In Toledo Ohio, two men, allegedly involved in sex trafficking were arrested by the FBI.
One of the men arrested happens to be the pastor of Abundant Life Ministries.
Should the allegation prove to be true, there is nothing “Abundant” in his ministry except sin.
For the young ladies trapped in their illicit web of ministerial deceit, they were probably relieved.
It’s one thing for the allegations to be shared by church members but when the authorities report the incident, depending upon how they will defend themselves in court, there is little chance of these allegations to go away.
Until then, as they say, “Innocent, until proven guilty in a court of law.”
Paul shared a word in Ephesians 5:3.
“But fornication and all uncleanness or covetousness, let it not even be named among you, as is fitting for saints;”
The word “named” also means “mentioned.”
Back in the day, the 70’s and 80’s, growing up as a new believer, certain local churches were “mentioned” as places of homosexual activity. In NYC, particularly Brooklyn NY, there would be several Baptist churches harboring practicing homosexuals as minister of music.
Or in other places, heterosexual activity with unmarried and married people in the local church would take place.
It’s one thing to mention true activity, but it is another thing to spread salacious accusations lacking evidence. The latter must be addressed so as not to slander the righteous. But when sin is mentioned in the house of what is to be a true worship of God, there must be a courageous act to deal swiftly with the activity.
Otherwise, it is not a house of worship of the Lord. It is a house of whoredom and homosexuality.
No different than a brothel.
In the OT, that’s what took place.
Many scholars try to write off the literal action of harlotry as just a spiritual description of the activities of the house of Israel. And to a degree this is true. But ask yourself a question.
What made idol worship so attractive to Israel?
What compelled them to leave the living God to serve dead gods?
Also, one of the gods that Israel would worship would be Molech.
It would be in the valley of Hinnom, which was located south west of Jerusalem, and would be used as the city’s incinerator, that children would be burned in the fire.
Where did the children come from?
As whoredom would be committed, the women would get pregnant from their promiscuity and they would sacrifice them at the altar of Molech. At the end of Solomon’s reign, Solomon would worship Molech. With 1000 women he had, is it no wonder? Solomon was a whoremonger and a murderer, with the women that he had in bed, they too would be whores and murderers.
This would be called out of womb abortion.
This area where child sacrifice would take place, would also be called the valley of Tophet. It would be there that they would beat the drums as they pass children through the fire to make the worship of this god tolerable. Drowning out the cries of the child in excruciating pain of the flames. Both Tophet and Hinnom would be types of Gehennah, descriptive of the realm of the unrighteous departed spirits.
Why the mention of these things? What’s the relevance?
Professed female believers today would commit sexual immorality with pastors and music ministers, and some of them, 49% of female believers would profess faith in Christ.
A true believer would never do these things but they do happen.
Today, believers are caught in the whirlwind of fornication and adultery that fuels abortion.
There is no question in my mind that some of those young girls that were trafficked by these temple pimps got pregnant and were forced to get an abortion and go back to work.
We know this is happening but we are unwilling to admit it, face it, and destroy it.
The sexual immorality that is plaguing the local church is still in full swing.
But this isn’t the real church.
The real church would never have a mention of fornication, uncleanness, or covetousness among them.
In many circles, deacons would commit adultery and never be disciplined, and thrown off the deacon board. The women in the church would never be chastised and disciplined. They would come to church as if no sin were committed.
There was no fear of God before their eyes. They wouldn’t be afraid to walk in the house of the Lord. For their protection, sometimes the Lord would remove His presence. Or His presence would be there in judgment as saint after saint, after taking communion, would get weak, sick, and or die before their time.
In most places, it may seem like the Lord is in the house with people operating in emotion out of their soul, but there would be no real repentance. No change of mind because a “sentence” wasn’t executed speedily (see Ecclesiastes 8:11-13).
When a person doesn’t get caught the first time, they erroneously calculate that the chances of them getting caught are slim, if they play the game right.
Sadly, folk do not believe that they were caught before they were born (see Psalm 90:8, 139:1-18). But many of them act like the Lord is blind and that He is not among us and can’t see what people are doing (see Ezekiel 8:12).
If the allegations prove to be true, God caught them before they were born. They were given space to repent and didn’t take the offer. Instead, the FBI caught them and now they face serious jail time. For the rest of their lives, if convicted in a court of law, they would have to register as sex offenders if they ever get out.
But worse, if they do not repent, they will experience their part with the transgressors.
Some of you reading this may have been given a final warning.
Take advantage. Because when the music stops, you do not want to be without a chair to sit in.
You’ve been warned.

Another “artist” has come out of the closet.
Doing what most people do, hide their homosexuality behind a marriage with two kids.
More will follow him out of the closet because there are many people that claim to be a Christians that is hiding their sin. Waiting for the “right” moment to announce their vile sin.
And that’s what we have.
