, they insist on abusing Psalm 105:14-15. We get told, “Don’t you put your mouth on the man or woman of God, he or she is God’s anointed.”
There is no anointing that comes from God when the error of Scriptures is preached. God never protects error and the perpetrators of error, and He never protects the people that protect the perpetrator of preaching error. Every one of them is left out in the open in the killing field of the Lord.
Some of the churches and pastors no longer have this edge in refuting doctrine, and there is a reason.
Several months ago, I preached a message called “Compromise or Conviction.”
Compromise is usually borne out of fear.
Conviction is the courageous ability to stand your ground in the fear of the Lord in the face of the fear of men.
Such a conviction was found in Daniel, Hananiah, Mishael, and Azariah.
Fear is what the world would do in response to your stand in Christ. The atmosphere is filled with intimidation and fear, however, Paul told Timothy “Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life.”
When the world threatens you with lawsuits, violence, and protests, they want you to capitulate. After watching some leaders refusing to hold the line in sexual discipline, it’s because they’ve compromised in secret.
The things that are hidden in leaders is what fallen leaders fear the most. The discovery of porn and masturbation is the secret world of sexual fantasy that most men do but really don’t want to be revealed. Self gratification is perversion.
Their adulterous relationship is a beeline to the root cause of their sins.

“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life is not of the Father but is of the world, and the world passes away, and the lust thereof, but he that does the will of the Father abides forever.”
There are many preachers, pastors, and other ministers that claim to be apostles, prophets, and so forth that live hypocritical compromised lives. I know what it is to live like this until the Lord lovingly rescued me from the darkness. When you live in Secret Sexual Sins, it is very easy to determine the place of compromise. At first, masturbation was an innocent thing. Or so I thought. When it comes to compromise, all that matters is what you think.
You do not think that your relationship with the Lord is on a decline. When you do not call what you are doing a sin, it is very easy to sin.
Such is the thing with LGBT.
As long as homosexuality is not a sin but an orientation, it is very easy to engage in this sin, or any sin for that matter.
Such is the case with lying. If you do not think that lying is a wrong, you can lie all day long. As long as you do not think that sin is sin, you can sin all day long.
The Holy Spirit’s job is to convict the world of sin (see John 16:8-11). The word “convict” means to “convince or to bring to light.”
The Word of God and the presence of God on the Word is the primary way the Holy Spirit convicts. If people in and outside the church refuses to hear the Word of God, or are not convicted when the Word comes, then consequential judgment comes.
1 Corinthians 11:31 says….
“For if we would judge ourselves, we would not be judged.”
Listen to the Amplified Version of this verse.
“For if we searchingly examined ourselves [detecting our shortcomings and recognizing our own condition], we should not be judged and penalty decreed [by the divine judgment].”
Look at what the book of Hebrews 12:5 tells us….
“My son, do not despise the chastening of the Lord, nor be discouraged when you are rebuked by Him; for whom the Lord loves He chastens, and scourges every son whom He receives.”
In the Corinthian church, they would take communion unworthily or in the wrong manner. Judgment came in the house. Some would take communion and end up sick, or they would die because they didn’t discern or understood the purpose of communion. This judgment was the result.
So it is in the church. The Lord loves us so much that He brings these things to us to correct us so that we would not be judged with the world. However, very few will take heed and the obvious course of action is to bring judgment.
As I survey the land, you look at many of the churches today (AA African Americans) that advertise their meetings, and what do you see?
Empowerment. Purpose. Destiny. Empowerment. Financial Breakthrough. Money. Hip Hop R&B Praise and Worship and Dance.
Essentially, the world is comfortable with the church and pastors are responsible, and will be held accountable. So comfortable that we now have reality TV and other worldly entertainment operating in the church. The abomination is in the house of the Lord. These pastors got it so backwards that when you attempt to correct them, they are prepared to curse you and condemn you. When they do this, it is a clear indication that they are full of themselves. When you believe you are final authority, your train is about to reach the end of the line.
These, and other cliche`s have been used to pull people into places where the Lord is not. Then you look at Praise and Worship, and you see the line up. I’ve often wondered what would happen if someone advertised a line up of just “Special Guest Artist: Jesus Christ.”
I know what would happen. No one would show up.
Conviction will keep the loins in the den from feeding on you.
Compromise will ring the lion’s dinner bell.
Conviction of faith means that you will never cross God, but you will remain faithful to Him. Conviction means that you will endure temptation and not fall prey to the tempter. Conviction of faith means that you will fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life. Conviction of faith means that you love God more than you love sin.
When it comes to conviction, it means that you are fully convinced of the fear of God in your life.
Compromise means that you are quick to cross God and commit adultery. Adultery against God is worse than committing adultery against your wife. Compromise means that you are willing to look lustfully at another woman instead of keeping your eyes on God. Compromise means that the Word of God means nothing to you and the word of the world means more. Compromise means that your love for the sin you love is stronger than your love for God. Compromise means that you will listen to the songs of the world and listen to the songs of faith. Compromise means that you are determined to have it both ways when the Father is looking for faithfulness from you. Compromise means that you will cheat on God while acting like you are faithful.
