In almost every instance, powerful men of God, or, perhaps, seemingly powerful men of God in the pulpit, when they are not careful, they will engage in sexual immorality. Sadly, because they have failed, they resume the ministry as broken cisterns that cannot hold water (see Jeremiah 2:13). They come back to the pulpit, thinking that they are whole.

Only to discover or known from the day they returned that they are broke, busted, and disqualified.

Is it posible that the Lord could still use them?

Only the Lord can re-qualify the disqualified.

If God does a work to restore them the proper way, no one is exempt. The thing that is upsetting is that they return when we know that they aren’t ready. The truth of the matter is that if they were genuinely honest with themselves, they would endure the process of restoration until the hint of immorality is shunned.

The shame cannot and will never be suppressed. However, in the restorative progress, God will work His Word into us until the job is complete. This is where the heart of a pastor receives that witness from God that the guilt and shame of sin must be avoided for the rest of their lives. This is also confirmed by inescapable accountability.

Run or be evasive about the secrets in a person’s life is a dead give away that tendency to sexually sin is still there.

They return to the place of ministry because they are still in search of being high and lifted up in front of the people. Not broken in contrition to God in humility.

In studying the story of Samson, we see that the pattern is clear.

Consecration.

Anointing Power.

Illicit Sex.

Moral Failure.

In Judges chapter 14, we see that although Samson was used by the Lord to destroy the Philistines, common traits are exposed.

1. Some of them start out Consecrated.

To be consecrated means that they were separated unto the Lord for a specific use.

When the call of God comes upon one’s life, we all promise (emotional hype) to do the will of God until what is in us that is not consecrated in full to God emerges.

With the NT, we see that the call or Personal invitation to the ministry given by the Lord could be misconstrued as an elite status.

There’s a lot of false power and prestige that comes with being a minister of the gospel. This is very misleading because the minister of the gospel is called to be a servant, not a pope or king to be served.

To be consecrated or separated involves personal sacrifice, dedication, and a willingness to do the will of God regardless of the cost to us personally. This includes that cost to our egos.

The nation of Israel fell into sin and the Lord used the Philistines to rule over Israel for 40 years. Whenever the nation of Israel fell into sin, this was God’s chastisement to get the children to return to the Lord.

In 40 years, a lot of people could die. At the same time, the Lord would send a judge to judge the nation of Israel to get them to conform to the ways of the Lord.

Samson’s parents were without children and then the pre-incarnate Jesus appeared to the mother of Samson to instruct her about Samson’s birth and her consecration.

Samson was to be a Nazarite from the “womb until death.”

As a side note, the devil, since Genesis 3:15, has been on the lookout for the Seed that would come to destroy him. So every chance the devil got, he looked to destroy the nation of Israel. The devil correctly assumed that the Seed would come from the nation of Israel but he didn’t know who and he didn’t know when.

With the combination of destroying the man God uses or destroying the nation in sin, he believed he stood a better chance at stopping the Seed before the Seed would stop him.

In the book of Numbers chapter 6, verses 1 through 21, the Lord gave Moses the law regarding his consecration. There is no instruction about not having a wife but we see that when he gives a vow to be consecrated, he is to be “holy.

You can’t be consecrated unto the Lord without holiness.

When you make up the rules of consecration, you can do anything you please.

When God establishes the rules of consecration, the only thing that is required is your compliance.

The purpose of consecration is very simple. You give all of yourself to the Lord for His exclusive service.

Easton’s Bible Dictionary gives an excellent read on the consecration of a Nazarite. At the conclusion of his commentary, he gave these words.

“This institution was a symbol of a life devoted to God and separated from all sin, a holy life.”

2. Some of them have unchecked or unbridled lust.

Samson failed to maintain his consecration when he asked his father and mother to get him a wife from the Philistines. The law is clear. The children of Israel are not marry foreign women.

One of the fascinating things about the Lord is that despite the instructions of the Lord, man is capable of doing things that is in violation of the known will of God. God uses this to instruct us of the importance of staying in the will of God.

When Samson’s father and mother honored their son’s request, the Lord was using this to destroy the Philistines. Rewind that back and we find that in Judges chapter 13, Israel sinned against God and placed them under the bondage of the Philistines. The price of sin is simple. Sin, and you will be placed under it’s law of bondage for a specified time as God sees fit.

