Since covering the porn scene among professed believers and coming across mind numbing statistics, we see that nothing’s changed in terms of believers decreasing their exposure to sex filled movies, shows, and skin exposure in church services.
Porn watchers are enslaved to the images and enslaved to sexually manipulate him or herself in masturbation to satisfy themselves.
Porn is only an accelerant. More on this later.
The ability to be immodest is continuing in church service. The deliberate lack of discerning certain shows that what we expose ourselves to, is rampant.
In other words, we dethrone God to enthrone sin.
First, to address the modesty issue.
Men and women are exposing themselves to wearing certain articles to attract the opposite or same sex.
We all know that it’s summer time out there but it doesn’t give anyone the authorization and blatant excuse to wear things that we know are sexually provocative.
If you have to pull up your blouse to cover your cleavage, you know that this is a red flag. If you have to pull down your high skirt, you know it’s a red flag.
When you have to wear a cover to cover up your legs in church, it’s a red flag.
Now, this is not wrong to cover up in and of itself. At least you recognize that too much flesh is showing. It should be a very loud indication to you that perhaps your dress is a little too short.
Modern dressing doesn’t allow to look “old fashioned.”
It’s not fashionable these days. But holiness is the requirement when entering and participating in the holy worship of our Holy God.
As I was going street preaching one day, I walked by a “Seventh Day Adventist” Church and observed these red flags. I’m not an Adventist, so scratch that thought. I was walking by that church.
They appeared to be attending “church” but looked like they were going clubbing for men. Legs and cleavage.
A few years ago, I was listening to an interview of a believer interviewing a former prostitute. She said that in a well known mega church in California, female prostitutes would enter the service and sit in close proximity of their “client” while the client was sitting next to his wife.
She also said that there was no fear of God in the house of worship because the preacher would never preach on holiness.
Let me say this, that even if a preacher were preaching on holiness, for some, it will not make a difference.
If a person is bent on sinning sexually, only their death would stop them, unless they catch themselves and repent.
In the book of Numbers we see a story of Zimri and Cosbi.
Zimri was a leader and brought a Gentile woman into the camp against the commandment of the Lord. He and she walked by the Lord, the tabernacle of meeting, Moses, Aaron, and Phinehas.
At that time, the plague was moving throughout the camp because of sexual sin with the Moabites. Phinehas picked up a javelin, went into the tent where Zimri and Cosbi were, and killed them with one thrust of the javelin.
It stopped the plague and Phinehas was blessed by the Lord because the zeal of God within him judged the sin.
This was the “example” that Paul mentioned in 1 Corinthians 10.
In many of our regular Christian services, woman are wearing less and less. They are pushing the boundaries and men that aren’t disciplined will look at them lustfully.
Now we know that it is one thing to come to church sexually provocactive but when a man has lust in his heart, he doesn’t care what a woman is wearing. So there is two sides to this thing.
It’s not always one sided.
Intentional sexual dressing for church service to immorally tempt a man is more than provocative. It crosses the line of modesty where men, who are struggling to maintain their consecration to God are doing everything in their power to ignore them.
Feminine power to sexually influence a man immorally is demonic. It is passive manipulation. On the other hand, lust filled men is demonic and it is active manipulation. The collision course of the two brings death in their lives.
Most men do not know how to “bounce” their eyes to avoid looking at deliberate sexual provocation inside the service or outside as they are walking the streets.
But the sexually disciplined man will find a way to completely ignore these immoral women.
Not every woman that comes to church is immoral or deliberately intend to entice a man. There is holy women that come to church for the right reason and there are men that come to church, walking in wholehearted consecration and dedication to God.
But let’s face it.
Sexually immoral women will do everything to attract the attention of a foolish man.
Proverbs 7 speaks a such a man that went looking for sexual sin. The married, spiritually speaking adulteress found him and coerced him into her house.
It’s the same in today’s world of church service.
More and more, we are seeing an abandonment of morals and men diving into their house to commit adultery, homosexuality, bisexuality, and fornication.
But the door into sexual immorality has always been that the sexually suggestive tv ads, movies, and shows that introduce porn. The internet always have teaser ads next to the articles that you are reading. Reading the internet news is no different. The sexually suggestive ads draws a man’s attention. Photo shopped pictures increase the attractions in making pictures appear larger than normal.
