As I watch the aftermath of the president’s announcement to support same sex marriage, you wonder where in the world are those that are to be standard bearers of the truth. On many of the mainline news, we see Carlton Pearson, T.D. Jakes, and others take a stand against the Word of God.
For instance, During a one on one interview, Bishop Jakes was asked about what African American pastors are saying about the fact of the president’s Christianity.
Bishop Jakes responded in such a way that it questioned what he is really all about.
In a nut shell, Bishop Jakes expressed his “disappointment” that some pastors do not think that the president is a Christian.
Is it possible to be a Christian and support the sin of homosexuality? Is it possible to be a Christian and support fornication? Is it possible to be a Christian and support adultery? Is it possible to be a Christian and support lesbians? Is it possible to be a Christian and support lying, cheating, stealing, bisexuality, bestiality, porn, masturbation, etc.?
What does the Bible say about sin and why did Jesus come to the earth? He came to die for the sins of the world.
To defend sin is to be a friend of the world according to James 4:4.
If you are going to defend a person that supports sexual immorality, you can’t be a friend of God until you repent. This is what sympathetic African American or any other race of pastors do. Instead of disrespecting sin and supporters of sin, they end up disrespecting God and His Word.
How will people know the difference between righteousness and unrighteousness if we support the thing that we are supposed to be against?
And we wonder why folk still stay messed up. Is it another way to keep the seats warm and the money coming in so that we won’t lose the level of lifestyle of the rich and famous of preachers? It’s the truth and we are still oblivious to the penalty that will come according to Ezekiel 34.
Then you watch Carlton Pearson, an apostate, inclusionist preacher with Harry Jackson on CNN. Carlton Pearson used Hebrews 13:4 to justify same sex marriages.
As a pastor, you expect to voice the fact that Carlton Pearson raped and partially quoted that Scripture.
“Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled…..”
As like the time when the devil took Jesus upon a high pinnacle and said to Him If you are the Son of God, throw yourself down, for it is written “He shall give His angels charge of you and in their hands they shall bear you up, lest you dash your foot against the stone.”
You see, the devil will always misquote and partially Scripture to get you to walk in error. If he could somehow, get you to question or second guess what God said in His Word, the devil has succeeding in placing doubt, fear, and unbelief. Because if you ever get to trust the truth, the devil cannot and will not win!
The devil quoted Psalm 91:12 but the devil avoided verse 13.
Carlton Pearson avoided the rest of that Scripture because it mentioned the judgment of God that will happen to people that do not get married and commit adultery and fornication.
But the intent of the demonic influence was to indicate to the audience that same sex marriage is honorable and the bed of homosexuals is not defiled or soiled.
Another trick of the enemy. Know we got to turn this around. Challenge what they say as lies and stop being politically correct when the incorrect application of Scripture is before you. Do not fear their faces. Stand for a change and preach for the truth without missing a beat or flinching.
Two pastors with no backbone because there was no rebuttal of the misuse, misappropriated, misapplied use of Scripture and Carlton Pearson, under heavy demonic influence, lied to people.
As a pastor, the first thing that you ask is, “Where is the precedence for marriage established?”
God did not say that a man shall leave father and father and cleave to his male mate. God did not say that a man shall leave mother and mother and cleave to her wife.
The Word is clear and we keep letting these guys get away with perverting the truth.
We have yet to see backboned pastors use the very thing that is the tool of our trade.
THE WORD OF GOD!
We must never let the reputation or past reputation of people deter us from preaching the truth and point out the spirit of error.
If you are reading this and you are sympathetic to the thing that God is against, there is no question that you are a compromised pastor or believer. No matter what, the truth must be preached and lived. If you cannot stand for the truth, you fell for the lie. And you are no longer competent to speak the Bible into the hearts of people the way God demands.