There are two kinds of people in the church said the late Leonard Ravenhill.
People that are dead in sin or dead to sin.
The people that are dead in trespasses and sins do not know the Lord but they borrow the label “Christian” to pretend that they know Jesus.
Matthew 7:21-23 answers that question.
Christians produce good fruit. John 15, Galatians 5:22, Luke 8:11-15.
Practitioners of sin produce bad fruit.
You can’t be in the light and walk in darkness. You can’t be born again and practice sin.
Either you know Him or you don’t.
Notice that it is only on good ground in the parable of the sower that produce real fruit with persecution and patience. The other three grounds do not produce any fruit and according to Jesus in John 15, any branch that does not produce will be cut off, bundled up, and burned.
We wish this on no one but the Vinedresser is very serious about maintaining His True Vine’s health. Dead branches are cut off so that the rest of the True Vine doesn’t get infected.
The answer to understanding his sin is very simple.
He refused to submit to God in order to resist the devil. He refused to control the lust in his heart. He was wearied of the constant temptation bombardment of the devil and he gave in to obey his flesh.
Most men that struggle with the lusts of the flesh will do everything else but fast and pray, seek godly council, and abstain from masturbation. Some try to marry a woman to chase away the “gay.”
But it’s a longing for intimacy with God in righteousness and true holiness, through prayer and fasting.
The enemy’s power is temptation, lies, half truths, and deception.
The defense is the secret place of the Most High, with the media distractions off, soaking in the presence of God with a heart prepared to obey God and His Word. To increase your love and devotion to God.
Your only proof of the love of God in your heart is unquestioned obedience to the Word of God.
It’s a moment by moment battle that is waged.
Paul said in Ephesians 4:27, “Neither give place to the devil.”
In 2 Corinthians 2:11 Paul said, “lest satan should take advantage of us, for we are not ignorant of his devices.”
When you read his story, you will see that a lot of his deception is for one reason.
To fulfill the “…lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life.”
This is the one part that would not be discussed in the Washington Post.
The media celebrates this and chalk it up as a loss to Christianity.
Well, that is if Trey was a Christian to begin with.
True believers learn to honor and love God. Carnal believers are caught between loving God and loving their sin. In this case, two persons cannot sit upon the throne. Either God is completely Lord and Master, or you are as you are dominated by sin and satan.
It took me over 33 years to move out of carnality Christianity.
I pretended that I loved the Lord. I pretended that God was on the throne of my life. I pretended that He forgave me and washed me clean.
But I never laid aside the sin that so easily beset me. I never lay aside the filthiness and overflow of wickedness. I never receive with meekness the implanted Word that was able to save my soul. I never obeyed the Holy Spirit to escape the temptation or to count it all joy when I fell into temptation. I never truly loved the Lord in obedience to the Scriptures.
As quickly as I asked God to forgive me, was as quickly that I fell back into sin in my heart.
The very thing that Jesus died for I willingly continuously engaged.
Porn and masturbation had a stronghold in my life.
I tried to live with God and live with these sins. The warfare was intense. I didn’t care about my relationship with the Lord. I cared more about getting off. I deceived myself into thinking after each sin session that God would forgive me. This deception cost me and it might have cost me eternity with Jesus.
SO if you are reading this, and you are caught in the same world of sin, there is hope and deliverance. But you might not make it so long as you assume that you have time to give it up. Or perhaps, you think that you could have Christ and satan at the same time.
2 Corinthians 6:14-18, 1 John 1:8-10 answers that question.
Do not let deception rule your mind.
Break away with God’s grace. Get to the throne of grace. Find grace to help in the time of need.
The story about Trey Pearson could be read here.
In John chapter 5, the man at the pool of Bethesda was the only person healed by the Lord Jesus. Later on, the Lord said to him “Go, and sin no more lest a worst thing come upon you.”
The man that was healed was in his condition for 38 years. He couldn’t walk. For the Lord Jesus to tell him to “go and sin no more” is an indication or a blatant statement that sin opened the door for his inability to walk.
Before I continue, there are many books, statements, and comments that state that the Bible said nothing, PROHIBITING masturbation.
The Bible said nothing PERMITTING masturbating either.
You know that.
Sex was established by the Lord between one male and one female in matrimony. Genesis 2:21-25, Matthew 19:4-5, 1 Corinthians 6:15-18, 7:1-9, and Ephesians 5:31.
You will also note that no proponents of masturbation will quote any Scriptures to justify masturbation.
So any sex outside of these Scriptures is called “sexual immorality.”
In subsequent posts, I asked the question as to why we feel we have done wrong after masturbation.
The answer is simple.
The conscience witnessed to you that you have violated the Word of God. The passages of Scripture above, and others witnessed to you that you have violated the Word of God. The instinctive thing to do is to suppress this feeling with the deception of fulfilling a need.