Provers 27:20 says that “Hell and destruction are never full. So the eyes of a man are never satisfied.”
The Lord said to me as He was instructing me….”No sense in looking at someone that you can’t have. If I can’t have her, there is no sense in lustfully looking at her.”
Makes sense to me.
The basics of temptation are recorded in James 1:14-15.
A man is enticed when he is drawn away with his own lust-filled desires.
In other words, the moment he desires illegal sex, the enemy sends the enticement.
The enticement is a direct suggestion (temptation) to pursue that which is not lawful.
Sin is conceived in the desire to fulfill an evil fantasy. Sin, when it is finished, brings forth death.
That’s why in the church service, you have to be very careful not to allow your eyes to “travel” from the presence of the Lord.
Which brings me to emphasize again that the purpose of porn is no different than an accelerant for fire. When evil passion is in the heart of a man, he will go to places to fulfill that evil passion. Acting out sexually in adultery, fornication, bisexuality, homosexuality, and masturbation, or all of the above.
So be careful about the movies that you expose yourself to.
Radical amputation is the ability to cut off the right hand and pluck out the right eye to avoid sexual sins. If you are not willing to do without movies, you run the risk of being so overwhelmed with lust that you deliberately fall into sin.
This article on “Game of Thrones” is powerful.

A few months ago, 400 names of pastors were revealed after someone hacked into the accounts of a porn website. So far, last year, one pastor committed suicide.
In this new hacking spree, over 200,000 accounts have been hacked into.
The security system on the internet is vulnerable. Even more so now and we haven’t closed the door on hackers sufficiently. When it comes to sin, however, there is no amount of security that can keep God out.
There is no question that pastors and professed believers are on this site.
It’s now a matter of who’s names come up in this new hacking of internet porn site accounts.
Anonymous, Accessible, Affordable.
The first word, “anonymous,” is part of Secret Sexual Sins.
No one wants anyone to know what a person is doing.
That’s why there’s Luke 12:2.
Even before Luke 12:2, the Lord knew you would watch pornography before the world began. Nothing escapes the eyes of the Lord in the present. And nothing escaped the eyes of the Lord before time began.
As I have said before, no one watches porn and not act out sexually in adultery, fornication, bisexuality, and masturbation.
The Lord told us to expose the activities of darkness (see Ephesians 5:8-11). That we are to do it ourselves before the Lord uses extraordinary means to get you to fall on your knees in repentance in embarrassment.
The Lord issued the warning to you in various ways.
The Lord tried to tell you Himself, but you refused. The Lord probably tried using a person close to you to talk to you. Or maybe the Lord spoke to you through a message by your pastor on sexual sins, but you refused to take heed.
Warning after warning came but you refused to take heed to cleanse your way.
These warning signs are like stop signs and red lights on a road.
When we ignore these signs, it’s a matter of time before we are caught by a police officer or state trooper. Worse, get hurt or killed in an avoidable traffic accident. And yes, others suffer for negligent moving violations too.
Such is the same with pornography.
Others suffer because of the sexual sins of others.
All of this is avoidable.
You are reading this and you are sitting there, wondering if the Lord would expose you.
Wonder no further.
If you are involved in any form of pornography to gratify yourself in masturbation, it’s just a matter of time before your exposure. It’s avoidable.
Porn and masturbation is avoidable.

November 2008 was the last time I watched porn and masturbated to porn. Being a hypocrite caught up to me as the Lord warned me on the last day to “Come Clean! Or Be Exposed!”
Psalm 90:8 says, “You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.”
2 Chronicles 16:9a says “The eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth…”
Hebrews 10:31 tells us “It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God.”
Of course this verse speaks about when the Lord issues vengeance but if you’re in the crosshairs of being judged by God, it ought to be just as fearful.
Q: What made you want to watch porn?
A: Around 1998, we had Directv installed. At this point I knew that the temptations were there but at that time, I purposed in my heart (deceiving myself) that I wouldn’t watch porn. PPV porn was already on cable but we never got cable. Instead, I opted for satellite.
When you are channel surfing, you will come across salacious titles.
