Trey Pearson: Christian Music Artist – Practicing Homosexual

Another “artist” has come out of the closet.

Doing what most people do, hide their homosexuality behind a marriage with two kids.

More will follow him out of the closet because there are many people that claim to be a Christians that is hiding their sin. Waiting for the “right” moment to announce their vile sin.

And that’s what we have.

There are two kinds of people in the church said the late Leonard Ravenhill.

People that are dead in sin or dead to sin.

The people that are dead in trespasses and sins do not know the Lord but they borrow the label “Christian” to pretend that they know Jesus.

Matthew 7:21-23 answers that question.

Christians produce good fruit. John 15, Galatians 5:22, Luke 8:11-15.

Practitioners of sin produce bad fruit.

You can’t be in the light and walk in darkness. You can’t be born again and practice sin.

Either you know Him or you don’t.

Notice that it is only on good ground in the parable of the sower that produce real fruit with persecution and patience. The other three grounds do not produce any fruit and according to Jesus in John 15, any branch that does not produce will be cut off, bundled up, and burned.

We wish this on no one but the Vinedresser is very serious about maintaining His True Vine’s health. Dead branches are cut off so that the rest of the True Vine doesn’t get infected.

The answer to understanding his sin is very simple.

He refused to submit to God in order to resist the devil. He refused to control the lust in his heart. He was wearied of the constant temptation bombardment of the devil and he gave in to obey his flesh.

Most men that struggle with the lusts of the flesh will do everything else but fast and pray, seek godly council, and abstain from masturbation. Some try to marry a woman to chase away the “gay.”

But it’s a longing for intimacy with God in righteousness and true holiness, through prayer and fasting.

The enemy’s power is temptation, lies, half truths, and deception.

The defense is the secret place of the Most High, with the media distractions off, soaking in the presence of God with a heart prepared to obey God and His Word. To increase your love and devotion to God.

Your only proof of the love of God in your heart is unquestioned obedience to the Word of God.

It’s a moment by moment battle that is waged.

Paul said in Ephesians 4:27, “Neither give place to the devil.”

In 2 Corinthians 2:11 Paul said, “lest satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.”

When you read his story, you will see that a lot of his deception is for one reason.

To fulfill the “…lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.”

This is the one part that would not be discussed in the Washington Post.

The media celebrates this and chalk it up as a loss to Christianity.

Well, that is if Trey was a Christian to begin with.

True believers learn to honor and love God. Carnal believers are caught between loving God and loving their sin. In this case, two persons cannot sit upon the throne. Either God is completely Lord and Master, or you are as you are dominated by sin and satan.

It took me over 33 years to move out of carnality Christianity.

I pretended that I loved the Lord. I pretended that God was on the throne of my life. I pretended that He forgave me and washed me clean.

But I never laid aside the sin that so easily beset me. I never lay aside the filthiness and overflow of wickedness. I never receive with meekness the implanted Word that was able to save my soul. I never obeyed the Holy Spirit to escape the temptation or to count it all joy when I fell into temptation. I never truly loved the Lord in obedience to the Scriptures.

As quickly as I asked God to forgive me, was as quickly that I fell back into sin in my heart.

The very thing that Jesus died for I willingly continuously engaged.

Porn and masturbation had a stronghold in my life.

I tried to live with God and live with these sins. The warfare was intense. I didn’t care about my relationship with the Lord. I cared more about getting off. I deceived myself into thinking after each sin session that God would forgive me. This deception cost me and it might have cost me eternity with Jesus.

SO if you are reading this, and you are caught in the same world of sin, there is hope and deliverance. But you might not make it so long as you assume that you have time to give it up. Or perhaps, you think that you could have Christ and satan at the same time.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 1 John 1:8-10 answers that question.

Do not let deception rule your mind.

Break away with God’s grace. Get to the throne of grace. Find grace to help in the time of need.