There are other things that we use to excuse ourselves and suppress the truth. In any case, no matter what you use to suppress the truth, it is in an effort to continue in sin.
In the passage that Paul shared about sex in 1 Corinthians 7:1-9, notice that Paul shared about “self control.”
Which means that if you are not married, you must exercise self control. Meaning that you have to control your “urges and impulses.”
Romans 6:12-13 “Therefore do not let sin reign in your mortal body, that you should obey it in its lusts. And do not present your members as instruments of unrighteousness to sin, but present yourselves to God as being alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness to God.”
Romans 6:19 “I speak in human terms because of the weakness of your flesh. For just as you presented your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness, so now present your members as slaves of righteousness for holiness.”
When it comes to masturbation, there is no self control. It is lust being fulfilled. Masturbation is a sex act with one person.
You are manually stimulating yourself to ejaculate and to experience an orgasm by yourself. You are “presenting your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness.”
Notice the word “uncleanness.”
Matthew 12:43-45 “When an unclean spirit goes out of a man, he goes through dry places, seeking rest, and finds none. Then he says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came. ‘And when he comes, he finds it empty, swept, and put in order. Then he goes and takes with him seven other spirits more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there; and the last state of that man is worse than the first. So shall it also be with this wicked generation.”
You won’t believe me so let’s look at the actual Greek word of “unclean and uncleanness.”
Both from Strong’s Concordance.
“g0169. ἀκάθαρτος akathartos; from 1 (as a negative particle) and a presumed derivative of 2508 (meaning cleansed); impure (ceremonially, morally (lewd) or specially, (demonic)):— foul, unclean.
AV (30)- unclean 28, foul 2; not cleansed, unclean in a ceremonial sense: that which must be abstained from according to the levitical law in a moral sense: unclean in thought and life.”
Let’s look at the word “uncleanness” in Romans 6:19.
“g0167. ἀκαθαρσία akatharsia; from 169; impurity (the quality), physically or morally:— uncleanness. AV (10)- uncleanness 10; uncleanness physical in a moral sense: the impurity of lustful, luxurious, profligate living of impure motives.”
So it is clear that the same or similar word and definition is speaking volumes that unclean spirits drive uncleanness operating in the world.
Mark 1:23 “Now there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit. And he cried out, saying, “Let us alone! What have we to do with You, Jesus of Nazareth? Did You come to destroy us? I know who You are —the Holy One of God!” But Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!” And when the unclean spirit had convulsed him and cried out with a loud voice, he came out of him. hen they were all amazed, so that they questioned among themselves, saying, “What is this? What new doctrine is this? For with authority He commands even the unclean spirits, and they obey Him.” And immediately His fame spread throughout all the region around Galilee.”
What do unclean spirits do in people?
There is no question in my mind that this passages speaks of people doing unclean things. No question that unclean things has everything to do with sexual immorality.
Look no further than the criminal world with sexual predators on one level. On the other level there are those that do lewd acts at home, strip clubs, sex clubs, and other places where sexual immorality is happening.
Demons on every level are in operation, including masturbation.
Do you mean to tell me that I am “demon possessed” when I masturbate?
When you are dealing with sexual immorality, you are giving yourself over to the fulfilling of the flesh and body. Remember what Paul said.
“…presenting your members as slaves of uncleanness, and of lawlessness leading to more lawlessness.”
Lawlessness doesn’t come from the Lord. Lawlessness comes from the devil. You have to come out from under the power of God to come under the power of the devil.
Some of you may recall an incident I shared when I was waiting for the next train to Croton Harmon in New York, on the Hudson Line. I was at Tarrytown as the train entered the station and a Black man was on the overpass that leads from Tracks 2 & 4 to Tracks 1 & 3.
He was masturbating.
There was no question that he was possessed.
This is called “exhibitionism.” This is when a person is committing a lewd sexual act in public.
We all know that full possession takes place when you give yourself over to the full array and control of demon power. When it comes to temptation to sin, the temptation comes from the devil as a suggestion. According to James 1:14-15, you fulfill sin. On this level, it is NOT demon possession.
It is obedience to demon power to commit sin. Some will say that they do not understand the difference.
When it comes to committing sin, it all depends on how far you are willing to go. In any level, there is demon power in operation but we all know that there are certain levels that exhibit certain manifestations that clearly indicate demon power.
If you find yourself going deeper into sexual immorality. Another words, doing things that require more “submission,” there is no question that you are entertaining more suggestions to receive a euphoric aspect of sexual fulfillment or satisfaction.
Recently, (December 2015), I was watching the late David Wilkerson who pastored Times Square Church in NYC, minister along the lines of lust, pornography, and perversion.
Not once did he mention the word “masturbation.”
When you are dealing with the area of pornography, masturbation is a part of the process. I am not blaming pastor Wilkerson for not mentioning this aspect because I believe that at the time he shared what he shared, everyone assumed that masturbation was assumed to be a part of the message.
