Money & Preachers: A Potentially Lethal Combination

Money & Preachers: A Potentially Lethal Combination

When it comes to preachers and money, it is one of the most volatile subjects in the church in the United States. Looking at both sides of the argument. People sometimes want poor preachers and preachers want to live extravagant lives to avoid poverty or the appearance of poverty.

To this day, many people still believe that preachers ought not make a living off of the gospel.

If a preacher starves, lives homeless, and can’t provide for his or her family, it seems like a roar of approval is echoed without any tears of pity. It’s part of the ministry. It goes with the territory.

The more poor preachers, the better.

Then the opposite is rich preachers. Million dollar mansions. High end cars. Wives and women. You heard me right. There are preachers that have women on the side. Men preachers too, in homosexual relationships.

I believe that there should be balance. A preacher, if commanded by the Lord, is to live primarily off of the gospel of Jesus Christ, within the means of the legal definition of reasonable compensation,” then people ought not have a problem with it. But even if it were reasonable compensation, a small renegade bunch of folk will always have a problem with it.

What is the fuel for these things?

In the United States, there are many of God’s people and preachers that are walking around aimless.

What does it mean to be aimless?

Aimless means “without purpose or direction.”

When you watch preachers get involved in questionable endeavors, it begs one to ask the question. What is our purpose and direction?

The Head of the Called Out Ones gave us all the purpose and direction we need.

Matthew 28:18-20.

The Great Commission is the current “standing orders” given to His apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, and teachers, for the perfecting or maturation of the saints, for the work of the service or ministry, for the edifying or building up of the edifice of the Body of Christ.

This means that if we are not busy doing exactly what the Lord commissioned us to do, then we will do what the devil wants us to do. Be busy doing everything else instead of what the Lord Jesus told us to do.

Therefore, a purposeless agenda is an agenda that obviously is unauthorized by the Lord that has no eternal value.

However, there is also a purpose with intent with bits and pieces of the gospel. Given as elements of truth to obscure the real agenda of duping the gullible saints according to Proverbs 14:15. With smooth words, the unsuspecting are told of obtaining great riches as a result of “sowing” money or goods into the man or woman of God.

There are many preachers in the United States that have built vast “empires” and there are many preachers that quietly go about their business without notice.

Yet, as they go about the business of the Father without notice, you will note that they are doing the most damage to the kingdom of darkness. Under the nose of the enemy, they are witnessing and testifying of the Lord and His gospel. People are getting into the kingdom of God. In turn, they are reproducing Jesus without fanfare and broadway lights.

They are not distracted and they want to keep it that way.

There are many preachers that want the notoriety and to be a part of the parade of the stars. Yet, we see that when these things come, the expectation of their ministries and the person heading these ministries become the focal point of attention.

The Lord Jesus experienced “fame” when He came on the scene.

Matthew 4:24-25 says,

“Then His fame went throughout all Syria; and they brought to Him all sick people who were afflicted with various diseases and torments, and those who were demon- possessed, epileptics, and paralytics; and He healed them. Great multitudes followed Him — from Galilee, and from Decapolis, Jerusalem, Judea, and beyond the Jordan.”

The word “fame” means “heard.” In other words, the people heard about Jesus.

What we are seeing is a perverted form of fame. People are no longer attracted to the holiness or righteousness that must be evident in the lives of preachers.

People are attracted to the “bling” of preachers.

The late Dr. Oral Roberts, in his autobiography that I read, said that the Lord told him not chase after the “gold, the girls, or the glory.”

These days, you might as well add don’t touch “the gentlemen.”

Whether same sex or opposite sex.

In ministry, the glitter is litter.

In my previous blog, I shared about Kenneth Hagin’s book called “The Midas Touch.” It was a very prophetic book regarding the false teaching of the prosperity message.

Just in case you don’t understand what Midas means, it means a king of Phrygia, who, according to one story, was given by Dionysus the power of turning everything he touched into gold.”

It also means as a phrase….

the Midas touch [is] the ability to make money out of anything one undertakes.”

The same is happening among some preachers today where they believe that every thing that they touch must turn into gold. The push to be famous and rich in ministry is relentless.

Sadly, it seems like this is the only pursuit among some ministers today. This kind of perverted fame is evident in many sectors of the administration (see 1 Corinthians 12:5) of the Lord Jesus. We should not lose heart because there are a few that will not chase after uncertain riches or minister for filthy lucre or illicit gain.

In 2 Corinthians 4:1-2, Paul said “Therefore, since we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we do not lose heart. But we have renounced the hidden things of shame, not walking in craftiness nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man’s conscience in the sight of God.”

Listen to the heart of Paul that is virtually absent in some of today’s preachers from 1 Corinthians 9:11-18.

“Do I say these things as a mere man? Or does not the law say the same also? For it is written in the law of Moses, “You shall not muzzle an ox while it treads out the grain.” Is it oxen God is concerned about?

Or does He say it altogether for our sakes? For our sakes, no doubt, this is written, that he who plows should plow in hope, and he who threshes in hope should be partaker of his hope.

If we have sown spiritual things for you, is it a great thing if we reap your material things? If others are partakers of this right over you, are we not even more?

Nevertheless we have not used this right, but endure all things lest we hinder the gospel of Christ.

Do you not know that those who minister the holy things eat of the things of the temple, and those who serve at the altar partake of the offerings of the altar?

Even so the Lord has commanded that those who preach the gospel should live from the gospel.

But I have used none of these things, nor have I written these things that it should be done so to me; for it would be better for me to die than that anyone should make my boasting void.

For if I preach the gospel, I have nothing to boast of, for necessity is laid upon me; yes, woe is me if I do not preach the gospel!

For if I do this willingly, I have a reward; but if against my will, I have been entrusted with a stewardship.

What is my reward then? That when I preach the gospel, I may present the gospel of Christ without charge, that I may not abuse my authority in the gospel.”

It’s only in isolated places where you hear any preaching along these lines. Quite the opposite is preached because to preach anything else, it would not bring in the bacon.

If you are not making money or turning everything that you do into something that will produce money, then you are not considered successful.

Homes, cars, clothing, airplanes, large honorariums and book deals is a false measurement of success.

Big buildings, big honorariums, large groups of people to minister to.

But notice the distinguishing factor of the ministry of Jesus. The power of the Holy Spirit was upon the Lord Jesus to heal the sick, cast out devils, and heal other diseases.

In other words, Jesus had the goods. The proof of His ministry was evident.

There is indisputable evidence of the ministry of Jesus but is there the same or similar evidence in preachers today? The Lord gives us the measurement that tells us that either we have the power of God or we don’t.