From a wife, Samson went to Delilah, the harlot.

It’s the same with some of the NT believers and preachers today.

3. Some of them have pride and arrogance.

Samuel was full of pride because he knew that the power of God was upon his life. That is what gets to a lot of men and women of God in serious trouble.

We see that the Lord is working tremendous things in our lives and we deliberately cross lines.

For instance, there was a man of God, a Baptist minister, married with four children in Chicago that was involved in an unrelated investigation. It turned out that his sexual immorality was also investigated because a blackmail threat came to him. This happened in 2013. He sent salacious pictures to a woman that he wasn’t married to. She sent him salacious pictures to him and the rest was history.

The personal electronic devices, as much as it is a blessing, it is also the door to the “tree of the knowledge of good and evil.”

When you believe that you are the one making things happen, you begin to cross lines and do unthinkable, unimaginable, and unexpected things. Behind the anointed is a demonic anointing.

Notice this Scripture in Judges 14:14-16.

“When he came to Lehi, the Philistines came shouting against him. Then the Spirit of the Lord came mightily upon him; and the ropes that were on his arms became like flax that is burned with fire, and his bonds broke loose from his hands. He found a fresh jawbone of a donkey, reached out his hand and took it, and killed a thousand men with it. Then Samson said:

“With the jawbone of a donkey,

Heaps upon heaps,

With the jawbone of a donkey

I have slain a thousand men!”

Samson failed to give God the glory.

Proverbs 8:13 says “The fear of the Lord is to hate evil; pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate.”

Notice the word “fear.”

h3374. יִרְאָה iyr’â; feminine of 3373; fear (also used as infinitive); morally, reverence:— x dreadful, x exceedingly, fear (- fulness).

AV (45)- fear 41, exceedingly +h1419 2, dreadful 1, fearfulness 1;

fear, terror, fearing fear, terror awesome or terrifying thing ( object causing fear) fear ( of God), respect, reverence, piety.”

For quite some time, we had used a partial definition of the fear of God.

We’ve excluded dread, terror, exceedingly fear.

That’s why we easily sin against the Lord. We are not afraid with terror about what God would do to us if we fail to walk in His ways.

God gives us powerful victories and then we turn around, believe that we were responsible for every victory, and then we engage in conduct that is reprehensible and offensive to Him. And then we expect God to move like this all the time.

Another thing is that Samson began to treat God like an errand boy. After killing 1000 Philistines, Samson talked to God in a very abrasive way.

Notice how Samson treats the Lord.

Judges 15:18 “Then he became very thirsty; so he cried out to the Lord and said, “You have given this great deliverance by the hand of Your servant; and now shall I die of thirst and fall into the hand of the uncircumcised?” So God split the hollow place that is in Lehi, and water came out, and he drank; and his spirit returned, and he revived.”

While Samson here gives the credit for the victory, his tone reveals his heart.

I remember years ago as a young kid that I wanted water and my dad just came in from work late at night. He came into the room with the glass of water and I snatched it from him.

Looking back at it today, I remember seeing his eyes of anger. He popped me good and that reinforced the fact that he didn’t have to give me a cup of water, and that I was ungrateful.

So many of us treat God in the same way. We snatch the anointing from the Lord and it reveals that God doesn’t have to give us anything. It reveals that we are not grateful for all that the Lord does for us.

4. Some of them move from consecration to end ministry in destruction.

Because when the Lord has had enough of our childishness and disobedience, the anointing lifts and we become like mere men. Like Samson, there’s many a men and women of God that are tied to the posts without our eyes. And the whole camp of the Philistines come out to make sport of us.

The sexual immoral pastor will end the same way as with Samson.

For the most part, there are women that are holy and come to the house of worship to hear the Word of God.

But there are times when a woman will be approached by an immoral pastor.

Here are some signs to look for that will give you a clue as to when he is making a play on you.

AVOID THE PASTOR’S THAT SEXUALLY LOOK AT YOU

Immoral pastors will give the KFC look.

What look?

Every immoral man has “that look.”

Like a piece of chicken, legs, thighs, and breasts.

It’s a heart penetrating look to disarm your walk of holiness to please God.

When an pastor gives you that look, it’s not because he is preaching to you but because he wants you sexually.

No matter what a woman may wear, if it is attractive, he will look beyond your modest dress.