On the 100 channels, PPV soft porn would be on these channels. And that’s where it started. But it really didn’t start there. The seeds for porn were deposited in my heart as a little kid. Underneath the seat of my father’s car would be a book on sexual positions. It was there that the seed was deposited. My next exposure would be the movie houses on 42nd Street in Manhattan during the 70’s, which were notorious for pornography in almost every movie house.
Before the main movie, they would show pornography. As a kid, we didn’t have money to go to the movies every week. At that time, I had only been to the movies as a kid no more than 2 times. My parents didn’t like for me to travel because growing up in NYC, it was very dangerous.
Then a few friends of mine would ask if I wanted to go to a friend’s house to see movies. I went and there was nothing but porn. Planted in my heart and mind would be pornography. Therefore, it was very easy to “cross the line” and order PPV porn.
Then when Directv came, it made it easier for me to access porn discretely, or so I thought.
For 10 years, I would watch porn.
Q: Were you ever caught when you watched porn?
A: During one night, as I was watching porn in the bedroom, it would be then that my wife knew that something was going on. She turned over and caught me and that’s when I realized that I had a problem. A caught in Secret Sexual Sin problem. We call sin “a problem” to minimize the fact that it is sin. But when it comes to being caught, the Lord caught you before time began. Sin had found me out a long time ago.
Few of us remember that to be caught by physical eyes is one thing, so we try to hide ourselves from being caught by other people, but God caught us before we were caught by other people.
There comes a point where a man doesn’t care about being caught. All he cares about is fulfilling his sexual needs. It wasn’t about anything else. There is only one goal to achieve. Fulfilling the lust of the flesh. The risks of being caught was part of the territory.
Q: What did you do after you were caught by your wife?
A: I did what most men do not do. I admitted it. When you are caught red handed, you can lie about it. You can defer it by raising another issue to distract your wife. Or you can come clean about it. We sat together. She prayed for me but I couldn’t walk away that easy from porn.
Q. What would you say was driving you to watch porn?
A: That’s an easy question to answer. Years later, after reading some material on sexual addiction and in particular, Dr. William Struthers’ book on “Wired For Intimacy,” it was discovered that the stronghold wasn’t the porn. It would be the combination of porn masturbation or solo sex that reinforced the stronghold of lust in my heart, mind, and body. After watching Dr. James Dobson interviewing Ted Bundy, the serial rapist/murderer Ted Bundy was asked a question.
“Was porn the cause behind the rapes?” Nonchalantly, Ted answered…..“Porn wasn’t the cause. Porn was the fuel.”
Pastor Roger Jamison, pastor of Sword of the Spirit Tabernacle in Brooklyn, NY, for a season, was my accountability partner (words can’t express the gratitude for this man of God) and he said to me that you do not need to watch porn because you have porn all in your head.
So porn wasn’t the cause, it was the fuel to the fire raging in my heart. When your flesh and mind crave to have sex, you can come up with a thousand images. However, when you want the full effect of the fantasy, a man or woman will go to porn. Another thing that Dr. Struthers said was that “porn hijacks the brain.”
In other words, you give yourself over to watching porn and give porn permission to access the chemicals in your body. I’ll get to more on that later but when a man watches porn, or even a woman, you are pretending to have sex with that image and you begin to touch yourself sexually. The lust or the desire to have illegally that person becomes strong. So strong that you are operating on the level of lust possession.
We must remember that demons are operating among humans all the time. While that person is on the TV screen, in the realm of the spirit there is interaction with demon power. You are literally giving yourself over to the spirit of lust. Demons seek expression through humans and the commission of sin is the way they manifest themselves.
Q: You mentioned that porn gives permission to access the chemicals in your body? Please explain?
A: Yes, your body has chemicals that must be accessed to enjoy the full effects of sex. In my studies on Healthy Sexuality and Sexual Addiction from Liberty University, by the way, these courses are not college courses for a degree, but they are nonetheless great material to understand what and why you do what you do. There are four chemicals in men that is excreted into the blood stream.
The first three chemicals produce the erection, energy, and excitement. Men are sight oriented. So when a beautiful woman shows up, the first three chemicals are accessed. The last chemical is dopamine commonly called the reward drug. After orgasm (point of no return), this drug is the pleasure drug.
So when it comes to masturbation, you are accessing these chemicals. It’s highly addictive. And that’s why when it comes to porn, porn is the fuel. Once you start to engage yourself sexually, it is very difficult to shut down. The mind and body gets very frustrated if orgasm isn’t achieved because the body is after the chemicals.