Notice what Jesus said in Luke 12:48.

“But he who did not know, yet committed things deserving of stripes, shall be beaten with few. For everyone to whom much is given, from him much will be required; and to whom much has been committed, of him they will ask the more.”

You see, it’s about what you have and what you do not have as far as God’s power is concerned.

There is no sense going to a chicken place if the chicken isn’t good.

Yet, we go to places where the power of God is non existent and there is a reason.

First, there is no living out the Word of God. There may be preaching but there may not be any living of what is preached. The power of God never flows out because one says that there is power. The evidence is when the life of the person God use is holy on the level that the Word requires.

Secondly, the power of God is not left to us to turn on and off when we want. The Holy Spirit is the One that administers the power of God as He wills, not as we will.

Thirdly, all things done must point back to the Lord Jesus and the gospel that He commissioned us to preach. The release of the power of God serves as a witness to them to repent of their sins and believe on the Lord Jesus Christ to be saved.

We do not have to force the issue. We do not have to put ourselves out on a limb. We do not have to advertise. When the Holy Spirit sees fit that the Word is preached, that a person’s life lines up with the Word, and the people are prepared to receive, it’s all left up to the Holy Spirit, not us.

God will not be put on the spot. He is God. Not a genie.

So people end up in places where there is a chance that God’s power might show up. If you were to count on your hand how many times you’ve seen the Lord do something spectacular, you will shock yourself.

The gospel message is very simple, yet, we have made it into something to force God to do something to prove something. God is God. He sits on the throne. He does as He pleases. He honors faith in His Word. God doesn’t owe us anything. We owe Him all.

So when it comes to money and preachers, we need to ask ourselves a couple of questions.

How long will it be until we come to our senses and be what He wants us to be instead of trying to make God be something? And when will we cry out for balance?

Preachers of LA or Preachers of LAA – Lacking An Anointing

I did not watch the episode, but by way of a FB friend, I was able to catch a video of McClendon trying to spin his version of what took place. It is very upsetting for a man or woman of God to accept the world’s request to be a part of something that we know is ungodly.

What’s ungodly about this show?

Since the prosperity message infiltrated the Body of Christ, we have seen madness. The proliferating of God’s people is outrageous. While Kenneth Hagin and others brought about the prosperity message, Hagin did do one thing before he went home to be with The Lord on September 19, 2003.

He wrote the book “The Midas Touch” to correct the erroneous teachings of the prosperity message. Then through other sources (it may have happened and it may not have happened), before Hagin passed away, he called a meeting with Kenneth Copeland, Creflo Dollar, and Leroy Thompson (who didn’t attend) to correct them, and to warn them about the contents of the book.

I’ve read The Midas Touch and Hagin did correct some of the madness that is in the Body of Christ, especially among ministers gone amuck. However, as far as the other preachers that may have known about his book and its contents, it fell on deaf ears. I’ve also concluded that when you preach about it for years and then try to correct it, some will repent and others will ignore it because the money is just too good to ignore.

The book never really had a chance to hit others because the author left the scene just after it was released. Had Hagin had some time, perhaps it may have done a lot to alter the course of some preachers.

A few years before Hagin passed, he held Ministerial Integrity & Ethics Seminars for pastors and ministers. I’ve never attended one but after reading The Midas Touch and after other sex scandals that took place among ministers, it is clear that he was doing something about changing the current perilous course preachers today are on.

In this video, McClendon tried to explain about honorariums and entourages.

Folks, the Bible is clear that in the OT, people paid a “Diviner’s or Seer’s Fee.”

I know some of you all are saying… “What does a seer’s fee have to do with Preachers of Lacking An Anointing?”

When people are mesmerized with the eloquence and fail to see the lie, the money is easy to give to these false preachers. When sexual immorality is connected to their preaching, it is no different than the plains of MOAB where witchcraft is deeply connected to sexual immorality.

At least three of these preachers were known adulterers and we pray that they’ve repented and were washed by the blood of the Lamb. Now if you look at what Paul said, “My speech and my preaching were not with enticing words of men’s wisdom…” you can see clearly why women and men flock to these preachers.

Preachers will use their persona and charisma to “sell” themselves. We are not in the business of selling anything that was given to us freely of the Lord, but preachers will merchandise the anointing” so that they could gather a following after themselves.

Never get caught in the diction of preaching. Get caught up in the truth of the rightly divided Word.

Anything less than the truth, is of the devil.

Some of you will remember Balak paying Balaam a seer’s fee to curse Israel. When Elisha was approached by Namaan the Syrian commander to be healed, Namaan offered Elisha money and expensive clothing, however, Elisha refused them.

In the NT, The Lord told Paul that it is commanded by The Lord to pay preachers but Paul deliberately turned down the command so that the gospel would not maligned.

Paul even said that an elder that ministers the Word of God is worthy of double honor. Paul meant that as a suggestion, not a command, by the way. Over 20 years ago, preachers began telling the people that preachers shouldn’t have to live below standards. That they are worthy of extravagant living. Many preachers did have to live below standard and that’s unfortunate. However, when things are not right financially where a church can’t hold a pastor, a pastor must work a secular job until then.

There is nothing wrong with working when the people are unable to pay a pastor a full time salary.

Many pastors do this out of necessity because if they have a family, they must take care of his home first before they can take care of the church. Now, people are flocking to these places and pastors are living the life well beyond reason. Some of them will never look back because they struggled so much. To lose their perch means long hours away from home just to pay the bills. But you know what? There is honor in this.

That everything you got was earned the hard way instead of manipulating the Scriptures to coerce people into giving. No one will have much to say except the fact that you were able to get it done without misuse of the Scriptures.

Regarding entourages, Paul always had some kind of group with him but not to carry bags, wash his feet, set up lodging and stuff.

Paul called them “fellow laborers.”

However, today, we see all sorts of error.

Today, they are called “armorbearers.”

Very few understand that this is OT ONLY!!!!!

And that armorbearers are officers or in the modern day army or navy, orderlies, or flag lieutenants. Their sole responsibility is to dress the generals for battle, and serve as their personal bodyguard.

Then we have these pastors of today that have “servants” and make up so many spiritual cliches to make it seem like the armorbearer is the place to be close to a leader. We have convoluted what true ministry is about just to make ourselves look good and important.

All of what we are seeing in the United States is a lack of any real anointing from the presence of The Lord. There are many ministers across the globe that are ministering the gospel in harsh conditions. Imprisoned, harassed, persecuted, starving, and killed for the gospel.

Today, we see that these modern preachers go around the world and return like they have done something great.

But what is there to show for it?