When I mean look beyond your modest dress, he has already undressed you with his perverted heart. And he makes sure that you know that he is looking at you that way so that he gets the message over to you. Other women in the church do pick up on it but sometimes they suppress it because some of them are hoping that he would look at them that way too.

In small church settings, it’s almost certain that he is looking to connect. In much larger settings, it can happen too.

There was a video that I looked at by mistake but it gave me information that is essential to this blog.

Obviously, it was a very provocative video. A man dressed like a pimp sat across from a male and female. He was singing “Can your boyfriend do it like me” or words to that effect. The boyfriend was into his newspaper or electronic device and not into his girlfriend. The girlfriend look over her boyfriend’s shoulder and was instantly attracted to the dude. He gave that “look” and that’s all she needed.

She left her boyfriend in the chair. Brother man didn’t even look up to see where she was going.

But it’s like that in church.

The immoral pastor gives that look, and that all a woman needs.

A PASTOR’S OUTSPOKEN PERSONALITY

His words are smoother than oil and butter, sweeter than honey, and deadlier than a viper.

His intelligence mesmerizes you. His uses of vocabulary disables your senses. He sees that you are easily persuaded and he has invaded your soul.

His words are almost irresistible. Every word goes deeper and deeper into your soul and mind. So much so, that at night you can’t get his voice out of your mind. He lavishes you with words and you cannot get them out of your mind.

He has a way with words that could make you undress in a church service.

As Paul said in Romans 3:4, “…let God be true and every man a liar.”

Even when a pastor is preaching and living right, men are not to be trusted. Just as women come to church for the right and wrong reason, flesh cannot be trusted (see Jeremiah 17:5-10).

Just like the sign in most stores.

“In God we trust. All others pay cash.”

I find it rather disgusting that a man of God would preach his best sermon just to get through to your emotions, and then use his personality to talk you into the bedroom. Just as with rogue pastor Juan McFarland, AIDS infected, defrocked pastor of Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Montgomery, AL, had condom-less sex with multiple women on the church grounds.

Just thinking about this.

Even though McFarland has AIDS, he still might be capable of impregnating a woman. Not only are the women at an extreme risk of contracting the disease, they may have also been impregnated. The sad thing is that if they were impregnated, they might have aborted/murdered the child to falsely erase the stigma of being impregnated by an AIDS infected pastor.

While we may never know unless they report that they were impregnated, this is alleged, not confirmed.

He does have YouTube videos of his sermons and it reminded me of the times I was in sexual sin with porn and masturbation. The messages he was preaching had no life. Unregenerate pastors that live in sin is like listening to a shell. There is no life in them. There’s 50% of pastors that’s involved with porn and masturbation that preach the same way. So deep in Secret and Overt Sexual Sins that no one is getting the life of the Holy Spirit. Men that claim to be men of God will emotionally preach their messages because there is no Spirit of God upon him.

God will not place His anointing on a man in sin.

In Israel, when Hannah cried out to the Lord for a son, God used her cry to bring judgment on the nation. Samuel was born and Hannah, as vowed, gave him to the Lord. The sons of Eli, Hophni and Phinehas perverted the temple and Eli refused to discipline his sons. The whole nation was in so much sexual immorality that the Lord had to exercise judgment.

Hophni, his name has the meaning of a pugilist” and Phinehas means “mouth of a serpent.”

Hophni was possibly a rapist and Phinehas was a smooth talker.

Whenever a man uses words to convince you to commit sexual immorality, you are not talking to a man but to a serpent called the demon of lust.

If you do not get away from him, it is just a matter of time, because he will work on you until you give in.

While the demographics are different in certain localities, many women gravitate to houses of worship that is close as possible. But they also go to places where they feel the Spirit.

If the preacher is good looking, married or not, women will still show up. This is the other side of the issue.

Married preachers are supposed to be off limits, but it doesn’t matter these days.

His outspoken personality is coupled with his wardrobe. His robe or suit could also be used as part of the attraction. His position of power and influence is part of the attraction. Like most animals in the animal world, what they build and how they fight for females is an attraction.

In the pulpit, it is no different.

So how do you avoid this?

Find a local church that lives and preaches the Word of God, preaching and living in holiness, perfecting holiness in the fear of God.

