Ordination Of Bishops: The Vatican’s Version

The ritual of Catholicism in ordaining bishops is all in some of the Christian churches. African American ministers are linking themselves to catholicism in unprecedented fashion. The pope, according to Catholicism, is the link or connection to Peter. Hence, connected to the Head of the Church, the Lord Jesus Christ.

Note this definition from Wikipedia of the word pope…

“The pope (from Latin: papa; from Greek: πάππας (pappas), a child’s word for father) is the Bishop of Rome and the leader of the worldwide Catholic Church. In the Catholic Church, the Pope is regarded as the successor of Saint Peter, the Apostle.”

The error of deeming Peter as the head of the catholic church came about as a clear misinterpretation of these verses of Scripture.

Matthew 16:13-20.

13 When Jesus came into the region of Caesarea Philippi, He asked His disciples, saying, Who do men say that I, the Son of Man, am?

14 So they said, Some say John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets.

15 He said to them, But who do you say that I am?

16 Simon Peter answered and said, You are the Christ, the Son of the living God.

17 Jesus answered and said to him, Blessed are you, Simon Bar- Jonah, for flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but My Father who is in heaven.

18 And I also say to you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it.

19 And I will give you the keys of the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.

20 Then He commanded His disciples that they should tell no one that He was Jesus the Christ.

The difference in usage of the Greek word for “Peter” and the word “rock,” is the place where the battle for catholicism occurred.

Peter is the Greek Word…

g4074. πετροσ Petros; apparently a primary word; a (piece of) rock (larger than 3037); as a name, Petrus, an apostle: — Peter, rock. Compare 2786.
AV (162)- Peter 161, stone 1; Peter =”a rock or a stone”
one of the twelve disciples of Jesus

The rock is not Peter. The rock is the statement Peter made about the Lord Jesus Christ.

Hence, this definition of rock….

g4073. πετρα petra; feminine of the same as 4074; a (mass of) rock (literally or figuratively): — rock.
AV (16)- rock 16;
a rock, cliff or ledge a projecting rock, crag, rocky ground a rock, a large stone metaph. a man like a rock, by reason of his firmness and strength of soul

Now, some of you will say that Jesus is the Rock, and it is true (see 1 Corinthians 10:1-4), but what is to be built?

The church.

How does one become a part of the church? By believing that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the living God. When a person repent of their sins, and when a person sincerely declares that Jesus is Lord, the Holy Spirit would “wash and regenerate, and renew” people.

Just wanted to throw that in for good measure.

In watching a documentary about the Vatican, the show zeroed in on the ordination of bishops. The documentary revealed why they laid prostrate on the floor.

When the Vatican was built, it is alleged to be the place where the bones of Peter would be found. As the catholic bishops would prepare to be ordained, they would lay prostrate on the floor facing the altar where the pope would be seated.

Underneath the floor where the candidates laid would be the alleged bones of Peter.

Then why would Protestant Christians do the same thing? Well EXMinistries uncovered the reason. It’s a Masonic Death ritual. Deceptively, these bishops that are ordained apart from catholicism accepts the version of catholicism defined as humility as well as to be connected to Peter. Thus, Apostolic succession.

How stupid is this?

Very!

Now we were also told that this laying on the floor is for humility purposes, which catholicism also points out.

The connection is clear, that they would somehow be connected to the first pope of catholicism. In other words, over 2000 years of church leadership would come upon them to lead the church into the future.

No cloth would be laid over them. No bishop or anyone would lay on top of them.

Afterwards, the candidates would rise and one by one, they would have hands laid upon them by the pope as he prayed over them. Then the candidates would have hands laid upon them by the cardinals and other bishops. The candidates would receive their mitre, shepherd’s staff, and be led in a recessional to serve.

EXMinistries revealed a very powerful word regarding the origin of the mitre that it is connected to the worship of Dagon, the fish god. You know. That funny looking hat that someone on FB said looked like a french fry box from Burger King.

Some of you will recall the time when the Ark of the Covenant was removed because of Eli’s sons, Hophni and Phinehas, were perverting the temple. This perversion was heard throughout all of Israel. They would demand sexual favors from women and they would fatten their father with the offerings people would bring.

Incidentally, according to J. B. Jackson’s book on “Proper Names,” and other Hebrew lexicons, the name Hopni means pugilist” and the name Phinehas means “mouth of a serpent.”

It appears that by these definitions, these guys were a tag team of sexual predators. It appears that Hophni was a rapist. In other words, he would force himself on women when they came to give an offering. Phinehas was a “smooth talker.”

Well, need we say any more?

Yes.

We have the same kind of predators in the church. Serial rapists and smooth talking pastors.

Phinehas was so smooth that he would talk his way into the hearts of women. At the time that the Ark of the Covenant was taken, the wife of Phinehas gave birth. She named him Ichabod.

Are you getting the picture?

Phinehas was an adulterer and had illegal sex with other women while his wife was pregnant.