Q: You have given us so much information to glean from. So tell me. With all of these things operating in you, it seemed impossible for you to break free? How does a man break this?
A: Jesus said “With God, all things are possible.” There was a time where I consigned myself to never be free. In other words, hopelessness had set in. There was a series of lies running in my head. One of the things that the devil did was to ensure that I would never have the Word dwell in me richly in all wisdom. That’s Colossians 3:16.
Even though I was a professed believer, I wasn’t a delivered believer. For if I were truly a believer, and I thought I was, His Word would be kept in my heart. Hypocrisy is more about having a form of godliness that denies the power of God. So hopelessness set in. But thank God for a praying wife. Do not get me wrong. God’s power can deliver but it also takes a praying person. Whether it is your wife, mother, family, friends. God needs a vessel to pray for an answer to manifest. In fact, every answer from God is waiting for someone to pray for an answer.
Hopelessness is loneliness. The devil isolates you and keeps your mind from escaping into the Word of God. To break the power of porn and masturbation, you need someone that is willing to pray to God. If the price of freedom is to be paid, it is paid on our knees to God.
2 Corinthians 3:18 says, “Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty.”
In that apartment we were in, the presence of the Lord was there. You do not have to feel that He’s there to know that He’s there. No man can break the power of demons in porn and masturbation by himself. In fact, this is the top area of strongholds among humans. Sexual immorality is the Goliath of our times. So we need the power of the Holy Spirit.
In that story with David and Goliath, we must understand that David did not win that battle alone.
That story is not possible without God’s power. When it comes to sexual immorality, we see that David had issues too. He was able to slay the Goliath on the outside, but David couldn’t slay the Goliath in his heart, mind, and flesh. A man can have access to the wonderful presence of God but until the Spirit of God has everything about us, those Psalms written by David really doesn’t mean anything.
It’s a tough thing to say about David because all of us have intentions on serving God but we really serve God in Secret Places. It is there that our true nature and character is revealed before the Father. It is there that the Secret resources of our hearts are laid bare before God. In front of millions, we can look strong, but when we are by ourselves, are we the same?
God knew that David would fall but He was waiting on David to make a decision.
Decisions Determines Destiny. If David had decided to go to battle with the kings, Uriah would have been alive.
Our prayers in public are only as good as our prayers in secret.
With the help of God, the prayers of others, and a willing and obedient heart, any man or woman can break free. In fact, the prison door was opened when Jesus died on the cross. There’s only one decision left after the question is asked of you.
Do you want to be made free?
As if the Lord issued the warning. And then you read stuff like this.
A Facebook post made this story available to me.
This truly is upsetting.
To the family that first had to endure the adultery, we ask the Lord’s grace and mercy to abound abundantly in their time of tragedy. Now this family has to deal with his death by suicide, resulting possibly from this pastor experiencing emotional trauma, shame, remorse, and hopelessness.
And they are looking for answers.
These may not be answers but they offer a glimpse into what might have been going on.
Needful to say that this underscores the dangers of secrecy in a pastor’s life.
Preponderance indicates that porn and masturbation were probably an issue in his life.
I don’t know everything but the Lord does. I mention this because very few people understand the issues as the Lord does. In my own life, I’ve had enough episodes to give some information. Porn and masturbation may have contributed to his adultery. If porn and masturbation wasn’t an issue, then we all know that unbridled lust In the heart of any pastor is always at the root of all sexual immorality, private or public.
I could be wrong about it because, again, I do not know everything.
Only the Lord does.
Then, you might ask, “why bring it up?”
Because this is an ongoing situation that continues to plague the Body of Christ.
This is MOAB, the Mother Of All Battles. Sexual immorality is the Goliath of our times.
What we need to do is understand some things.
We will not come to any conclusions about the matter but there are some things that we can learn from this tragic event.
Secret Sexual Sins is a major problem for 43% of pastors in the United States.
Porn and masturbation is a major stronghold for many pastors and ministers.
Sexual integrity must be maintained in the life of all Christians.
We must guard our hearts behind the pulpits and in the pews.