On the other side of the fence, this Scripture comes to mind.

Proverbs 14:15 says,

“The simple (gullible) believes every word, but the prudent considers well his steps.”

Sadly, there are millions in the Body of Christ that believe that if you give, God will bless you.

Well, Ephesians 1:3 says, “…has blessed us with spiritual blessing in heavenly places in Christ Jesus.”

You can’t be blessed if you are already pronounced blessed.

You can’t get what you already have. Some will say, I haven’t received it yet, so I am not blessed.”

Thank God for the Bible.

James 4:2-3 says, “You do not have because you do not ask. You ask and do not receive, because you ask amiss (ask missing), that you may SPEND IT ON YOUR OWN PLEASURES.”

So on impulse, emotion, and no judgment, you put it in their hands and the preacher walks away with his or her needs met while you suffer.

Jesus told Paul that “It is more blessed to give than to receive.”

Why? Because of the law of reciprocity. God places things in our hands. This is how He works. Now if you do not have it in your hand, you are in a position to receive to give it. However, if you do not have it to give, you cannot give what you do not have.

This doesn’t make you any less blessed because regardless of your status, you are still blessed. What we have been seeing is a clear manipulation of Scripture. If all you are hearing is God is going to bless you and you never get blessed, then James 4:1-3 is the answer behind the reason why you are not blessed according to what the preacher is saying.

So the only concern is the status of these preachers while others are suffering. If you still believe what they are preaching, you keep on doing it. But if The Lord is telling you to stop and you disobey Him, you are the one that will suffer while they suffer not.

As this “SHOW” progresses, if you do not see the genuine power of God, then you are witnessing hirelings. If all you see is a lot of drama among preachers, then you are witnessing hirelings. If all you see is the hype and Jesus is not in this, then you are witnessing hirelings.

When you see the McClendon spin, notice these Scriptures as well.

Here’s the link to the “Show.”

Then these are some Scriptures to consider after viewing the video.

Galatians 6:3. “For if anyone thinks himself to be something, when he is nothing, he deceives himself.”

Proverbs 27:2 says “Let another man praise you, and not your own mouth.”

2 Corinthians 10:12 says, “For we dare not class ourselves or compare ourselves with those who commend themselves. But they, measuring themselves by themselves, and comparing themselves among themselves are not wise.”

Ministry is a privilege, we had nothing when He called us and we are still empty until He fill is. And when we expend what He filled is with, we are back on empty.

And you are watching Preachers of LA…………Lacking An Anointing.

AL Sharpton: Overt Sexual Sins. Should We Be Surprised?

I came across an article about Al Sharpton that gave a reason why he cannot speak into the moral issues that plague the African American community. Sexual immorality among preachers. While adultery among preachers is not news, yet, we see that the prevalence of this activity indicates that there is no fear of God before their eyes.

It is apparent that to silence the voices of Civil Rights, as far as morals is concerned, give a man of God a red hot woman or homosexual male, and some money, ruin his marriage, and his silence is sealed on abortion and LGBT issues.

This means that the continued decline of the African American male continues unabated.

To me, this is a no brainer tactic of the devil.

When you have a sinfully depraved woman in your bed, you are not going to think about the righteousness of God. What matters is that you answer the call of lusts of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life that is not of the Father, but is of the world.

The dopamine effect will blind any man from good judgment.

A verse out of the satanic bible is apparent.

“Do as thou wilt.”

Here is the link.

While president Clinton was mending from the Monica Lewinski scandal, Jessie Jackson was counseling the president. Either before or just shortly thereafter, Jessie Jackson had a love child.

Yes, adultery among high level leadership, both spiritual and political is part of the big picture as to why this nation is on a perilous course of the sin of homosexuality.

We must look at history and see a serious pattern of defiance of the living God and His Word. If there is no fear of God before the eyes of these men, certainly, there is no fear of God before the nation as a whole. The fear of God is not just about being afraid of the God of heaven and earth. It is the utter contempt and disrespect that we have for a loving God who hasn’t done anything to harm us.

Yet, we are prepared to walk away from the Lord and think nothing of the millions of people trapped in the sin of sexual immorality.

In a nut shell, we do not give two cents to the Word of God.

Yet, God still loves us.

The prophet Malachi sums up this generation of preachers.

Malachi 2:5-9 says,

“My covenant was with him, one of life and peace,
And I gave them to him that he might fear Me;
So he feared Me
And was reverent before My name.
The law of truth was in his mouth,
And injustice was not found on his lips.
He walked with Me in peace and equity,
And turned many away from iniquity.
“For the lips of a priest should keep knowledge,
And people should seek the law from his mouth;
For he is the messenger of the Lord of hosts.
But you have departed from the way;
You have caused many to stumble at the law.
You have corrupted the covenant of Levi,”
Says the Lord of hosts.
“Therefore I also have made you contemptible and base
Before all the people,
Because you have not kept My ways
But have shown partiality in the law.”

Peter said something by the Spirit of God that is worthy to note.

2 Peter 3:1-4 says,

“Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets, and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior,

knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”

This attitude is prevalent in half of the assemblies in America. “Where is the promise of His coming?”

Since the Lord isn’t coming, I believe I will live any kind of way. Since we are not going to see His coming in our life time, I might as well live the way I want to live. Such foolish thoughts. Whether you believe he is coming or not, you got one thing to worry about.

Your death!

Actually, two things.

Death and judgment (see Hebrews 9:27).

With this attitude, perverse thoughts are entertained. Preachers that once were holy before the Lord and the people have turned aside to vain things. The light they once walked in is dark. The people are walking with such depravity that the news of preachers living unholy lives is normalized and accepted.

Hence, the acceptance of the sin of homosexuality as a Civil Rights issue.

The further we go from God the closer to hell we get.

There is only one way to deal with this situation. Since they brought this out by sinning on this level, it is to be condemned. Reprehensibly condemned. If we fail to reveal our disgust and anger about preachers living in full plain sight or even in secret about their sexual sins, then we are complicit. We are culpable and we accept, without objection, the very sin that God is against.

This mindset is in every person that believes that the coming of the Lord is delayed. Believe what you want, but for those that willfully depart from the Lord will bust hell wide open. Sadly, people that do not know any better will tell you to leave them alone. Every man needs someone to love. You are foolish to even think that because of the righteous Word of God.

The Lord put restrictions in the Word of God about marriage so that whoredom would not plague the land. Yet, we see that to divorce and marry, divorce and marry again, or to separate, and have a sexually immoral dish on the side is acceptable.

Sin is never acceptable, for sin is defiance of God, and His Holy Word.