Also, they were called “sons of Belial.” Belial means of satan, wickedness, and perversion.

Now here is what I wanted to really get to.

The Philistines were the ones that took the Ark of the Covenant. The Philistines were descendants of Ham-Mizraim (see Genesis 10:13-14). So the god of Dagon was worshipped by descendants of Ham.

Black folk.

So when you see the mitre, and it’s references to the worship of the fish god, Dagon, the connection to black folk pursuing pageantry by way of the liturgical exercise of catholicism is clear and unmistakeable. What’s worse is that the connection to the Philistines is a definite chase after idol worship. The very thing that the Lord abhorred when the land spewed out the Canaanites.

Not many people are prepared for this but before the Israelites occupied the land of Canaan, the sons of Ham occupied the land. When the Lord overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, it was the descendants of Ham, black folk, that were in Sodom and Gomorrah at the time it was destroyed for the sin of homosexual perversion.

There is no question that homosexuality were in other places but these two cities were singled out because Israel was about to occupy the land.

Now, before you think I am writing this to agree with catholicism’s liturgical procedures as opposed to what we are seeing in Protestant Christian camps, there is no Scriptural precedence that demands that we do this.

The simple laying on of hands, absent of pageantry, is all that is required.

In Matthew chapter 10, the Lord gave His disciples power to cast out devils, raise the dead, and heal the sick. To preach that the kingdom of God is near. No mitre were passed to them. No pageantry. No ceremony. Just go, and get busy. No guest preachers. No offerings. No ordination certificates. No religiosity. No pomp and circumstance. No holding of the ankles. No laying on the back and backsides of candidates.

We see none of this stuff or hot mess in many churches all over the world. Except in places where simplicity and Biblical precedence is the rule.

How is it that we love complexity over simplicity?

Jesus commissioning His disciples wasn’t done inside a church, synagogue, or other religious place of worship. Jesus didn’t rent out the town hall, or a space in the temple to do a “powerful” service. This is a real ordination service of Jesus for His disciples.

It was done outside. In front of the birds and other animals.

When the 70 disciples were commission, the same thing took place. No fanfare.

Just, here is the power. Get to work. When the 70 returned, the rejoiced that they had power over the devil. Sort of like what we do today, except when we shout at demons, it’s within the safe confines of our churches during intercessory prayer, called spiritual warfare.

We do not see Jesus shouting at the top of His lungs, commanding demon power. In fact, when people came, they were possessed and He cast them out. My, how we are afraid of demons these days in the streets. When they come, we cross the street. So much for commanding devils in the name of Jesus.

When Paul and Barnabas was at the church in Antioch, they heard the Holy Spirit speak. They fasted, ministered to the Lord, and then hands were laid on them, and they went to establish the churches throughout Asia Minor.

Folks, we have missed it and we now have relegated the work of the ministry to show and tell. Look, see who I am. Ministers without power. All title, but no Holy Spirit power. We have made the work of the ministry a joke and we are the laughing stock of the world. We are not winning the world to Christ. We are winning their favor. As long as we do not live and preach the gospel of Jesus Christ, the world will remain safe and lost in their sin.

When we think about challenging their sins, they remind us of ours.

When we live in sin on the level of the world, they dare you to tell them about salvation. They quickly point out that we need to be saved more than they do. They are right. For a stricter judgment is upon us.

We are hypocrites and they know it. What’s sadder is that we are not willing to admit that we play the hypocrite very well. We are willing to wear our mask proudly and sneer our nose at God in complete defiance.

However, thank God that the whole church is not a bunch of hypocrites. There are people and places in the Body of Christ where Genuine Believers live the Word.

Let’s be thankful that there are 7000 that never bowed its knee to Baal.

    2 things….
    1) My Brother-In-Law (a pastor in Maryland) years ago showed me research that he had
done proving that many of these modern-day bishop’s consecrations are steeped in
    paganism.
    2) How is it that we love complexity over simplicity? It’s simple (again, no pun intended);
SIN COMPLICATES; RIGHTEOUSNESS SIMPLIFIES. And because we love sin and
its practice, we vicariously (and sometimes deliberately-intentionally) embrace the
complexity that it brings. Rather, we should seek, pursue and embrace Biblical
    righteousness at all costs.

Additionally, from my observation with regards to all of these ‘pageants’, many of us (not all of us) in the Body of Christ are suffering deep-seated self esteem issues and some really complex (again, no pun intended) Identity crises. But in light of all the self-aggrandizement masked as ‘pageantry’ associated with many of these rituals and ceremonies, we can get beyond this stuff and get back to Christ-centered balance if we would embrace and live by this verse; “I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless, I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave Himself for me.” – Galations 2:20, KJV

Why do people avoid the truth? It’s may be an indication that they are not serving God because they are not saved. All people have to do is read the entire book of 1 John. That book really exposed my level of serving God. You can’t say that you love God and love sin simultaneously. You can’t agree with sin and agree with God. Paul made that very clear in 2 Corinthians 6:14-18. smh