If you are single, divorced, or having marital problems, find a church where there is considerable distance from eye contact with a married or single pastor. If you are seeking counseling, you should find a church that have qualified female ministers that can handle your counseling needs.

Should a pastor call you to have you come over to the church, do not go.

Decline the invitation.

If it is just to do church work, never go alone.

Make sure that you bring a friend or relative with you and do not go into places alone with him. Avoid the appearance of evil at all times. Never cross lines that will be regrettable later. The shame and stigma is still applied these days, regardless of how acceptable fornicating or sleeping with a pastor becomes.

Time in the sack is not worth a trip to hell over, for as Paul said, Be not deceived. …..neither fornicators or adulteress……will inherit the kingdom of God.”

If you do not want to be labeled as the church harlot, do what you have to do to avoid the smooth talking demon pastor.

First, read the statements from Tye Tribbett and then we will look at what the Bible said.

This is from S2SMagazine.com.

“Tye Tribbett shared his views on homosexuality in the April 2014 issue, and he wants to re-address statements made on the controversial issue.

“I don’t condemn homosexuals,” Tye clarified to Sister 2 Sister. “The Bible speaks against [homosexuality], but homosexuals—the person—I don’t condemn.

The award-winning, highly energetic gospel artist received some criticism for the views expressed in his Q&A with S2S Publisher Jamie Foster Brown.

Tye, who equated homosexuality with other things that can come natural to some, like a 2-year-old lying about eating a cookie, said he intended to make a hypothetical comparison.

While some were outraged by Tye’s comments, which many found compassionate towards those with same-sex tendencies, others appreciated his point of view.

Wrote one S2Smagazine.com user: “[T]hank you for your comment. As a BELIEVER, I was delivered from the homosexual lifestyle, also from sexually immoral relationships outside of marriage. YES, we are…calling it love. That is not love. WHY IS EVERYONE so afraid [to say] what GOD says about certain behaviors?”

Let’s be very clear.

The moment we fail to use Scripture, quote Scripture, and apply Scripture, we twist the Scripture to suit our thinking.

First, God is the Author of the Bible.

Jesus is the Word of God, the Author and Finisher of our faith.

Isaiah 55:8-9 says,  “For My thoughts are not your thoughts,
Nor are your ways My ways,” says the Lord.
“For as the heavens are higher than the earth,
So are My ways higher than your ways,
And My thoughts than your thoughts.”

So the Lord God is telling man that My thoughts are not your thoughts, nor your ways My ways.”

In other words, you do not accept My thoughts, or My ways.

We accept and push our ways and thoughts and outright reject and suppress His thoughts and ways.

If we did accept His thoughts and ways, then we would quote what His thoughts are and walk in His ways.

Then we would tell others what His thoughts and ways are without hesitation.

Here is the thoughts of God on homosexuality.

Leviticus 18:19-29 “Also you shall not approach a woman to uncover her nakedness as long as she is in her customary impurity. Moreover you shall not lie carnally with your neighbor’s wife, to defile yourself with her. And you shall not let any of your descendants pass through the fire to Molech, nor shall you profane the name of your God: I am the Lord. You shall not lie with a male as with a woman. It is an abomination. Nor shall you mate with any animal, to defile yourself with it. Nor shall any woman stand before an animal to mate with it. It is perversion.

“Do not defile yourselves with any of these things; for by all these the nations are defiled, which I am casting out before you. For the land is defiled; therefore I visit the punishment of its iniquity upon it, and the land vomits out its inhabitants. You shall therefore keep My statutes and My judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations, either any of your own nation or any stranger who dwells among you (for all these abominations the men of the land have done, who were before you, and thus the land is defiled), lest the land vomit you out also when you defile it, as it vomited out the nations that were before you. For whoever commits any of these abominations, the persons who commit them shall be cut off from among their people.”

Romans 1:18-32 “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, because what may be known of God is manifest in them, for God has shown it to them. For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even His eternal power and Godhead,

so that they are without excuse, because, although they knew God, they did not glorify Him as God, nor were thankful, but became futile in their thoughts, and their foolish hearts were darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and changed the glory of the incorruptible God into an image made like corruptible man — and birds and four- footed animals and creeping things.

Therefore God also gave them up to uncleanness, in the lusts of their hearts, to dishonor their bodies among themselves, who exchanged the truth of God for the lie, and worshiped and served the creature rather than the Creator, who is blessed forever. Amen.