So when you see more of this mess plastered upon the Internet and news reels, just remember that the Lord is not pleased.

No one will escape the wrath of God that is to come if you deliberately step away from the Lord and His Word.

LGBT – PORNOGRAPHY: Warriors For Christ Bringing Truth – An Awesome BlogTalkRadio Broadcast

On 07/11/2013, I was a guest on Warriors For Christ Bringing Truth on BlogTalkRadio with Dwayne Atkinson, Tarrence Barlow, there was a third brother that was on, I believe it was Elder Jimmy Fredrick, Jr, but I could be wrong. If I am, I will correct this at a later time.

These brothers are legit and on fire for God. It was a privilege to be a part of this show and I hope that you can listen in. All across the country, we are seeing men take a stand against pornography and masturbation.

Since the first porn images were recorded shortly after silent films came on the scene, man has had an insatiable desire to watch and participate in making graphic sexual images. The Bible tells us in Jeremiah 17:9 “The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked; Who can know it?”

What I want to do in this blog is somewhat capture some of what was discussed, however, I highly encourage and urge you to listen to the broadcast. Here is the link….

I was asked to share about my book, Secret Sexual Sins. While this dark secret was a part of my life, I do not glory in it. However, my part is an on going problem in the Body of Christ.

There was an interesting statistic that Brother Dwayne put on my test about that show. 53% of pastors are involved in watching porn. According to an unknown statistic, there are over 300,000 churches in the United States. That means half of the country’s churches have pastors that deliberately and intentionally watch pornography.

It’s no wonder that the LGBT agenda really had no problem pushing into areas where there would be virtually no opposition.

The connections to porn and the LGBT community is also wickedly inseparable. When a man watches porn, in particular “threesomes,” it could involve two men and one woman, or one man and two women. Lesbianism and MSM in straight porn is nothing more than a mixture to desensitize a man watching porn to conclude and include that homosexuality is normal.

That’s why 50% of Americans have no problem with LGBT or same sex marriage and unions.

The number of people purchasing and watching porn has declined due to the economy, however, free porn as teasers is always available. The Internet is the place to view the majority of porn as opposed to pay per view and smut shops. Obviously tapes are a thing of the past, but DVD is still available. The magazine rack is still an attention grabber which, in my opinion, starts the ball rolling.

In actuality, there is little need to watch the magazine rack because the streets are full of women that deliberately dress provocatively. Blame has to be put on both sides because suspecting women know that they are being watched and men love to watch. It is part of the attraction process. However, when it is for perverted means, all it takes is one look. Sadly, another thing that is prevalent is “feminine power.” This is when a woman knows she is intentionally flaunting to attract male attention. This feminine power is a deliberate act to overpower a man just because she has a hatred for masculinity or male authority.

So, as an equalizer, she will pull out all the stops to attract weak willed males.

Hence, the church service is filled with women that look to exercise feminine power. The majority of this kind of activity is focused on male pastoral leadership. In most cases, feminine power minded women are intentionally on demonic assignment. They are intentionally instructed by sexual demons to go to a particular church to pull an anointed pastor down.

When 53% of pastors are deliberately watching porn, there is no question that the assignment will be easy.

In Jamal Bryant’s church, we see that although he had sexual immorality issues already brewing in him, it was easy for him to fall into sin. As I’ve said before. Any pastor that is involved with another woman will only have to look into his Secret Sexual Sins life of porn and masturbation as the root cause of most adulterous affairs. No one watches porn and doesn’t release sexual tension.

Some will say that Jamal Bryant’s news is old news. However, what isn’t old news until we hear that he has been delivered from this is porn and masturbation. Until a man puts this on the table and square this away, there is no doubt in my mind that he and other male pastors are involved in Secret Sexual Sins.

Well, just recently while watching his “show,” it appears that the “Empowerment Church” was in dress down mode. As he was speaking, the camera went to the audience. The place was packed with women. I know that there were men in there but I noticed what they were wearing.

Some of the women were in halter tops and other wear that would make a sanctified man walk away. However, when a divorced preacher is “available,” you will wear anything to get noticed.

Come on, and shout “amen,” because you women know you were exposed!

In a known church here in Brooklyn, a single male pastor opened a church and a lot of women showed up. This pastor decided to look outside the church to find a wife. As soon as he introduced his, then fiancé, the crowd of women left the church. You see, not all women come to church for the right reason.

Come on, and shout “amen,” because you women know you were exposed!

It is clear that when you look at LA Preachers, the show that is about these “dapper” men’d of GAWD, Deitrick Haddon and Clarence McClendon have had adulterous affairs, or at the very least, divorced one and married another for non fornication reasons. Again, old news but this is what is going on all across America with out and stoppage of the pace. This generation is a “no fear of God” generation.

Remember. Jesus said if a person marries another person other than for fornication, they commit adultery. No other reason for divorce is permitted by the Lord Jesus.

The rules of marriage is so strict that God intended man and woman to stay married for life and not pollute the land with adultery. So if a man marries a woman, and she commits adultery, the man is free to get a divorce and marry a virgin. He must find a woman that was never married to qualify. So this makes sense. The woman that committed adultery, according to OT law, is to be put to death along with the male she committed adultery with.

However, in the NT, Paul shared that “Now to the married I command, yet, not I but the Lord. A wife is not to depart from her husband. But even if she does depart. let her remain unmarried or be reconciled to her husband. And a husband is not to divorce his wife” (see 1 Corinthians 7:10-11).

This is so the land would not be polluted with adultery.

How soon we forget what Hebrews 13:4 said, “Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.”

There is a lot of people that polluted the land and totally disregard the teachings of Jesus along these lines and the church is polluted with people marrying other people that were divorced. In one instance, a church and home wrecker came and married two men from the same church. These men were practice because the goal was the pastor. This pastor had a known porn and masturbation problem. Coupled that with a difficult marriage. As soon as she divorced her second husband, she went after the pastor. She succeeded, but with great price.

There is no question in my mind that the devil sends these women on assignment just like pastors that work their manipulation are on assignment by the devil to destroy unsuspecting women.

The one thing that we have to do is understand that the Lord is gracious, slow to anger, and is merciful, however, when it comes to the very shepherds that He called to lead His sheep, such hypocrisy was never tolerated to begin with.

I said this to the Lord that if I go back into porn and masturbation, then I will quit the ministry. No hesitation. I will walk away. But I take it a step further. I want to please the Lord so much that entertaining the thought of porn and masturbation is grounds for leaving. When I mean entertain, I mean sit there and rio what Romans 13:14 says, “But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts.”

