Safe Sex For Christians?

Glad you clicked this blog.

There are many people that go to church and they adamantly claim to know Jesus.

They lift their hands and shout like a saint. But only God knows the cleanliness of the hands and hearts.

They say they are saved when someone witnesses to them about being saved. They say just like the old saints that they are “saved and sanctified.”

I saw this performance before hand.

This person claimed to know Jesus but was living a double life in the sin of fornication.

There are many people that believe that they are safe when they are having sex outside of marriage.

Commonly, this is called “shacking up.”

I remember doing a marriage counseling session and this couple lived together and had sex. Well, a child was in the womb and they needed to cover their sin by getting married. They were hiding something from my wife and I but we couldn’t put our finger on it.

Anyway, I performed the marriage and a couple of weeks later, they had a child. The wedding gown hid the pregnancy very well. Yes, I missed God but more seriously, they used God and marriage to cover their sin. They had the mind to get married but they wanted the benefits of marriage without honoring the God of marriage.

The husband later apologized to me and I forgave them but it’s a lesson’s learned for future weddings. Since that time, my first question is always about any fornication and pregnancies resulting from fornication.

The child brought illegitimacy to their relationship because the child was conceived out of wedlock. Again, the child is not illegitimate. The conception and birth out of wedlock is what brings the stigma of illegitimacy.

Just because you had a wedding before the birth, it doesn’t make it right. It’s called…

DECEPTION!

Therefore, one right after the fact still makes it all wrong.

The Bible is clear in two places, for starters, about those that practice “safe sex” outside of marriage.

1 Corinthians 6:9-10, in portions, says…“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be DECEIVED. Neither fornicators…will inherit the kingdom of God.”

1 John 3:7-8 and 10a, in portions, says…“Little children, let no one DECEIVE YOU. He who practices righteousness is righteous, just as He is righteous. He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning…In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God…”

The bold “DECEIVED” is what you need to pay attention to.

That’s because there are many that claim to know Jesus that are very DECEIVED. They honestly believe that they are going to inherit the kingdom of God.

Now picture this.

You are having sex with a man or woman or bisexual. You claim to be a child of God. You are having the best sex of your life. You have a heart attack and die. Do you honestly believe that you are going to heaven to stand before God?

Better yet.

You do not have a heart attack after “safe sex,” you live out your years with that same man or woman, or bisexual. Or you have multiple relations over the course of your years in Christ.

Do you honestly believe that you are going to stand before the Lord with a sigh of relief that you made it in?

Look at the Scriptures above and tell me that Paul was wrong. That Paul missed it. That Paul is a false teacher and a lying apostle.

I know what some of you will tell me.

YOU ARE JUDGING.

YOU SHOULDN’T JUDGE!!!

YOU BETTER STOP THROWING STONES!!!!!!

IF YOU ARE WITHOUT SIN, CAST THE FIRST STONE!!!!

I used to think this way as a level one sex offender in porn and masturbation. I used to think that I could do a quick repentance and my sin would be “washed away.”

But I wasn’t serious about stopping Secret Sexual Sins.

And I kept on calling sexual sins a mistake.

Intentional sin is never a mistake.

Bank robbery is never a mistake. Intentionally feeling or rubbing yourself on a man or woman in a packed subway car is not a mistake.

Getting off was too good to give up. And yes, I was married, so I was enjoying, or at least I thought that I was enjoying the best of both worlds, but living in intentional sin.

I honestly thought that I was going to heaven even with the sins that I was involved in. When you look at what you are doing and you look at what God required, sometimes we do not want to admit that we are just “playing church.”

As a preacher, it is expected for preachers to make it in. But this preacher wasn’t real. And as in the long list of pastors involved in Secret Sexual Sins, I was kidding myself.

You can’t practice unrighteousness and expect to enter a righteous kingdom.

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only,  For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.”

Yet, many, like I was, were grossly DECEIVED.

A born again believer is not supposed to “practice” unrighteousness. A born again believer is supposed to practice righteousness. John said, “In this the children of God and the children of the devil are manifest: Whoever does not practice righteousness is not of God…”

Look at what Paul said in portions in Romans 8:6-8, 9b, “For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity (hostile) against God; for it is not subject to the law of God, nor indeed can be. So then, those who are in the flesh cannot please God…Now if anyone does not have the Spirit of Christ, he is not His.”

You’ve ran off the excuses that you cannot help yourself. You can’t stop. It’s a compulsive behavior. I’m going to heaven when I die, who cares about what the Bible says. Booty call is booty call, and nothing is going to get in my way of flesh!

Well, are you willing to risk it?

God cannot stop you from sinning in this life. But just like the man that lived a covetous life, (oh, by the way, even the covetous will not inherit the kingdom of God) “This night, your soul is require of you.”

When your life ends or when the Lord Jesus comes for His bride, you can rest assured that you will not make the wedding.

So if you think that you are safe having sex as a professed believer outside of Genesis 2:24, carry on. Continue till your heart’s content.

It may be your last or you may live out your life and then be judged according to Hebrews 13:4.