The devil is unrelenting when it comes to sexual immorality. If we are not watchful, every moment of our lives, we will cross lines that we say we weren’t going to cross. Pastors must not become wanderers or pimp/predators and women must not become harlots in the house of the Lord.
Many of us concentrate so much on the pastor that we seldom mention his wife. No one but her and the many other wives of pastors truly understand the pain of betrayal, rejection, and adultery. The staff member that committed adultery with this pastor is in much turmoil as well.
One thing always lead to another. Perhaps this pastor had safeguards in place to protect him from crossing the line. Perhaps she did too. But one thing always leads to another.
Then why bring it up, you might ask?
Because it happens more often than what we are willing to admit.
In my last blog, “The Dangers Of Sex With A Pastor,” it once again, underscores the many things known and perhaps unknown to us that exist in the church.
In an interview, one former prostitute shared that the reason why these things is happening in the church is that holiness is not preached. I will add that holiness could be preached in the house of the Lord but if they are not living by holiness, it’s a form of godliness lacking God’s power. A preacher could preach about holiness till they are blue in the face. The same preacher will sin with his eyes after the sermon.
We do not know if this pastor preached or prayed for personal holiness in his life. The answer is an answer of preponderance. Probably not. But let’s say that he did preach holiness, would it have been enough for him to act on to keep himself pure before God?
Well, we won’t know the answer to this question.
But what about you pastor or female staff member?
Are you willing to go down this path and disrespect the house of the Lord?
How deep are you in sexual immorality?
Have you cried out to God for help?
Are you willing to expose yourself to get God’s power to save you from a preventable situation?
The hand of the Lord is there every moment to help you get free of porn and masturbation.
The hand of the Lord is there every moment to save you, young lady, from committing adultery with your pastor.
If you are in a situation where you are contemplating having sex with your pastor, reconsider quickly. That one moment of sin is a pandora’s box of eternal destruction. Nothing but destruction and death follows. Before you dishonor your body, fall on your knees and ask God to satisfy your longings, quench your lust, and give you eternal satisfaction like the woman meeting Jesus at Jacob’s well.
If you are a pastor and you are married, look well to your relationship, return to the wife of your youth and resolve your differences, if any. Deal with the lust in your flesh and mind.
On the blog are many sites that will steer you to find the help you need to establish sexual integrity and sobriety.
Committing adultery is the last thing that you need to do right now.
This pastor committed suicide. We don’t know why but it points towards deep remorse. Just like when Judas was emotionally overwhelmed with betraying the Lord, this pastor was overwhelmed because he betrayed his Lord, and his wife.
Too much for him to overcome, he was lied to by that devil that was instrumental in getting him to commit adultery. That devil over his life probably just told him that he was nothing. He would never minister again. He will be a byword. He probably told him that he might as well end it all. That devil probably told him that his wife no longer loved him and that God would never forgive him.
ALL LIES FROM THE FATHER OF LIES!!!!!
No matter how deep and dark our sins are, the Father forgives, cleanses, and restores.
Sexual sin will take you further that you want to go. Sexual sin will keep you longer than you want to stay. Sexual sin will cost you more than what you are willing to pay.
Sadly, the Reverend Seth Oiler will not be the last pastor to commit adultery. He will not be the last to feel the bitterness of remorse and hopelessness, and in a quest to seek relief, never seek God but seek death for relief.
Regrettably, more stories have already happened. This tragedy just made the papers. Others are lost in the news.
But if you are reading this and you feel hopeless, just fall to your knees and ask the Lord for help.
God is gracious and kind. He is holy and never tolerates sin, but when we come to Him in true repentance, He will give grace and mercy to you liberally.
Hebrews 4:14-16 says, “Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin. Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
The story of this tragedy could be read here.
Have you ever heard foot steps behind you and you needed to look behind you to see who is coming?
The footsteps of God we’re getting louder for me and I knew He was about to expose my Secret Sexual Sins.
Not too many men and women believe that the Lord would expose a person’s secrets.
The Scriptures is full of examples of the Lord exposing the secret hearts of men.
When Jesus was weary from His journey, He stopped by Jacob’s well. In John chapter 4, a woman of Samaria came with her water pot to get water and the rest was history. She had 5 husbands and the one that she was presently with was not her husband. She responded, “I perceive that you are a prophet.”