Even today, there are many preachers that only mention the filth of porn but few will mention the act that is always associated with porn. This is where men are true slaves to themselves in masturbation. They can’t free themselves from porn because they are enslaved to masturbation.
They can give up porn like I did, and remember the images so well that buying or viewing porn isn’t necessary. That’s what happened in 2008. I gave up porn but I had porn “in my head” as one pastor said to me.
It would be 2009 that I would give up masturbation for 3.5 years. Then relapse came into my life and that’s when the Lord said to me this year early 2015 that I have to put together everything that I have learned otherwise I am still a hypocrite.
I also had to put in my mind that I grieved and offended God. I also have to remember that at anytime, the Lord could require my soul. Where would it be if sin were in my life at the moment He calls for my soul?
Or if the rapture would take place (I know there may be different beliefs about the rapture so just bear with me please), would I catch the first flight or would I be left behind?
I was unwilling to take that chance and I’ve been fighting ever since to stay clean and pure in His sight. At all times. I had to give up the arguments and reasonings to selfishly justify masturbation. Such arguments, reasoning, and self justification will always lack Scriptural authority.
When I deal with this area of porn, I always state that no one watches porn and not act out sexually in masturbation, adultery, fornication, bisexuality, homosexuality, or bestiality.
It’s all a part of this world of sex outside of the Biblically established pattern of marriage between one man and one woman.
A lot of men and some women will state that regular sex is not enough.
That extra stimulation is needed to obtain satisfaction. But as I have stated before, it is outside the norms of marriage and connected to sexual immorality. That’s why your conscience is bothered because the God that dwells in us is offended.
You can go and sin no more.
This report was written around August of 2014.
There is no question that professed Christian men is watch pornography.
I used to be in that category.
According to Internet Filter Review, new numbers suggests that there is an exponential increase in those that watch porn, worldwide. It is up from 2.1 billion persons per day to 2.8 billion persons per day.
The United States is the top nation that produce porn sites on the Internet at over 89%.
Sadly, the article that made this report front Barna Group had racy pictures, which is another reason why men are trapped in porn. They write an article about how Christian and non Christian men are trapped in porn and around these articles, there’s nothing but explicit pictures that lure you away from the article.
And they wonder why men and women are trapped in porn.
So what I intend to do is copy and paste just the article as opposed to the link to the site and give credit to the site so that your eyes won’t “travel.”
After the article, we will clear up the discrepancies.
There are two kinds of Christians in America — those who watch porn and those who lie about it.
A new study by the Barna Group shows that 64 percent of Christian men and 15 percent of Christian women admitted to viewing pornography at least once a month, compared to 65 percent of men and 30 percent of women who identified as non-Christian and said they watched porn at the same rate.
Of the Christian men who did look at pornography, the majority did so several times per week.
Some psychologists and sociologists said it’s not surprising that men of any faith act out on basic human urges.
But Joel Hesch, president and founder of Prove Men Ministries, which commissioned the study, said the results point to a frightening pattern of addiction.
“It needs to be openly addressed in the church, a safe place within the church,” Mr. Hesch said. “[Pornography] is addicting. It is a problem not just affecting individuals, but families. The church needs to be the front-runner in this. Heaping guilt and shame on a person only leads them to escape into the things we’re trying to rescue them from.”
The survey was taken earlier this year, and the results were compiled from the responses of 1,000 U.S. adults. The margin of error was plus or minus 3.1 percentage points, at a 95 percent confidence level.
The survey did not break down Christian men who viewed pornography by their ages. But the poll did have age groupings for all male respondents, and 79 percent between the ages of 18 and 30 said they watch pornography at least monthly, while 29 percent of them said they view it daily.
The definition of pornography was left up to the respondents, Mr. Hesch said.
Jeremy Thomas, assistant professor of sociology at Idaho State University, said any survey involving sex is going to be limited in its data.
“It’s hard to get good information on sex, generally because people tend to be hesitant to respond,” he said. “One of the other things to realize is you could be getting a response bias. It could very well be religious and non-religious people view porn more or less [the same], but religious persons are a little more hesitant to say so.”
However, Christians might be more likely to self diagnose themselves as addicts. According to the survey, 15 percent of men who identified as Christian said they thought they might be addicted to porn, compared to 6 percent of non-Christian men who considered themselves addicted.
The trouble is that “pornography addiction” doesn’t exist in the professional mental health community, said Joshua Grubbs, who focuses on clinical psychology of religion and addictive behavior patterns at Case Western University.
“It’s not a diagnosis that’s recognized,” he said. “I know there are some people who believe it is a diagnosis, but it’s not recognized by the community at large.”
Though research is just beginning on why people might be anxious to admit their addiction, Mr. Grubbs said religion does play a big part of it.
“Religious people are more likely to say they feel addicted,” he said. “That seems to be stemming from religious people disapproving of pornography.”
