Mike Bickel & IHOPKC Sex Scandal UPDATE.

There appears to be an update from a 3rd party investigation.

But first. I’m guilty of rushing to judgment.

I’ve trashed my last blog on the subject and it’s a lesson learned.

Never rush to judgment.

At this point, I don’t expect anyone to come back to this site because of this gross negligence on my part. I’ve sinned in this regard and I will seek the Lord in repentance for this gross sin I’ve committed.

To Mike Bickle, I apologize for rushing to judgment and for causing more harm than good.

Mike isn’t out of the woods just yet. The investigation continues until there’s a full picture.

The NAR (New APOSTOLIC Reformation) is still a clear and present false establishment. Whenever you use the word “apostle,” it should sent alarm bells, but it doesn’t. Anyone associated with this, you need to run as fast as you can from these things. Just note the names associated and it should wake up anyone with sense.

On the other hand, we still have false doctrine to contend with. The teachings and associations with known heretics is still in question and that’s not a rush to judgment.

Integrity is critical in ministry. Reporting and ministry. There’s no excuse that ministers of the gospel are held to a higher standard. Ethics is an essential component in ministry in order for a pastor or minister to be trusted.

Now with false doctrine, it’s important for us to understand that millions of people follow the Charismatic Movement. I was once involved in such movements back in the 1980’s. Many of you will recall that it was purported that the Holy Spirit fell among believers and Catholics in the late 50’s and 60’s.

However, we need to understand that any movement of God always have people that come in and do things that’s extra Biblical. 1 Timothy 4:1 is clear that Paul said that “the Spirit speaks expressly that in the latter times some will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of demons, speaking lies in hypocrisy, having their conscience seared with a hot iron….”

Not everything comes from the Lord. Over the course of centuries, more false doctrine and movements have appeared and these things have deceived many.

Currently, there’s a war between the Cessationists and Charismatics. It’s been going on for centuries.

Does God move?

Absolutely.

Only when He wants to, and no one should be disappointed if the Lord chooses not to move.

My only suggestion is that if you claim to operate in the gifts of the Spirit, the hospitals, homeless shelters, jails, and other places is a good place to prove that the gifts of the Spirit are in operation.

If you claim that everyone should live in a mansion, have millions of dollars, and live way beyond the normal, go to the poor and teach them and then stay there until they live like you.

Finally, the prosperity or healing gospel isn’t a gospel at all. 1 Corinthians 15:3-4 is the true gospel of Jesus Christ. God heals and God does prosper His people but these things isn’t the gospel. These are things that the Lord does when He decides it’s what He wants done.

Healing and Prosperity is not the main issue of the Scriptures when it comes to salvation and the gospel. Saving a soul from hell and the wrath of God is the main issue of the Scriptures.