Pro…… As long as a man stay with his covenant with his eyes, not to lust after something that is forbidden, and the thoughts are guarded with keeping his mind stayed on Him (Isaiah 26:3), he is keeping himself and he is keeping watch over his soul.Take the time to go hear the episode. You will be blessed.

10 Deadly Sins Of Leaders Falling Into Secret Sexual Sins: Failure To Develop Spiritual, Mental, Emotional, and Physical Strength Resistance.

As time progress, leaders must be watchful in all things. When coming out of the snares of sexual sins, they must learn themselves in the natural. As long as we are alive on this planet, it is a smart thing to learn your sexual tendencies, habits, patterns, practices, rituals, and routines.

The smarter you become about how you are tempted, the better you are able to develop resistance against the next level of temptation. As you have engaged in sin, you have incorporated unhealthy sexuality. Now that you have come from the darkness into the light of Christ, you now have to incorporate healthy sexuality in terms of choices and decisions.

As The Preacher said, “To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven…a time to embrace and a time to refrain from embracing.”

The half brother of the Lord Jesus, James, tells us that we are to “Submit ourselves therefore to God, resist the devil and he will flee from you.”

Peter says, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, stedfast in the faith…”

As you put distance from the last time you’ve grieved the Lord, you should not waste time waiting to be tempted to get ready. As soon as the last sin is over, your mind and body is planning a comeback. When habits, patterns, and routines aren’t broken, then the mind plans another round of sin.

That’s where you will find that your repentance has sticking or staying power or you were just playing.

Repentance is always the starting point after sin, but very few make an aggressive plan to fight the next temptation. When your sin is still “fresh in you flesh,” these are the most difficult moments to make a stand. That’s why you have to identify “trigger mechanisms” that set things off in your mind and flesh to start you down the path of resuming business as usual.

If you are married, porn and masturbation went from recreation to “can’t live without it.”

So, lets start with breaking this sin first. You repent. You sensed that the Lord forgave you. You receive forgiveness and you feel like a new man. You promise not to sin that sin again.

Now what?

You now set yourself to keep that promise.

Psalm 119:9-11 says….

“How shall a young man cleanse his way? By taking heed according to Your Word. With my whole heart I have sought You; Oh, let me not wander from Your commandment. Your Word have I hidden in my heart, that I might not sin against You.”

How are you going to stop from breaking your promise to God?

The question is answered with a question.

“How shall a young man cleanse his way?”

The response is simple, yet, profound.

“By taking heed according to Your Word.

From the point of the promise to never sin that sin again, you have to cleanse your way.”

In Matthew 7, Jesus likens a person that hear His sayings and does them as a wise man that builds his house on a rock. As long as you hear the Word of God and then do the Word of God, the house you build is secure. Now mind you, the storms of life will come. Rain will descend, floods will come, and the winds will beat upon your house, BUT… will remain standing because the foundation is solid. You built your house on a rock.

Doing the Word after hearing the Word is the building of the house upon a rock.

James tells us to….“Be doers of the Word and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.”

Here is a key…Do the Word and not do porn and masturbation.

Paul said this in Romans chapter 6…..“And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”

Paul also said this in the 12th chapter of Romans…..”But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust.”

Instead of making provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust, make provision for the spirit to worship God in spirit and in truth.

We easily submit to the heated sexual moments that run rampant through our minds. When this occurs, this is the opportunity to remember the promise you made to God not to sin that sin again. This is the moment that the Holy Spirit will work with you in your weak moment to give you strength to overcome temptation. Sometimes you do not have to go places to be tempted. All you have to do is remember habits, rituals, cycles, practices.

I find that when I do remember these sinful habits, the Holy Spirit brings to my attention 1 Corinthians 10:13 and 2 Corinthians 10:4-5.

So I submit to God.

If you hesitate, that’s the ill fated moment the devil was waiting for.

During my time of subsequent relapses in mid 2012, it’s those moments that I let my guard down (not porn but masturbation).

When the situations of life come at you, you think about relief and feeling good, sex will do that according to Dr. Archibald Hart who wrote the book on The Sexual Man. When life comes at you and you are not vigilant, that’s when the flesh and mind wanders from the commandments of the Lord. When you are not practicing the presence of the Lord, your spirit man is weak.

Proverbs 24:10 says…..

“If you faint in the day of adversity your strength is small.”

So how do I build my strength up to withstand in the moment of temptation?

Prayer and obeying the Word. You must be ruthless on your flesh and mind (see 1 Corinthians 9:27 and Colossians 3:5).

If you practice His presence within you, you will “take up your cross and follow Him.” Living the crucified life requires the measure and level of Paul’s life. “I die daily.”

The urges and impulses that operate within you were put there by the Lord, but when Adam fell into sin, they became perverted. After being born again, the mind and flesh now has to commit to doing righteousness. Spirit, soul, and body must now work in unison with the Holy Spirit to obey the Word of God on a moment’s notice. The enemy will not waste time with you. Each moment counts. When you submit yourself without hesitation, that means you have put on the armor of light and you are ready to do battle.

Submission is where it all begins. Submission to God through His Word.

Afterwards, you must be vigilant. You have to watch your every thought. You have to watch where you put your hands at night. You have to do what is necessary to keep your promise not to grieve the Lord in sin. Then, you have to spend time strengthening your heart, mind, and flesh to withstand temptation.

This is accomplished by a variety of means. Very few will win the battle against temptation who constantly feeds on the world and starves themselves of the Word. The more Word you feed on, the more of the world gets starved out of you. Remember, your heart is like a field. Whatever seed is planted, that is what will manifest as a harvest.

Paul said this is Galatians 6……

“Do not be deceived, God is not mocked; for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap. For he who sows to his flesh will of the flesh reap corruption, but he who sows to the Spirit will of the Spirit reap everlasting life.”

That’s the difference between victory and defeat.

Whatever you feed on is the difference. How much time you spend in either will be the difference. As you feed on the world your spirit man grows weaker and will never be able to withstand in the evil day. As you feed on the Word, your spirit man grows stronger and will be able to withstand in the evil day.

Paul also speaks of renewing the mind and the spirit of our minds. If you preoccupy your mind with things of the flesh, your mind will resume habits, rituals, cycles, and practices. To break these things, you must renew the mind. Renovate the mind. Redo the mind with the Word of God.

You have to make a conscious decision to put into practice having the mind of Christ. As long as you do these things, you will master the mind and flesh, and victory, by the help of the Holy Spirit, is achievable.

LGBT: SCOTUS Prop 8 Vote. The Most Important Decision Of The 21 Century

I do not think that the Body of Christ is aware of the ramifications of this all important vote.