The thinking, he continued, is “I’m religious. I think pornography is bad, but I’m a sexual person who thinks pornography is enjoyable. What would cause me to do something that is bad? Maybe I’m addicted.”
That doesn’t mean pornography can’t have a negative impact on someone’s life, said William Struthers, a psychology professor at Wheaton College.
“What happens is [pornography viewing] can become an addictive pattern if they’re not careful,” Mr. Struthers said. “You may find those individuals who are feeling low or down, now they can view pornography, they can sexually act out, and the high of the orgasm gives them that moment of ‘OK, that’s gone, everything’s better.’”
For Christians, faith can put them in a bind.
“Religion can serve to provide a richer understanding of sexuality. It can add spiritual and moral dimensions,” Mr. Struthers said. “The problem is this cuts the other way. You can have higher highs but lower lows when committing sexual transgressions.
“They can have a better understanding of sexuality, but that religion causes them to become much more compulsive in the ways in which they think about sexuality. That’s why I think they’ve gotten the message wrong,” he said. “The church’s message is ‘Sex is bad. Don’t do it until you’re married.’”
Some churches are having to re-brand their teaching on sexuality, whether by choice or because the culture is changing.
“Churches will lose this sexual red herring,” said Eric Anderson, a sociologist at the University of Winchester who focuses on masculinity and sexuality. “They lost on premarital sex, on masturbation, on gay sex, on anal sex among heterosexuals and they will lose this war against pornography.
“If you want evidence, all you have to do is look at the research, at what percent use pornography, and how young they start using it.”
Perhaps the way for everyone to win is to embrace both the human and spiritual urges of Christians, said Mr. Grubbs.
“That’s what we do, what humans do. If you feel bad about sex in general, it’s going to create problems for you elsewhere,” he said. “Let’s talk about what’s going on in your head, so we can avoid those problems elsewhere.”
CLEARING UP THE DISCREPANCIES
At the beginning of the article, they stated that there are “two kinds of Christians in America, those who watch porn and those who lie about it.”
Lesson number one, never believe the world because according to John 8:44, like their father, the devil, sinners are liars.
Real Christian men and women will never look at porn or masturbate.
A hypocritical carnal (flesh ruled) Christian will watch porn and masturbate, and lie about it.
Those are the two kinds of Christians.
Secondly, the statement about “Sex is bad. Don’t do it until you’re married” well, the Scriptures never said that “sex is bad.”
This statement is just another trick of the devil that he used on Eve.
satan said in Genesis 3:2 “Has God indeed said…” (my addition) …that sex is bad?
What many preachers correctly have done is declared that sexual immorality is wrong.
Why is sexual immorality wrong?
Because God declared what kind of sex is wrong, immoral, and is sin.
Whenever there is a question about what God said, just go back to what God said. Don’t sit there and assume that the Lord didn’t say anything. Don’t be so quick to rush to judgment when the righteous Judge declared what sexual sins are wrong. To say that preachers or churches said that sex is bad is a half truth.
Sex outside of what God ordained is wrong.
What did the Lord say in the Scriptures?
Let’s review the kind of sex that was declared wrong by the Lord.
Leviticus 18 is the moral laws on sexual immorality.
Verse 6 (NLT) says “You must never have sexual relations with a close relative, for I am the Lord.”
Sex with your mother……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your father……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your sister or brother, or half sister or brother……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your aunt……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with you uncle……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your step sister or brother……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your grandchildren……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your niece or nephew……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your daughter in law……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your son in law……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your sister in law……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your brother in law……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your cousins (close relative)……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Threesome sex with a woman and her daughter……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with your neighbor’s wife or husband……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Sex with a woman while she is having her period……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Homosexuality and zoophilia or bestiality……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
Passing kids through the fire to worship Molech (out of womb abortion)……..it’s a sin. It’s wrong.
This is what God said. So are we going to accept what the world said, or what the Lord God said?
Finally, porn is still a major problem in the house of worship. As I have said, no one does porn and not masturbate or act out sexually in fornication, adultery, homosexuality or bestiality.
In the article, it is true that the true leaders who have kept themselves from porn, and those that were delivered from porn and masturbation must lead and teach the people about the dangers of sexual addiction.
It is true that those that profess to know the Lord are holding back information about how often they watch porn and masturbate.
Now out of 1000 men that profess to know the Lord that do watch porn, 54% confessed to this sin.
I could be wrong but it is way more than that. It is true that men will not divulge this information because of the shame attached. It is much more that what we are willing to admit.
It is true that Christians label themselves as sex addicts. First the definition of addiction varies but it’s relatively the same.
It is the inability to manage, control, or stop a habit.
While manage and control gives the appearance that it’s all right to resume the habit so long as this habit doesn’t control you kind of flavor, I believe that the Scripture gives the power to stop any habit that is in violation of the Word of God.
