Shall We Continue In Sin….

Shall We Continue In Sin….

There are many believers, or at the very least, people that profess to be believers that will not live by the Word of God. Many of them watch TV, movies, porn, their friends and can’t seem to break away. You mean to tell me that it is a sin to watch TV? No. What you are watching as far as content is the sin.

There are many professed believers that do not have a problem watching soft porn on network TV. Which usually is an indication that you are watching porn or doing chatroom masturbation or illicit sex.

They attend a service on Sunday, or they do not attend at all. They watch services at home, and they live any kind of way they please.

They hear preachers preach the Word and they watch preachers live just as they do.

It’s no wonder that the rebel refuses the Word of God when the real preachers show up.

Not some of the ones in LA (or any where else for that matter) either.

And we wonder what is wrong with the people that come to the house of God.

The solution is so simple that many will not accept it.

2 Corinthians 6:14-18 is a fairy tale to most people in the Body of Christ. You really say to the Lord that He didn’t mean what He said, to “Come out from among them and be separate….”

You honestly believe that you can live in light and darkness at the same time. That you can have God and idols. That you can be a believer and have fellowship with unbelievers. That you can fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness and fellowship with God.

The thing that gets me is that when you get rebuked, you spit out excuses and venom instead of repenting. Your conscience is so seared that you completely ignore the fact that you were being helped. Instead, you accuse the righteous of not being loving.

If we didn’t love you, we would rebel against God ourselves and not tell you so you could bust hell wide open.

Then there are believers that have so much against pastors, the people in the house of God, and you accuse the righteous of placing unnecessary burdens. As long as we are on this earth, and the Lord instructs us to warn you, we will do so. When, after we’ve warned you that you continue to refuse to listen, it’s on you.

I know. “Then it’s on me”, you say. “Leave me be!!!!”

I believe that we have forgotten the reason why the Lord Jesus suffered and died for us. We have gotten to the place where all Jesus came to do was to teach us how to live. Yes, that’s partly why He came, but the first thing that John, the Baptist said when he saw Jesus.

“Behold! The Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world.”

We come back to the main reason why Jesus came. To free us all from sin. The Bible tells us that “Sin is lawlessness.”

What is lawlessness? A deliberate refusal to be governed by God and His Word.

That is, you make up what you want to govern you. And you make up what you do not want to be governed by. You become a law to yourself. Whatever goes, goes.

“Man shall not live by bread alone but by every Word that proceeds out of the mouth of God.”

This was said by Jesus during His time of temptation.

When a person refuse to live by the Word of God, they are living by the word of satan.

The title “satan” means adversary.

We forget that the devil is opposite of God, or opposed of God. There are many people that claim to be a child of God that oppose God. When they are corrected, they rebuke the correction.

Like Esau, they throw aside their birthright because of fatigue. They grow tired of working out their own soul salvation. They grow tired living holy for God.

Listen to the prophet Malachi

 “Your words have been harsh against Me,”

Says the Lord,“Yet you say,

‘What have we spoken against You?’

 You have said,

‘It is useless to serve God;

What profit is it that we have kept His ordinance,

And that we have walked as mourners

Before the Lord of hosts?

So now we call the proud blessed,

For those who do wickedness are raised up;

They even tempt God and go free.’”

Then those who feared the Lord spoke to one another,

And the Lord listened and heard them;

So a book of remembrance was written before Him

For those who fear the Lord

And who meditate on His name.

“They shall be Mine,” says the Lord of hosts,

“On the day that I make them My jewels.

And I will spare them

As a man spares his own son who serves him.

The Lord will not spare the unrighteous. The ones that determined that His Word is a burden. That there is no profit to fully serve God.

Notice what Paul quoted…..

As it is written:

“There is none righteous, no, not one;

 There is none who understands;

There is none who seeks after God.

 They have all turned aside;

They have together become unprofitable;

There is none who does good, no, not one.”

 “ Their throat is an open tomb;

With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;

“The poison of asps is under their lips”;

 “ Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”

“ Their feet are swift to shed blood;

 Destruction and misery are in their ways;

And the way of peace they have not known.”

 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

That’s the point.

The reason why professed believers do what they do is because “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

There is no reverence for the Word of God and His true and holy messengers.

Fine. Do not reverence the true and holy messengers of God, but have respect for God and His Word. I don’t care if you do not honor me or any preacher. At least honor God and His Word to the degree that when you see sin, you say something. Especially when you see sin from those that profess to be believers, working for the Lord.

If you let it pass, you are culpable and complicit. You are joint heir with their sins.

Silence is permission.

We live for whatever time the Lord gives us for one purpose. It’s an endurance race to see if you can handle the rigors of living eternally with Him forever. Many people backslide, fall away, and outright walk away from Jesus because the pleasures of sin are more appealing to them than righteousness.

Paul said, “The wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.”

There are many people that profess to know Him that believe that they can live in sin and in righteousness at the same time. There are many believers that approve of the sins they commit and never correct them.

Paul said, “Preach the Word! Be instant in season and out of season. Reprove, rebuke, and exhort with all longsuffering and teaching. For the time will come when they will not endure sound teaching, but will heap up for themselves teachers, having tickled ears. They will turn their ears away from the truth and they will turn unto fables.”

So when you tell believers to “Flee fornication” many of them will look at you cross eyed and do it any way because they know better than the warning in the Word of God. Nine months later, they bring their child to be dedicated to the Lord without the male that impregnated them in an attempt to cover their sin.

The smart pastor will ask where the male is. It takes two to get pregnant. Then the pastor will dedicate that child to the Lord but the sin must be dealt with first.

That’s what the new single mother is hoping that you wouldn’t do. Expose the sin. See, we are so quick to be lawless when all the Lord is doing is trying to help us. We provoke God and never ask for His help. Until we get into a tight spot. We get real and serious because we want Him to work it out. But we play God like a fiddle. As soon as He “help” us out, we go back to business as usual.

Instead of living for Him, we live for ourselves. We go back to the habits, patterns, and cycles that are destructive. It is usually when it is too late that we get serious.

Then when we hear from the righteous, we blame them for the Word that God gave us to give them. The righteous are to blame for the problems of this world. The righteous are to blame as to why things are the way they are.

But the righteous is doing what the Word says to do. Why blame the righteous for your fall? The righteous are party poopers. The righteous are always spoiling the fun. The righteous is always in the way.

You can live any way that you want to live. You can party. Have all the illicit sex you want. Watch porn, masturbate, sleep with your significant other (same sex or opposite sex). You can smoke, drink, drug yourself up, cuss and curse everything, including God.

Do as you will.

Who’s to stop you?

Even in hell you can do what you want. BUT….you will be in too much pain to have any pleasure.

Jesus said, “Where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.”

Have you every tried to enjoy a pleasure while experiencing excruciating pain? All at the same time? Perhaps, you may have come close. But the pain of hell, and the pain of the lake which burns with fire and brimstone will not allow you to enjoy what you currently enjoy on earth called sin.

Just imaging a lake of lava. Now imagine yourself dancing in lava. Enjoying a smoke in lava. Naked and having illicit sex in lava. Getting your grind on with a body in lava. Enjoying a cold drink of Johnny Walker Red, or shot glasses of vodka in lava. Sitting in lava like you are on the sandy beach.

No. You will have all of your faculties in the lake which burns with fire and brimstone. You will be naked. You will burn forever with no relief because you refuse to believe in the only begotten Son of God. You believed that you were entitled to living the good life without living for the Lord. Living in lawlessness, doing what you want to do.

A word for all.

Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord!
