This is nothing new.
It is a continued trend of defiance against God and His Holy Word by people that claim to be ministers.
Rest assured. They are not ministers of Jesus Christ. They are not even followers of Christ.
Who are they?
Sinning rebels bent on loving and practicing the vile sin of homosexuality and using that which is sacred to legitimize homosexuals.
Lipstick on a pig still makes it a pig.
Homosexuals performing homosexual marriages still makes them practitioners of the vile sin of homosexuality.
The blatant disregard of the sacredness of marriage between one man and one woman is a pandemic.
All around the world, people are abandoning God. People that claim to know God were masquerading all that time. They weren’t serious about God. They were struggling with the lusts of their flesh and mind. Justifying their sin. They have given themselves over to their lusts to be under its control.
To them, if they were in Christ, they have self determined that it is easier to give in to their sin(s) than to fight each urge and impulse in prayer and fasting, carefully obeying the Holy Spirit to take that way of escape so they may be able to bear the temptation.
The pleasures of this life overwhelmed them.
I believe that the media has a lot to do with feeding their desires of the flesh and mind.
Consumed with these fleshly desires, they give themselves over to fulfill their vile appetite. Desiring to fulfill their sexual fantasy to secure a false sense of intimacy, they’ve shunned all discipline. They return to the house of worship. Not to worship God but to settle the account of remorse that doesn’t lead to repentance.
As I have said previously, God was not caught by surprise.
Wickedness is abounding, but as Paul said by the Holy Spirit in Romans 5:20b,
“…but where sin abounded, grace abounded much more.”
In other words, the pace of sin will never outpace grace.
Sin is powerless to overcome grace.
Even though man persists in spreading sin all over the world, the Lord promised in His Word that sin will never go beyond His grace. Which means that God’s delivering power will always be more than enough no matter how far and to what great lengths sinfully vile man takes it.
John Knox was a Scottish preacher in the Scotland during the Protestant Reformation in the 1500’s.
The queen of Scotland was quoted as saying that she feared the prayers of John Knox than all the armies.
Prayer from a man equivalent to Elijah would strike fear in anyone’s heart.
Needless to say, that on the isle of Scotland, much prayer is needed. Much prayer is needed every where because it’s not the fear of a praying man or woman alone. It is the God that responds to our inability to produce results praying that is to be feared above all else.
Until this kind of praying is done where God could do exceedingly abundantly above all that we could ask or think, according to the power that work within us, the vile sin of homosexuality will abound, but thank God “…where sin abounded, grace does much more abound.”