Therefore, the Bible not only encourages us to stop, the Scriptures, once completely obeyed, gives the power to stop that habit and not be a slave to it when we give God what He demands. Unquestioned obedience.
If the pastors are involved in watching porn, then it is nearly impossible for us to trust that pastors would attack this area. However, I believe that pastors are emerging from the sin of porn and masturbation. I believe that there are pastors that have kept themselves from the sin of porn and masturbation that is leading the way out to being pure before God.
As this occurs, we must stay vigilant and sober, lest we fall into temptation ourselves.
The accessibility to porn is what makes porn attractive. Especially with “eye candy” commercials posted on almost every article on the Internet.
One thing quickly leads to another. Men and women get strung along into bondage.
What are we to do in light of this report?
Keep sounding the alarm and as the Holy Spirit leads, begin to address this issue before the people. Hopefully, someone will watch our example and take heed to keep themselves unspotted from the world.
Many things do go on in the mind of a perverted pastor, but everything has a beginning point. A perverted pastor didn’t arrive there overnight. Most of the time, he or she got there in small steps. Little by little, they push the envelope to see how much they could get away with something until correction or judgment falls.
Little by little, they become more brazen and daring.
Some of us remember that as little kids, we would do mischievous things. Some of us would do so in front of our parents to see how far we could go until they would put a stop to it. Many of the things that were done in front of our parents when we were or weren’t corrected, set the ground work for what we do today.
Years ago, I wasn’t paying attention to the things of the Lord. I assumed that after service, I could go back to business as usual. I thoroughly abused the entire first chapter of 1 John and John 2:1. Forget about Romans chapter 6 and 1 John chapter 3. I would be holy one moment (form of godliness), unholy the next (complete godlessness).
I would abstain from porn and masturbation just for service. But after service was over, it’s back to the sins of the flesh.
God would warn me in subtle ways but I would ignore Him and the warnings He sent. However, the warnings became more intense because as a child, I tried the patience of my Father. I knew that sooner or later, the Father would have had enough.
It was a matter of time.
You have to understand that in this life, we are all running out of time.
The Father has eternal patience that works in time to preserve us from judgment. Judgment falls when we ignore the warnings.
For instance, the Corinthians abused the Lord’s Supper. This service was for the commemoration of the Lord’s death until He comes. Yet, it was abused. The judgment of God fell on them and Paul had to warn them (see 1 Corinthians 11:27-32).
How were they judged?
Some became weak in their bodies. Some got sick in their bodies. Some even died.
If you’ve noticed why you are suffering sickness and disease or you are weak in your body, it could be possible that you are assuming that you could get away with watching porn and masturbating.
This is where taking communion can curse you.
Now just in case you deliberately refuse to take communion to avoid the penalty, it doesn’t mean that you are off the hook.
The purpose of commemorating the death of Jesus is to reflect on the fact that Jesus died as our Passover Lamb for our sins. Symbolically eating His flesh and drinking His blood is recognizing and honoring the Lord. This high price was paid to free us from sin.
This is the whole purpose of the New Covenant in His blood.
That we are free from sin.
If you do not believe that sin brings forth death through sickness and disease, keep going.
According to this Scripture, it will eventually catch up to you.
In another incident, the lame man at the pool of Bethesda in John chapter 5, after Jesus healed him, Jesus told him to “Go and sin no more, lest a worse thing come upon you.”
This is a clear indication that sin opened up the door for the lame man to get sick in the first place. If after being healed he persist and insist on committing sin, Jesus said, a worse thing will come upon him. The first time the lame man sinned, he had no fear of God before his eyes.
Now if nothing has happened to you and you have a sense of invincibility, look at Ecclesiastes 8:11-13.
The Preacher says “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.”
As long as we do not get corrected, the mind deceptively assumes that it’s permission to continue.
The sons of Eli, Hopni and Phinehas were perverted priests that took advantage of their “professional” position.
They sought to take advantage of women at every chance.
1 Samuel 2:12 “Now the sons of Eli were corrupt; they did not know the Lord.”
1 Samuel 2:22 “Now Eli was very old; and he heard everything his sons did to all Israel, and how they lay with the women who assembled at the door of the tabernacle of meeting.”
Eventually, it caught up with them.
The sons of Eli died on the battlefield against the Philistines. The ark they were carrying was taken from them. Eli, their father heard what happened and God killed him by using his weight, for he was a heavy set, portly man. The food that he ate came from his sons. As long as dad was fed, it didn’t matter what his sons did.
Eli honored his sons above honoring God (see 1 Samuel 2:29).
The ark was captured and Israel suffered as 34,000 were dead.
Phinehas’ wife gave birth and before she died during labor, she named her son Ichabod. For the glory departed.
When it comes to ministry in the NT, and even today as we are under the dispensation of grace, we really do not know what is in the heart of a minister until we watch them for a good while. It is over time that you begin to see certain traits that you will trust or distrust.