The Supreme Court Of The United States (SCOTUS) will be set to hear oral arguments on Proposition 9 and certain provisions in DOMA. I just read an article about what took place in Canada when a man passed out flyers that shared about the Bible being against the sin of homosexuality. Two homosexual men were offended and took him to court. The brother in the Lord lost the case and was fined.

You can read the link here….

A friend on FB posted this link and I believe that the Lord is warning the church in the United States of what is to come.

The Lord spoke to me about the election of 2012 that the election that took place paved the way for what is to come.

In the article above, I hope that you paid enough attention to note that should the Supreme Court strike Proposition 8 down as unconstitutional and strike down certain provisions of DOMA, the level of persecution of believers in Christ and pastors will exponentially rise to unprecedented levels in the US. In Canada, the courts have deemed preaching against the sin of homosexuality as hate speech.

This sets the precedence for persecution that would make the dark ages look like child’s play.

Free speech is about to be erased and we will be subjected to persecution. We must also understand that these are the last days. These are the days of Noah and Lot. We cannot be afraid of their faces. We must preach the truth regardless of the punitive damages the world imposes upon those who believe the Word of God.

It is interesting to note that oral arguments will begin one week before Passover.

The History Channel will show the miniseries called “The Bible” beginning 03/03/2013.

Oral arguments are set for March 26 and a decision by the SCOTUS should be reached by June 27.

Folks, this is no coincidence and the Lord was never caught off guard.

We must however, take note of the fact that since Canada is a dark place, the same darkness is making its way here in the United States.

As Jesus said, “The night comes when no man could work.”

Paul warned us in Romans 13:11-14.

“And do this, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep; for now our salvation is nearer than when we first believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand. Therefore let us cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armor of light. Let us walk properly, as in the day, not in revelry and drunkenness, not in lewdness and lust, not in strife and envy. But put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lust.”

And this is exactly what the church in the United States has done. We are sleeping and this is the price.

When 50% of pastors struggle with porn. When 70% or more of professed believers struggle with porn. When 93% of African Americans voted to re-elect Barack Obama as POTUS. When 3% of the US population that is LGBT has a bigger influence on the immorality course of this nation than the morality influence of the church, it is clear that we are in serious trouble.

The devil doesn’t mind if we sing praise to God while we engage in sexual immorality. The devil doesn’t mind if we preach watered down sermons that has no conviction of the Holy Spirit. The devil doesn’t mind if we preachers with dog collars and miters on are Emotional Manipulators, Intellectual Manipulators, and Revelatory Manipulators. The devil doesn’t mind you having a “praise break.”

In fact, right in the middle of your praise break the devil is holding your hands and dancing right along with you.

The devil doesn’t mind so long as we never start living the truth before we preach the truth. In the church, you have many people that are quick to live in sin, curse God, and then turn around and praise God with you. You have many people that is attached to corporate organizations that fund the LGBT agenda. In more ways than you can shake a stick, the products that we purchase will have some connections to the money trail that fund sexual immorality. Just like the purchase of porn is a Seamless Connection to alcohol, drugs, prostitution, strip clubs, human trafficking, child porn and molestation, the simple purchase of certain items funds the agenda of LGBT and abortion.

The taxes that we pay, if the Lord could show the deep connections to worldwide immorality, we would cringe. However, somewhere down the line, we may only have had a hand in someone’s involvement in the sins of the world if we participated in purchasing sin. The disconnection that saves us is the fact that we have no direct connection to their sins, unless we did purchase porn or other sinful things.

The believer’s vulnerability is self inflicted and the devil took full advantage.

I say again, that the Lord was never surprised. He wasn’t surprised with Samson, Saul, or David in their sins.

So He is not surprised with ours today.

After reading of the imminent possibility that the 31 states that placed in their state constitution an amendment protecting marriage between one man and one woman is in jeopardy, that everyone knew that there was something up the sleeves of LGBT. The Spirit of God always warn me that something is going on. The thing that I haven’t been able to get is what is that thing that is going on that I don’t know about yet.

When it is just too quiet it is an indication that something is about to happen.

Well, the Bible tells us “When there is peace and safety, then comes sudden destruction.”

It is not a coincidence that around Passover, we are seeing these issues come to head. And for the most part, it is getting to the point that we are so comfortable being tied to the posts with our eyes out like Samson is too comfortable. It is dark outside and getting darker. We are reaching the apex or culmination of the end of the ages. The only thing that the Lord told us to do is to be ready.

Jesus said, “And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in all the world as a witness to all the nations, and then the end will come.”

We do not know when the Lord will come, that is why we must stand and occupy until He comes. This is no time to pack our bags. This is the moment to stand in the face of opposition and speak the truth. We will not run. We will not hide. We will fight the good fight of faith and lay hold on eternal life. We will not buckle under the pressure of persecution. We will not look for the convenience and comfort, and safety of the inner sanctuary. What is to come must come and we must be prepared to stand for what is right.

Remember Revelation 21:8. Cowards have no place in the kingdom.

This is the valley of the shadow of death and we are to fear no evil, for He is with us.

Let’s stand and fight.

Prophet Carn – Undercover Prophetic Brother & Temple Prostitutes In The House Of God.

The casualty list is growing.

In the Navy Times, every now and then they publish the list of fired CO’s (Commanding Officers). After 25 to 30 years in the Navy, the pinnacle of most naval officers is to get a chance to command a multi-billion dollar war vessel. All of a sudden, because of “issues” they are relieved of command. You can’t trust someone that has the power to rain down destruction with a warship when they are compromised.

Unfortunately, it is not so in the ministry.

Prophet Carn is another casualty.

Just check out this blog and other related blogs to find out what happened.

In the ministry, sanctification means nothing. We are watching LGBT establish a serious stronghold in the church because the watchman on the wall is getting laid. The preacher of today and even in the past are falling and there seems to be no stopping of this progression into the pit of hell. There is two sides to this story.

While it is commendable that an apology be issued in passing an STD to a woman. What is this woman doing in bed with a young preacher to begin with?

This is a classic case of fornication.

Yeah. She made a big error in judgment in allowing herself to go to bed with a man of God. The Bible is clear about marriage.

Sadly, in the church, there are temple prostitutes that knowingly engage in sexual immorality as part of their “worship.”

This may not be the case with this young lady, however, in another incident last year, a married pastor with five children infected at least 4 women in his congregation with the HIV/AIDs virus. He was arrested but the damage was done. There is no question that the stigmatization of being a temple prostitute is the case.

