Hey. It’s OK To Watch Porn?

Mr. Dennis Prager made a statement about men watching porn.

He said “If pornography is a substitute for one’s wife, it’s awful. If it’s a substitute for adultery, it’s not awful.”

Well. Let’s first understand that Mr. Prager is a Jew.

Dennis Prager doesn’t believe in the Lord Jesus.

Remember.

The Lord Jesus came from heaven. When He was born of the Virgin Mary, Joseph was betrothed to Mary and Joseph is a son of David. The Lord came from the tribe of Judah. So, the Lord Jesus, the Son of God and the Son of Man, fully God, and fully Man (the last Adam – see 1 Corinthians 15:45-49) is a Jew (see Matthew 1:1-17 and John 1:10-14).

Having said this, let’s see what the Lord Jesus said.

Matthew 5:27-30 (NKJV)

“You have heard that it was said to those of old, You shall not commit adultery.’ But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.

If your right eye causes you to sin, pluck it out and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

And if your right hand causes you to sin, cut it off and cast it from you; for it is more profitable for you that one of your members perish, than for your whole body to be cast into hell.

The Lord once again, underscores the point by showing us that it’s about the heart in Matthew 15:18-19 (NKJV) “But those things which proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and they defile a man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies.”

The book of James further underscore the point about lust in the heart.

James 1:14-15 (NKJV)

“But each one is tempted when he is drawn away by his own desires and enticed. Then, when desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death.”

Pornography is graphic sexual immorality captured on video to fulfill the sexual fantasy in men and women. It’s the image of persons engaging in immoral sex. Since it’s an image that arouses the imagination, it’s plain idolatry (see 2 Kings 23:1-25).

In some cases, you might be watching the crime of rape, or even watching a kidnapped victim. A former porn star now born again believer in Christ, was told that men that watch porn, that the women loved it.

She corrected them and said that producers of porn have drugs and alcohol on set to calm the nerves of women before performing.

It’s idol worship at the altar of sexual immorality.

You’re pretending to have sex with that image and the stronghold is engraved in the mind. Even without the visual stimulation from watching on the iPhone, or TV, the mind is engraved and muscle memory to perform a sex act and to climax is the objective.

Dr. Struthers said that in the soul or mind of a man, the brain is “wired for sex” and porn “hijacks the brain.”

The lust in the heart of a man is what he is bound to.

Why can’t men and women break free?

The endocrine gland secretes dopamine into the blood stream after orgasm and dopamine is the reward drug. When legally having sex with your husband or wife, there’s never an issue because the Lord intended it to be.

Sex between one man and one woman in matrimony is Biblical.

But when you covet another man’s wife, or covet another wife’s husband, it’s a sin against the Lord. Your conscience bears witness that you’ve sinned against the Lord.

He’s a slave to his sin and he will do everything to satisfy the fulfillment of the flesh and mind.

The ritual is clear according to Dr. Carnes. The sexual addiction cycle begins with fantasy or thoughts, ritual (preparing), action, and finally, remorse.

Not everyone is addicted to sex, however, the cycle is the same, whether you’re addicted or not.

Ephesians 2:1-3 (NKJV) “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins, in which you once walked according to the course of this world,

according to the prince of the power of the air, the spirit who now works in the sons of disobedience,

among whom also we all once conducted ourselves in the lusts of our flesh, fulfilling the desires of the flesh and of the mind,

and were by nature children of wrath, just as the others.”

In John 8:34-36 (NKJV) “Jesus answered them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, whoever commits sin is a slave of sin. And a slave does not abide in the house forever, but a son abides forever. Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.”

As long as a man or woman could make an excuse to sexually sin, the man or woman is enslaved to that sin.

Since I was freed from porn in 2008, there were 298 million Internet porn sites just in the United States. Today, there’s well over 302 million Internet porn sites in the United States.

43% of pastors in the United States struggle with pornography.

You just don’t watch pornography and not release sexual tension either by masturbation, committing adultery, fornication, bisexuality, or zoophilia, or sodomy.

So to answer the question above, according to the Scriptures, it’s NO!!!!

You’re sinning against the Lord when you even look upon a woman to lust after her already in your heart (see Matthew 5:27-30).

Todd Friel hit the nail on the head by saying that it’s about the heart which you could see here.