Even over time, you cannot take your eyes off of the man or woman of God because things could change over time for the better or the worse. Sadly, some ministers are supposed to get tighter in their relationship with the Lord, but because the Lord tarries, they make a move towards unholiness.
I’ve noticed that when there is a lull in the “ebb and flow” of ministry, it is very easy to drop your guard, become complacent or lackadaisical in the heart and mind. At times, when the presence of the Lord is high, we are more aware of His presence. When His presence is not as high, it is a time that we need to be more cautious and search for the Lord, and not things of the flesh.
Just because there isn’t much movement of God going on, it doesn’t mean that the Lord is not moving. Neither is it a time that we are to relax. It is at these moments that we are to be more vigilant because our adversary, like a roaring lion, seeks who he may devour (see 1 Peter 5:8-9).
As Song of Solomon 2:15 says, “Catch us the foxes, the little foxes that spoil the vines, for our vines have tender grapes.”
It is usually in very small, subtle changes that a man or woman progress away from the ways of the Lord.
If you do not catch the small changes, it’s just a matter of time before the foxes eat all the tender grapes. Small things will become too big to handle. Do not get me wrong. It doesn’t matter to what size the situation gets to. The power of God can still rescue anyone no matter where they are on this side of life. However, grace does come to an end at the end of life. Grace is useless in the grave. Hope is abandoned in hell.
There are four things that comes to mind when a minister strays from the Lord.
It is very easy to turn on ministry. Ministry is muscle memory. However, we can never fool God in relationship.
When you put ministry before relationship, your ministry will fail. Why? Because your relationship with God failed.
I like what one great man of God said and I will paraphrase it.
The well that springs up into everlasting life according to John 4:13-14 is your personal relationship with God. The rivers of living water that flows out of your belly, according to John 7:37-39, is your ministry to others by the Holy Spirit.
When you are not living out of your well, neither can the rivers of living water flow out of your ministry to help others.
A person could minister and seem anointed but in the life of a perverted pastor, he is all dried up. There is no water for him or herself.
Like demon spirits, they are walking in dry places.
Here are the four things.
Elitism– the attitude or behavior of a person or group who regard themselves as belonging to an elite:
Sometimes you do not know what people believe unless you ask them.
We all know that sexual immorality is operating as a pandemic in the Body of Christ.
The Public Discourse gave a very interesting snapshot of people who profess to know Jesus, yet, they state that they are for the very things that God is against. As I read the report, it is very disturbing to see that people still will be driven by their flesh and minds instead of be led by the Spirit in obedience to the Word of God to abstain from sexual immorality.
Again, we also see that there’s professed believers that is sympathetic to people involved in the sin of homosexuality. Whether they know the Word of God or not, the heart is suppressed enough to agree with “shacking up” and “abortion.”
These stats gives us more insight into how the end times will play itself out.
Peter said these words.
“knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
Scoffers are mockers.
How do you know that you are a mocker?
When you look over your shoulder and deliberately look to see if you could sin and get away with it.
Paul said “Be not deceived. God is not mocked. Whatever a man sows, that shall he also reap. If any man sows to the flesh, he shall of the flesh reap corruption. If he sows to the Spirit, he shall, of the Spirit reap life everlasting.”
The coming of the Lord tarries so I might as well enjoy myself. Right?
Well, I got some news for you.
Matthew 24:36-44 “But of that day and hour no one knows, not even the angels of heaven, but My Father only. But as the days of Noah were, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
For as in the days before the flood, they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and did not know until the flood came and took them all away, so also will the coming of the Son of Man be.
Then two men will be in the field: one will be taken and the other left. Two women will be grinding at the mill: one will be taken and the other left. Watch therefore, for you do not know what hour your Lord is coming.
But know this, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief would come, he would have watched and not allowed his house to be broken into. Therefore you also be ready, for the Son of Man is coming at an hour you do not expect.”
Because the Lord tarries, you are counting on this fact to do what you want, and wrongly assume that you could get away with it.
You see, there are two last days.
The last day of the world, and your death, should you die before the last day of the world.
Hebrews 9:27-28 says, “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment, so Christ was offered once to bear the sins of many. To those who eagerly wait for Him He will appear a second time, apart from sin, for salvation.”
When you eagerly await for Him for salvation, you have learned to keep yourself pure, righteous, and holy with the help of the Holy Spirit.
Are you still trapped in Secret Sexual Sins?
Read this article, the link is provided, and ask yourself if Jesus were to return, would you be welcomed into His kingdom?
Then ask yourself whether you agree with the Bible, prohibiting sexual immorality, or not (see James 4:4).
If you’ve answered “no, I’m not ready and no, I do not agree with the Bible,” what awaits you is not good.
God offers grace and forgiveness when you repent. The key is that you must repent.
The perverseness of the world is increasing. From house to house and church to church.