Women, for the most part talk. And if they didn’t know what was going on in their church, it is a clear indication of one hand not knowing what the other hand was doing. But if they did know, and said nothing, then silence was permission. They acted negligently. As a result, they all paid a heavy price with their lives.

“Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled, but fornicators and adulterers God will judge.” Hebrews 13:4.

Please note in this verse that the writer is speaking of male and female fornicators and adulterers.

It is easy to get upset at the man of God but we need to get upset and the woman as well.

Two did a dance and tangoed.

She should have exposed this false prophet before getting into bed with him.

But she didn’t. She consented to his request for booty call and she ended up with an STD. She exposed him after she contracted the disease. A disease that could have been avoided. Ladies, if you are reading this, I cannot feel what you feel but I know that the Lord speaks to men and women. If we choose to ignore the warnings of the Holy Spirit, it is not to say that you deserved it. It is to say that I wish that you would pay more attention to the cunning craftiness of false preachers.

Snake oil salesmen have one thing in mind. How to take advantage of you.

Based on preponderance, it is possible that Carn may be watching porn and masturbating. Allegedly, he just took sexual addiction level one to the highest level in that category. From fantasy to reality. Porn and masturbation is pretend sex. You deceive yourself into thinking that you are having sex with that image. It is also called idolatry where you are sexually worshipping that person you are observing and you are worshipping you in acting out sexually. Be mindful that in porn, they will also have “threesomes,” which is a combination of straight and homosexuality sex.

By watching porn in any spectrum, you are agreeing with the full spectrum of sexual immorality, including LGBT.

Your participation endorses homosexuality. Engaging in sexual immorality is a clear connection to the agenda to plunge the United States into the dark dungeon of sexual immorality. The prison door is open and you can walk away forever when you truly repent of this sin.

Ladies, it is not worth it.

It is easy to blame the man.

Both need to be blamed.

Ladies, I know that it is difficult to withhold yourself because this man is smooth with his words, as most men are. You were smitten by his charms, good looks, and personality. Essential elements to have when you are a deceiver.

But you have to find a way to walk away.

The Holy Spirit will not lead you into temptation. The Holy Spirit will lead you from a smooth talking snake charmer. Phinehas was a smooth talker and perverted the tabernacle of Moses. It resulted in the removal of the Ark of the Covenant and sure defeat of the armies of Israel. And you wonder why the church in the United States is impotent. Pun not intended.

Ladies, you have to trust the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is right every time.

Paul said to “Flee fornication.”

To flee means to run in terror.

Like all of us, we know that when we are about to sin, the Holy Spirit will warn us with a strong impression and it is our job to heed the warning. It’s just like watching a man who does online chatting with a decoy. He arrives at the house where he thought he would have sex with a minor. He gets this funny impression that he should not do this. It’s not the Holy Spirit all the time. Our conscience speaks to us. The conscience is the voice of the human spirit. You do not have to be saved for your spirit man to speak. However, for a believer, the Holy Spirit talks loud and clear……DO NOT DO THIS!!!!

However, we are driving and we refuse to pay attention to the red light or the stop sign at the intersection. We do not slow down. We make a break for the light.

We do not slow down, we push it and then after it is done, it’s too late.

Just imagine. They wake up the next morning. Having suppressed the conviction, they act like nothing is going to happen. They act like married couples but something happens.

A pregnancy. Symptoms of a disease.

Among African Americans, 39% of males become new HIV/AIDS cases between the ages of 12 and 24. There is a more than greater risk of Black women acquiring HIV/AIDS. In some cases, they won’t know until later if the disease incubates. That puts their children at risk. Especially if they have multiple partners. With this young lady, we may not know if she had any other sexual partners. With Carn, we know he did because he transmitted the disease.

These guys would go to the location to meet up. Hotel, house. And here come the cops out of no where. All of a sudden, the cops bust him.

It’s the same with women that engage in having sex with a preacher that is single or married. Except you got busted with an STD.

It’s embarrassing but if sexual immorality is your game, these are the associated consequences.

God loves us and He will do everything in His power to protect us, but if we insist on violating Genesis 2:24, we only open ourselves up to vicious cycles of sexual immorality that only takes us deeper into the bondage of darkness.

Here is a very important development that you should read.

Covetousness; Greed Is Good?

by Fred C. Rochester

Covetousness; Greed Is Good? Copyright 2011. All Rights Reserved.

If you have many maxed out unsecured or secured credit cards, home equity loans, a mortgage on a house that is beyond your means to pay, car notes, personal loans, and other forms of debt, it is a clear indication that you are, or you were covetous.

In Luke 12, two brothers were fighting over their inheritance. The matter was brought before the Lord Jesus. The Lord Jesus told him, “Who made Me a judge or an arbitrator over you?” It seems to me that there was more to it than meets the eye.

First take note that the brother was standing in a crowd of people. He aired his sibling’s dirty laundry before the people. All in an effort to get the Lord Jesus to rule in his favor.

We do not know if his brother was present, but it appears that some people in the crowd knew these guys and word was to certainly get back. However, we see that it wasn’t for the Lord to rule because no one in the legal system made Him an arbitrator.

Then the Lord gets to the root of the issue.

“Take heed and beware of covetousness,” The Amplified Bible is quoted as saying,

“Guard yourselves and keep free from all covetousness (immoderate desire for wealth, the greedy longing to have more).

Immoderate is defined as “beyond reasonable limits.”

There is a powerful series called “Hoarding.” It talks about people’s compulsive desire to accumulate things. Rat packing is a serious issue because when you have the ability to buy an item and then store it, you are creating a mess that becomes extremely difficult to deal with.

The sad part is that they grow emotionally attached to the various items in the house and will become very combative. The reasons for this kind of behavior varies from person to person but there is a consistent pattern common to most people that hoard.

1. An serious emotional event occurred in their lives that compelled them to shut down common sense and normal reasoning.

2. Accumulation was permitted to reach a stage where undoing what was done became unbearable. Not just for the person that is hoarding but for the family members that attempt to correct years of compulsive accumulation.

3. Emotional detachment ( a complete clean up) would mean death to them. In other words, each item gave them a warped reason to coexist and if a separation took place, they would freak out.

While I am addressing a total different subject, you do not have to be a hoarder to be covetous. Hoarding is just an extreme case of covetousness associated with traumatic events that immobilizes a person. The majority of their accumulated items become their memento to happy times before a tragedy or emotional trauma. It becomes for them their security or comfort. It is an extreme compulsion that has the potential to eventually kill a person.

One such case took place a few years ago. The man had so much stuff inside the house that it concealed his death for quite sometime. It was only until the mailman couldn’t put any more mail in his box that they decided to call the authorities.

