This helps no one to worship the Lord in spirit and in truth.
Most brothers dare to live by Job 31:1. “I have made a covenant with my eyes; why then should I look upon a young woman?”
The Message Bible, which is a paraphrase Bible, says this. “I made a solemn pact with myself never to undress a girl with my eyes.”
With this picture and the woman to the left of Haddon, there is no need to undress. For the undisciplined man or homosexual woman, the mind is fully engaged in lusting after the flesh.
As you could see, another sister’s dress is a bit too high. It’s like they were dressing for the club.
But they call this worship.
But that’s not all. Look closely at Detrick Haddon’s pants and just above it is what we would call a “man skirt.”
Lately, we have observed men wearing dresses like it’s cool. The Scottish men would wear kilts but in America, men wear pants to insure that people know that we are…………men.
Kanye West sported a leather kilt in 2011. Of course, they wear pants under it. At least some of them do not see anything wrong with it.
This is called the “effeminism” or when the man wears soft clothing of a feminine nature. It also deals with his character, mannerisms, and associations. Men that spend more time around women than men or they are raised by women, may pick up tendencies of a feminine nature.
We see this when boys start wearing girl clothing, play with girl dolls, and never spend time doing boy stuff.
Girls back in the 1980’s would wear skirts with jeans or women pants.
So what does the Scriptures say about it?
How soon we forget Deuteronomy 22:5.
The purpose is so that no one is confused about gender. Well, it’s a man’s kilt. Well, it’s still a skirt that we know women wear. There was a day when ear rings for men was definitely taboo. Now it is commonly accepted. For males that are bold enough to wear it. So much the same for kilts or man skirts.
Many of you will say that I am legalistic and we should let them be.
When legalism was implemented, it imposed an unnecessary bondage that handcuffed people imposing burdens to control every facet of a person’s life. There was an attempt to impose the law of Moses upon believers to stifle their freedom of grace in Christ (see Acts chapter 15:1-29).
The works of the law cannot save.
The works of the flesh, called legalism, cannot save.
The same principle applies. The changing of a person’s behavior is not the grace of God. A person must be born again by the Holy Spirit AFTER repentance from dead works and faith toward God through the Lord Jesus Christ. The change of a person’s heart is reflected by the fruit of the Spirit “…love, joy, peace, long-suffering, gentleness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, self control, against such there is no law,” Paul said in Galatians 5:22.
In the OT, sometimes prostitutes were known by wearing a veil over their face (see Genesis 38:15). Beggars were known by the garment they wore to give them the legal right to beg for alms.
Jezebel, before she perished, dolled herself up in an attempt to personally seduce Jehu, but it didn’t work (see 2 Kings 9:30-39). While the Scriptures does not indicate what she wore, yet, she made an attempt to seduce Jehu with hair and the painting of her eyelids.
But we do see that sexually provocative wear will stir the heart. If you’ve been to most places in the cities of this country, the prostitutes wear provocative wear to lure “Johns.”
It’s the same with the church these days.
In one mega church on the West Coast, some prostitutes would supplement their income of shooting porn by prostitution. Shooting porn for 16 hours or more is a lot less money. The money is in prostitution. What they make as a prostitute in one hour eclipses what they make shooting porn for sixteen hours.
Some of their clientele would be men in the church. Prostitutes are porn stars and “porn stars are prostitutes” according to “Shelley Lubben, former porn star and now president of The Pink Foundation, a ministry developed to help porn workers to come out of porn.
Anyway, these prostitutes that would go to church would sit in close proximity to their clients, even with the client’s wife is right there. This interview was on P4CM (Passion For Christ Ministries) of a former prostitute.
In no way am I suggesting that Detrick Haddon or the ladies in this picture are prostitutes. However, when you are wearing sexually provocative clothing and claiming to be worshipping God, a person’s personal judgment is clearly in question here.
Lingerie is designed to stimulate the sight of men to desire a woman sexually. When women go to clubs, and other places, including church, they will wear something that will attract male attention. Again, there will be women that will attract female attention as homosexuals.
In getting back to legalism, we must understand that if you are truly born again, you will not wear things that will provoke people to lust after you sexually. If you want to wear something to stimulate your husband, do it in the bedroom, but when you come out to the public and onto the stage, claiming that you are worshipping God in immodest apparel, it is wrong.
Many will suppress the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God.
And that’s what you see here in the picture above.
Suppressing the convicting power of the Holy Spirit and the Word of God is found heavily among those that desire the sin of homosexuality.
Paul said in Romans 1:18 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness,”
The lie that has circulated in the church, in particular Black people, is that you have to become relevant to reach them.
Relevant is a very loose word that demands that you drop what the Word actually says and give them a little something of the world to win them to Jesus.
Paul said this in Galatians 1:6-10,
“I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ.
But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.
For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.”
We have capitulated to the young culture not to impose upon them the command by God to repent, receive forgiveness from God, to be born again, and turn away from the wickedness of this world. Instead, we have permitted the culture elite to dictate to the church how it ought to preach the gospel. They have even dictated that no one will come to church if you continue to “badger” and “harass” them to believe like you do.
In one case, one person told me to “look outside the window.”
In other words, he is tell me things have “progressed” and you are behind the times.
Well, it is the other way around.
Fallen men and backslidden believers are behind God and His eternal Word.
The devil is the liar and not God or His infallible Word of truth.
As Paul said, “Let every man be a liar and let God be true.”
There is no question that we are living in the last of the last days because when people argue against the Word of God, to suppress the truth, they will not walk in the Word. They will do as they please, and dress any way they want to dress.
Even when they know it is provocative.