When David sinned by killing Uriah, his trusted military commander, to cover up David’s adultery with his wife, Bathsheba, Nathan the prophet came in and exposed the entire sin. God said through the prophet what you have done in secret, I will now judge you in the noon day sun. Psalm 51 is the adulterer’s psalm of deep repentance for sinning against God.
When a man committed incest in the Corinthian church, Paul committed his body to be destroyed by satan so that the spirit of that man would be saved. This sin of having his father’s wife was so egregious, that Paul said that the world don’t even do this. 2000 years later, the world is doing it.
The only way that people will listen is when God exposes these sins so that the fear of God would return to the people. When people are not afraid to sin against God, their hearts are ready to do evil.
A man sins against God, and then nothing happens. He feels embolden to commit that same sin again, and again.
Notice what Ecclesiastes 8:11 says.
“Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil.”
In other words, because they weren’t caught, they are embolden to commit more evil. Because the Lord didn’t judge them at that moment, they get real bold and sin again.
This gives us reason to believe that when a sentence isn’t executed speedily, it also gives us an indication that it is just a matter of time. It is inevitable. The eventuality of judgment is just a matter of time. Unless they repent.
There are many of us that believe that judgment happens to the other man that sinned. That judgment will never happen to me. But it is just a matter of time. Sooner or later, you will get caught and when you do, if God exposes it, it will not be pretty.
Psalm 139:11-12 says “If I say, “Surely the darkness shall fall on me,” even the night shall be light about me; Indeed, the darkness shall not hide from You, but the night shines as the day; the darkness and the light are both alike to You.”
You can run. You can hide. But God seen your steps before you were born. You were caught before you came out of the womb. God seen it before in eternity past. In eternity, God knew that you would be bold and brazen.
The night time is when the most sinful activity takes place.
Notice what Paul said in 1 Thessalonians 5:7.
“For those who sleep, sleep at night, and those who get drunk are drunk at night.”
Psalm 90:8 says “You have set our iniquities before You, our secret sins in the light of Your countenance.”
Depending on who the Lord is dealing with, sometimes exposure happens rapidly, and at other times, exposure takes place after years.
Notice what the Lord Jesus said in Luke 12:2.
“For there is nothing covered that will not be revealed, nor hidden that will not be known.”
Yet, sinful carnal Christians will not care. Neither will some of them take heed. They will pursue, in secret, their Secret Sexual Sins.
It shouldn’t take the threat of a prophet to awaken us to come clean or be exposed, but God is not after just humiliating you. He is after your heart to save you before your sins ensnares you in the eternal lake of fire (see Revelation 21:8).
If it takes humiliating you then so be it. God is after your heart. Our spirit man belongs to God and God does not want to lose you.
Many of you have heard of “progressive” thinkers.
The word “progressive” sounds powerfully intelligent.
Here’s what it means.
“(of a group, person, or idea) favoring or implementing social reform or new, liberal ideas:”
As you know, homosexuality is progressive thinking.
Let me ask you a question?
How could sin be progressive?
Is it positive progression?
It is always regression.
Jesus said in Matthew 7:13-14 “Enter by the narrow gate; for wide is the gate and broad is the way that leads to destruction, and there are many who go in by it. Because narrow is the gate and difficult is the way which leads to life, and there are few who find it.”
Even though in the United States, the LGBT community makes up 3 to 4% of the US population, 50% of Americans support the sin of homosexuality. If you do not agree with the sin of homosexuality, you are not progressive but regressive or becoming “less advanced.”
So according to this Scripture, since the crowd is driven by being “progressive,” they’re on the road to destruction.
Righteousness is difficult. But if you want to see Jesus as Savior and not Judge, you receive grace to obey the Word of God to repent (change your mind), and receive the provision of salvation by the grace through the redemption (purchasing back of men from sin) that is in Christ Jesus.
Proof of this progressive thinking is identified in the arguments from homosexuals that declare that anyone that is opposed to homosexuality is archaic or behind the times.
This, of course is a ploy to get you to see that your position is not modern but old. Case in point, the vice president Biden’s statement that protecting gay rights trumps cultural and social traditions. Well, we all know that this remark is a remake of a statement that says that social and cultural traditions is not progressive but regressive, or archaic.
The Bible in Daniel chapter 7, called the Lord God, “The Ancient of Days.”