Peter warned us of these days.
1 Peter 3:1-4 says “Beloved, I now write to you this second epistle (in both of which I stir up your pure minds by way of reminder), that you may be mindful of the words which were spoken before by the holy prophets,
and of the commandment of us, the apostles of the Lord and Savior, knowing this first: that scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts, and saying,
“Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
What does this have to do with sexual satisfaction?
There was a time when a generation of people walked in the righteousness of God to maintain their relationship with the Lord. Today, with church attendance declining, it appears that the people that would have held out before sinning sexually are now dropping like flies.
There was a time that holding out for sex between one man and one woman in marriage was a badge of honor. Some call it “chastity.”
It was primarily called holiness unto the Lord.
The people what professed faith in the Lord Jesus prided themselves to walk faithfully in the Lord in obedience to His Word.
We are seeing a serious departure from the discipline of the faith to engage in sexual immorality.
Listen to what Peter said, “…scoffers will come in the last days, walking according to their own lusts….”
Scoffers are mockers. Notice when they will come. “…in the last days….”
When the Lord Jesus returned to heaven, His ministry marked the beginning of the last days.
Notice what the writer of Hebrews said.
Hebrews 1:1-3 says, “God, who at various times and in various ways spoke in time past to the fathers by the prophets, has in these last days spoken to us by His Son, whom He has appointed heir of all things, through whom also He made the worlds;
who being the brightness of His glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the word of His power, when He had by Himself purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high…”
The Lord Jesus spoke of what we need to expect to confirm that these are the last days.
Jesus said in Luke 17:26-30, “And as it was in the days of Noah, so it will be also in the days of the Son of Man: They ate, they drank, they married wives, they were given in marriage, until the day that Noah entered the ark, and the flood came and destroyed them all.
Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed.”
What happened during the times of Noah and Lot?
In Genesis 6:5, the days of Noah were described when “…the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”
In Genesis 13:13, the days of Lot were described. “But the men of Sodom were exceedingly wicked and sinful against the Lord.”
During the incident when the angels came to rescue Lot, the men in the city came out and wanted to have sex with the angels. While it is possible that they didn’t know that they were angels, it is clear that the men in the city wanted to have MSM with the two male looking angels. There is no misinterpretation or misunderstanding of the wicked intent of the men in that city.
So when we see the Lord Jesus speak about the days of Noah and Lot, there is no question about the intent of sexual immorality that is pervasive in the current times we are living in. But note also that Jesus said, “in the days of the Son of Man.”
What are the days of the Son of Man?
Remember 2014 years ago, Jesus was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father? Over two thousand years ago, Jesus was risen from the dead. As long as Jesus tarries, that is, not return yet to the earth in His Second Coming, these are the days of the Son of Man.
Then the Bible describes to us what will be done in the last days.
Paul said in 2 Timothy 3:1 “But know this, that in the last days perilous times will come: For men will be lovers of themselves, lovers of money, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, unloving, unforgiving, slanderers, without self- control, brutal, despisers of good, traitors, headstrong, haughty, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, having a form of godliness but denying its power. And from such people turn away!”
Paul also said in Romans 1:28-32 “And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil- mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”
If you’ve noticed, the combination of the words “last days” and the activities that would take place during the last days is in plain view for all to see.
Now that we’ve satisfactorily identified the fact that we are living in the last days, Peter gives us these words……
“and saying, “Where is the promise of His coming? For since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of creation.”
The Lord Jesus gave us these words in Luke 12:43-46 “Blessed is that servant whom his master will find so doing when he comes. Truly, I say to you that he will make him ruler over all that he has. But if that servant says in his heart, ‘My master is delaying his coming, ’and begins to beat the male and female servants, and to eat and drink and be drunk, the master of that servant will come on a day when he is not looking for him, and at an hour when he is not aware, and will cut him in two and appoint him his portion with the unbelievers.”
You see the analogy?
Instead of being found as a diligent person, working out your own salvation with fear and trembling, people lose the discipline as a disciple and live like the world.
When you are impatient, you will make regrettable decisions.
In many cases, it will cost you your salvation if you were once saved.
There are many impatient believers. With the coming of the Lord that can occur at anytime, because they do not hold out, they entertain thoughts of returning to sexual immorality. These believers entertain thoughts to commit the sin they’ve been meditating on for quite some time.
They find themselves accepting arguments and reasonings that is inconsistent with the Word of God.
In one breath, they tell you that they are a child of God. In the next breath, they tell you that they will defy the Lord and His Word.
There is no question in my mind that this is the age of apostasy as spoke of by Paul in 2 Thessalonians 2:1-4.
I said all that to say this about the Southern Baptists that is forced to deal with the onslaught of the sin of homosexuality banging on the door. A church has defected because a pastor was struggling with making a decision to include or exclude homosexuals from his church. At that moment, his son told him that he was “gay.”