When they tried to enter the front door, they could not go any further. It wasn’t the smell of his corpse that repelled the authorities. It was the accumulation of stuff that prevented access to the body. There was so much stuff in the house, they had to take it out, piece by piece before they could remove his corpse.

The parable of the sower is a classic example of where the hearts of people are. The most common place where people abide is among thorns. The seed, which is the word of God, is thrown among thorns where the Word is being choked with “cares, riches, and pleasures of this life.”

This is the place of covetousness.

If God’s people want to stay free of covetousness, they must get to the place where the good ground is, where the seed will produce fruit. Those that are on good ground will always be content with what they have in life because of Psalm 23:1.

In Philippians 4:11-13, Paul gave us these powerful words.

“Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

Paul didn’t permit his need to drive him to do things that would violate his relationship with the Lord and God’s people. He had a common sense approach to life. He went to work.

In 1 Timothy 6:6-10, Paul tells us,

“Now godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and clothing, with these we shall be content. But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which some have strayed from the faith in their greediness, and pierced themselves through with many sorrows.”

When the love of money became the only pursuit in the life of a believer, there is only one result. You will stray from the faith in greediness. Once again, it is a depiction of a believer that is among thorns where the word is choked because of “cares, riches, and pleasures of this life.”

Hebrews 13:5 tells us, “Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you not forsake you.”

When everything runs out, the one thing that you will always count on is that God will never leave you nor forsake you. He will make a way so you won’t have to. It takes faith to trust God to get through in this life.

In none of these Scriptures do we see the Lord advocating that we do without, remain poor, or suffer lack. However, we do see that regardless of the conditions of our lives, we are to be content.

You will recall in 1 Kings 16, when Elijah walked up to Ahab and told him that there would be no rain for 3 and a half years (see James 5:17-18).

The Lord sent Elijah to Zarephath and commanded a widow woman to provide for Elijah.

When a nation refuses to repent of sin, dire conditions are released to nudge the leaders and the nation to the place of prayer to repent for the sins committed in the church and the nation.

If you carefully read the stories in the OT, you will see that the origin of these conditions began in Deuteronomy 28:1.

“Now it shall come to pass, if you diligently obey the voice of the LORD your God, to observe carefully all His commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all nations of the earth. And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God:”

The downside of conditions always have one conclusion.

Deuteronomy 28:15 says,

“But is shall come to pass, if you do not obey the voice of the Lord your God, to observe carefully all His commandments and His statutes which I command you today, that all these curses will come upon you and overtake you:”

While this Scripture appertains to the children of Israel based on the law, we must remember that the principle of obedience and righteousness to God is applied to every nation on the planet. While “Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law” (see Galatians 3:13),” it is not a blank check to “…continue in sin that grace may abound” (see Romans 6:1).

Jesus did not die for our sins so that we can continue to sin.

Proverbs 14:34 says,

“Righteousness exalts a nation. but sin is a reproach to any people.”

Please note that it didn’t say, “Righteousness exalts only the nation of Israel.” The New Living Translations says,

“Godliness exalts a nation, but sin is a disgrace to any people.”

It is interesting to note what 1 Peter 2:9-12 says,

“But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Beloved, I beg you as sojourners and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts which war against the soul, having your conduct honorable among the Gentiles, that when they speak against you as evildoers, they may, by your good works which they observe, glorify God in the day of visitation.”

Notice that Peter called the church, “a holy nation.”

So when the church is holy, it is a godly nation. God, therefore, exalts that holy nation, within a nation. The rest of Proverbs 14:34 is appropriate for the sinful nation, including the church. When we are in sin, we are a disgraceful nation. If exaltation uplifts a nation, disgrace is the downfall of a nation.

If you have noticed, the governor of Texas called for the State to enter into a time of prayer with fasting. He’s been getting heat but it seems to me that it will go forward regardless of the may lawsuits and fuss.

In Oklahoma, the governor is setting out time to pray for rain. Let me tell you. I think somebody is getting the message. But it’s not coming from our prominent pastors and leaders. It’s coming from the politicians. Do not get me wrong. If the pastors are influencing the politicians, telling them that they need to pray, then we do not need to know their names.

What we need to be more concerned about is getting each state to come back to God. Who cares about who did the influencing so long as we are found on our faces before God. But I also find that some parts of the church isn’t getting the message. We haven’t put two and two together.

Immorality is still the business of most pastoral leaders and congregants.

How do I know?

When you see a lot of people leave their churches because you preach against sin, same sex unions, adultery, fornication, pornography, masturbation, bisexuality, pederasty, and other sexual sins, it is clear that they want to send you a message that they intend not to give up sins of the flesh.

If they leave because a pastor is found to be in sin, sadly, that departures will happen. That’s because the people expect their spiritual leaders to be held to a higher standard and be held accountable. The wrong message to send is for the leader to salvage his ministry.

What he is really doing is salvaging his empire at the expense of the kingdom of God. The godly thing to do is surrender the ministry, salvage his relationship with God, his family, and then to the congregation.

When you see that the prominent preachers are still peddling the prosperity message and the gospel of inclusion, we haven’t gotten the message. When you see elements of the world’s brand of “gospel music”  in the church. When you see a rise in sexual immorality because of it, then you know the church is in trouble, let alone the world.

I mentioned the story about Elijah and the widow woman for a reason. The economic conditions in this nation is a direct result of covetousness, same sex unions, and abortion. These sins are evident in the church and in the world. We do not know how to be content with what we have and we desire more.

We desire intimacy with ourselves, same sex, and opposite sex, illicitly. When we conceived a child out of wedlock and then abort that child because we can’t afford the child or the conception was a mistake, these are gross sins that defile a nation.

With unemployment at 9.2 percent. With interest rates on credit cards and loans at an all time high. With a decreasing taking home paycheck. With the high cost of living to purchase the basic necessities; gas, light, phone, food, and clothing.

Repentance, confess our sins, forsake our sins, live righteously before God. Sanctify the Lord in our heart. Seek the Lord while He may be found. Call upon Him while He is near. Weep between the porch and the altar. Set a time for prayer and fasting, with weeping and mourning.

God will honor the pastor that falls on the sword. That’s right. Crucify himself. God will honor the church that seeks His face. God will turn churches around and then turn a nation around. We must be serious about killing covetousness, sexual immorality, and same sex unions in the church, first.

When we judge ourselves, we will not be judged. Hence, we won’t be condemned with the world. If you want to see an outpouring of the presence of God, all you have to do is bring to Him what He requires. A contrite and broken heart. A heart that is sorry about sinning against God. Then, and only then will our sacrifices be acceptable in His sight.