Because His ways is from everlasting to everlasting.
What the devil is really trying to say through LGBT is that progressive is modern and that God and His ways is old, worn out, behind the times, and just plain out of touch with the progressives of man. So, if you believe that you are behind the times, you want to seem “hip!”
Well, you will never see God trying to be hip. Men need to catch up with God because man is behind the times, regressive, and will die.
Man is behind the times with God and His Word.
Malachi 3:6 says, “I am the Lord, I change not…”
Progressive means that you change to make progress. God doesn’t need to change to make progress.
Hebrews 13:8 says, “Jesus Christ, the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
Psalm 119:89 says, “Forever, O Lord, Your Word is settled in heaven.”
Hebrews 6 tells us that His oath is “immutable” or unchangeable.
So since God can’t change. Since Jesus is the same, and since His Word is settled in heaven……..
It’s funny how progressive people try to change God that said that He “change not.”
It’s funny how progressive people try to change Jesus that says, “the same yesterday, today, and forever.”
So we as believers agree with God, and Jesus. They do not change. Now we believers are to change because 2 Corinthians 3 tells us that we are changed into the same image from glory to glory as by the Spirit of God. Romans 8 tells us that we are to be conformed to His (Jesus) image.
Why do we need to change?
Because we do not have the full change yet. When we die and go to heaven in Christ, we will get the full change in our spirit and soul. When our bodies are resurrected from the dead, we get the full change of our bodies just like when Jesus was raised from the dead.
1 John 3:2-3 says, “Beloved, now we are children of God; and it has not yet been revealed what we shall be, but we know that when He is revealed, we shall be like Him, for we shall see Him as He is. And everyone who has this hope in Him purifies himself, just as He is pure.”
SO the very “progressive” that they are seeking is a perverted progression or really, in all actuality, homosexuality, and all sin, is true regression.
Is it any wonder that we see transgender people changing their gender? Body piercing. Tattoos. Cross dressing. All of these things is a revelation of an inner identity crisis that only a relationship with the Father, through His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ could solve. Dissatisfaction of the outer is a revelation of inner dissatisfaction.
The heart longs to be right, but man believes that he could progress in sin and the end is death. But the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Happiness inside can only be given when we surrender our way, our rules, and our sinful nature.
Just like what Jesus said in Matthew 7, many will be on the road to destruction, needlessly.
The world’s progression is headed towards destruction, but you can change your ways by surrendering your ways.
So if you want to continue in your perverted progression, just continue to ignore the call to repent.
If you want to truly progress, change your mind and ask God to forgive you.
One of the worst discoveries that a wife could make is her husband’s porn addiction. Perhaps, the worst is her husband’s infidelity.
A few years ago, according to 1600 attorney’s that practice divorce law in California, 50% of all divorce cases involved a husband’s porn addiction.
But here is something else that is just as disturbing.
A wife’s chat room addiction that leads to acting out sexually on a video camera or setting up a rendezvous for a romp in the sack.
In one case, a married woman began chatting with a married man. Turns out that he lived right down the street. I saw this on the OWN network, (Oprah Winfrey Network) and that’s because she was dissatisfied with her husband. She needed that extra boost of another man and she crossed the line.
What’s sad is that a husband’s porn addiction is viewed by some women as the lowest form of betrayal, and it is. There are other women that do not mind porn, and furthermore, they watch with their husbands or boyfriends they fornicate with.
In any case, when discovery is made…..what do you do?
The first thing that comes to mind is understanding your husband’s or wife’s secrecy.
Secret means “not known or seen or not meant to be known or seen by others.”
As long as it remains a secret, the activity continues. But what we are finding in some places is that when the secret is out, because of the love for sexual sins, some men and women will continue because they believe in their hearts that they cannot do without it.
For quite some time, you’ve noticed certain signs.
Spending unusual hours on the Internet, on the job, doing “overtime,” disappearing during unusual times of the day. Catching wandering eyes. Reading certain articles and magazines with sex themes. Viagra. Condoms. All of these and other things are indications that something is going on. Unusual calls on the house phone caller ID. Your husband’s inattention to you and your sex needs.
Such inattention is determined by what may have taken place in the home that caused him to disengage in the normal course of the relationship.
Sadly, pastors are notorious for paying attention to the needs of other women while ignoring the needs of his wife.