For this reason God gave them up to vile passions. For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.

And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a debased mind, to do those things which are not fitting; being filled with all unrighteousness, sexual immorality, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, strife, deceit, evil- mindedness; they are whisperers, backbiters, haters of God, violent, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, undiscerning, untrustworthy, unloving, unforgiving, unmerciful; who, knowing the righteous judgment of God, that those who practice such things are deserving of death, not only do the same but also approve of those who practice them.”

Like Paul Washer said, To those that say “Judge not! I say Twist not!”

Don’t twist the Scriptures to fit what you think because what you think is not consistent with what God said.

The cities of Sodom and Gomorrah is further evidence that God poured His wrath out to underscore His deliberate holiness.

Sin will not go unpunished, otherwise God is not just. Besides, He created us and not we ourselves (see Psalm 100).

The next question that we must ask ourselves is that did God change His mind?

Psalm 119:89 says, “Forever, O Lord, Your word is settled in heaven.”

Malachi 3:6 says, “I am the Lord, I change not.”

Matthew 24:35 says, “Heaven and earth will pass away, but My words will by no means pass away.”

Hebrews 6:17-18 says, “Thus God, determining to show more abundantly to the heirs of promise the immutability of His counsel, confirmed it by an oath, that by two immutable things, in which it is impossible for God to lie, we might have strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold of the hope set before us.”

James 1:17 says, “Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and comes down from the Father of lights, with whom there is no variation or shadow of turning.”

So because the Bible consistently showed that the mind of the Father and the mind of the Son didn’t change.

So why do we attempt to change God and His Word?

The answer is found in Isaiah 55:8-9.

HOMOSEXUALITY IS NOT NATURAL.

Paul, by the Holy Spirit said, “For even their women exchanged the natural use for what is against nature. Likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust for one another, men with men committing what is shameful, and receiving in themselves the penalty of their error which was due.”

If homosexuality was natural, then God would have created males to suit one another in the Garden, and a woman would not have been necessary. Then homosexuals would be exempt from the judgment and wrath of God. They would also be exempt from the Gay Man’s Disease now called HIV/AIDS.

SIN WAS CONDEMNED IN THE FLESH OF JESUS.

Romans 8:3 says, “For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God did by sending His own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh, on account of sin: He condemned sin in the flesh,”

Get this. On account of sin, He (the Lord God) condemned sin the flesh. The wrath of God was poured out on His Son. The Perfect God, took sin and placed sin on the Only Perfect Man able to handle the sin of the whole world.

SINFUL MAN IS CONDEMNED ALREADY.

JOHN 3:18-21 says, “He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.”

It is the Scriptures that tell us that man is condemned when they do not believe, therefore, we must tell man that based on this Scripture, because they do not believe on the Lord Jesus, they are already condemned. If they should say that they believe but practice homosexuality, just point them to Matthew 7:21-23 and 1 John 3:6. Sin is lawlessness and the only payment for the penalty of sin is the Body and Blood of Jesus. Then they must repent, be born again by the Holy Spirit, and walk in unquestioned, devoted obedience to the teachings of the commandments of Jesus.

As long as Tye Tribbett fails to use the Scriptures as explained above, he (and sympathizers of sin) do “greatly err, not knowing the Scriptures.”

Pastors? Are you examining your mental and spiritual walk before God? Are you having difficulty in your marriage? If your marriage is fine, are you still lusting for Suzy sitting in the front row of the service? Are you in prayer on a regular daily basis for you and not for sermons? Are you avoiding the easy pitfalls of sight lust? Are you falling for women in the house of prayer instead of falling on your knees in love of and for God? Are you avoiding your accountability partner to have that regular meeting to inspect your heart and mind?

IF any of these questions have bothered you, then it is time for introspection.

Introspection means “the examination or observation of one’s own mental and emotional processes:”

For the women, it’s not always the ones in the red dresses that are the harlots.

I am firmly aware that there are pastors that take advantage of emotionally unstable women, but just because women are vulnerable, it doesn’t mean that they have a right to cross the line into sexual sins. Being human is not a good excuse to sin. You just do not throw away God’s righteousness by grace and your personal discipline for immoral sex with any man or woman, let alone, a pastor.

Eternity in hell is too long to think about why you couldn’t discipline yourself.