Ministry is a minefield for a pastor’s marriage.
Long periods of silence and loneliness may not mean much, but it’s an undeniable starting point. When your husband or spouse is constantly angry at you for no reason. When a wife lashes out in anger because she hasn’t had sex in days, weeks, or months.
As with porn observed by men or women, it is undeniably connected to some form of acting out sexually. Whether it be solo sex, commonly called masturbation, sex toys, prostitution, adultery, or fornication. For a woman, it’s about satisfying her connection needs which will involve her giving up her body to satisfy that need.
The adrenaline of pursuing an outside relationship adds to the excitement that was lacking in a marriage but it is dead wrong.
Exploring other “options” violates the Word of God.
Notice what Isaiah said in chapter 1 and verse 18
“Come now, and let us reason together,”
Says the Lord,
“Though your sins are like scarlet,
They shall be as white as snow;
Though they are red like crimson,
They shall be as wool.”
Even the Lord will reason with man. But look at what He said.
“Though YOUR sins…..”
In any relationship, there is error. However, there is also a way to resolve that error.
The love of God will always speak the truth. What we are not willing to do is admit that we are wrong. We circle the issue with issues that detract from the truth. So much so that resolution becomes something that seems unachievable.
How could we resolve a resolvable issue?
It is called the love of God.
Paul said in 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, from the New Living Translation…..
“Love is patient and kind. Love is not jealous or boastful or proud or rude. It does not demand its own way.
It is not irritable, and it keeps no record of being wronged.
It does not rejoice about injustice but rejoices whenever the truth wins out.
Love never gives up, never loses faith, is always hopeful, and endures through every circumstance.”
What leads to porn and chat rooms is lust in the heart of men and women.
Lust is the demand to have what is forbidden.
This demand comes straight out of the Garden of Eden. The devil preached another word and Eve believed it.
Eve had lust in her heart. She just needed an excuse to justify her pursuit of lust in her heart. This lust, if not arrested and killed, will deceive you to justify deliberate ignorance of the known Word of God, and defiance of her husband. After she had a conversation with the serpent, the devil in the serpent deceived her, but at anytime, she could have walked in the opposite direction and ignored what the devil said. But lust was in her heart and then she proceeded to act on that lust. When she saw that the tree was desirable, she took of the tree and ate.
She gave to Adam and Adam ate.
Then their eyes were opened.
The command that the Lord gave Adam, and Adam gave to Eve, required team work, vigilance, and courage in order for them to stay alive. They both failed to watch each other’s back and they ended up counting the days of life they had left. Lust is what drives the sin sick soul.
Discovery of porn or salacious chat room activity is a lust issue that requires the couple to diligently apply the Word of God in order for lust to be completely broken.
The breach in the marriage is always preceded by a breach in the relationship with the Lord.
What we are discovering, and it was evident in my own life, is that when you get to the point of loving your sin more than you love God, there is no sin too dark that you won’t do unless you return to the Lord. We have used psychological explanations, spiritual counseling explanations, and do not get me wrong. They are good as long as the Word is central. However, the Bible identifies the issue.
Acting on the lust in the heart.
So when you discover your husband’s porn issue or if the husband discovers his wife’s salacious chat room activity, just understand that lust is at the root of the sin. Do not act out in anger. To exasperate the issue, even when you believe you are justified may not be good. Use good judgment. If you feel you need to address the issue, you have every right to do so. A breach in the relationship occurred. At the same time, it may be wise to pray (there is no length of time to spend in prayer, use your judgment), read the Word of God, particularly the Psalms, and then address the issue.
Get wise counsel. To have a friend to discuss this with is good but you have to believe that your friend could be trusted. You can’t utter or release all that is in your mind when it comes to discovery of your spouse’s salacious activity. Years ago, there wasn’t that much information about porn and salacious chat room activities. Now, there’s a wealth of information that you could glean from to help you deal with the discovery.
You are not alone.
Millions of families have gone through discovery.
I must reemphasize that the sin is wrong and you should not put undue blame on yourself. It is best to take responsibility when it is determined that, without a doubt, there was some contribution. But even if there was some measure of contribution, the bottom line is that lust was already in his or her heart.
From there, it is how you deal with it that will determine the recovery or destruction of the family nucleus.