Note well what Paul said, 1 Corinthians 6:9-10
“Do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor homosexuals, nor sodomites, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit the kingdom of God.”

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 6:15-20 “Do you not know that your bodies are members of Christ? Shall I then take the members of Christ and make them members of a harlot? Certainly not! Or do you not know that he who is joined to a harlot is one body with her? For “the two,” He says, “shall become one flesh.” But he who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him.

Flee sexual immorality.

Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or do you not know that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you were bought at a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Since the Pastor Juan McFarland debacle, it is safe to say that what Pastor Paul Washer said is true.

There are unregenerate people in the pews and the pulpit.

Jude 4 says “For certain men have crept in unnoticed, who long ago were marked out for this condemnation, ungodly men, who turn the grace of our God into lewdness and deny the only Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Instead of repenting of sexual sins, sexual sins is permitted. This is lewdness. And while doing so, they deny the Lord God and our Lord Jesus Christ. In other words, they deem their Lordship null and void. Sin is permissible and God is happy with it because that’s who you are. You teach this to the people and they are happy with it too.

These pastors are posing as if they know the Lord but they practice lawlessness.

There are harlots and perverted pastors that say that they love God, claim to even know the Lord, yet, they practice the very sin that Jesus died on the cross for. True conversion takes place when repentance and obedience to the teachings of the commandments of Jesus is employed.

The harlots are in the house of the Lord.

Proverbs 6:26 says, “For by means of a harlot a man is reduced to a crust of bread; and an adulteress will prey upon his precious life.”

Strong’s Concordance defines a harlot as “(highly- fed and therefore wanton); to commit adultery (usually of the female, and less often of simple fornication, rarely of involuntary ravishment); figuratively, to commit idolatry.”

In essence, by a prostitute, because the verse above notes, that “a man is reduced to a piece of bread…”

Why?

A foolish man will spend all he has to have sex with a harlot and will only have enough money left to buy a piece of bread.

The older brother of the prodigal son stated plainly that when the younger son went out, he spent his inheritance on prostitutes.

The local churches across the nation has the doors open for the harlots and the pulpits have some perverted pastors.

So it is not all one sided.

They do not represent the church. They represent sinners that never made a deliberate commitment to the Lord. They are servants of the house of satan. When they come to church, their plan is to find a target and trip them up.

Sanctified pastors must quickly identify the harlots. Married pastors must pay attention. Wives of pastors must doubly pay attention. Everything is not as innocent as one thinks. Every subtle, innocent move is designed to get you to drop your guard. Once your guard is down, they will make their move. By the time you feel the blade, it’s too late.

Then there is the porn and masturbating pastor that never entered into deliverance, perfecting holiness in the fear of God. These are the ones that get into trouble and entertain the next step of acting out.

A female or male body.

1. The dress of a harlot.

Proverbs 6:10 “And there a woman met him, with the attire of a harlot, and a crafty heart.”

There is nothing that is left to the imagination. She could be wearing a simple, but overtly curvaceous dress. Or tight hugging pants. It could be the blouse that is just a bit too revealing or worldly that may cause the eyes to explore the cleavage. It could be the hair. It could be the jewelry. It could be the crossed legs in stilettos on the front pew. It could be a high skirt.

In the OT, the harlots wore items so that they are distinguished.

Harlots are crafty in the heart and plan well in advance what to wear so that it instantaneously catches the prey’s attention. Like mice sniffing for cheese, a man’s eyes will travel to “investigate” because according to Dr. William Struthers, a man is wired for sex. His mind and his eyes are connected. Once he sees what he likes, the mind will further investigate.

How?

Jesus said in Matthew 5:28 “But I say to you that whoever looks at a woman to lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart.”

The next thing that happens is that the preacher is no longer concentrating on God, but as planned, the bait is too much to ignore. As like with all mice that sniffs out its meal, the next step is to eat. Not all women plan to do this but just watch what the unregenerate women wear each week. If you see a serious pattern, it’s an attempt on your life.

2. A crafty heart.

The craftiness of a harlot is found in Proverbs 6:24-25 “To keep you from the evil woman, from the flattering tongue of a seductress. Do not lust after her beauty in your heart, nor let her allure you with her eyelids.”

A pastor must know that for a house harlot, every move is planned.

Their beauty is the bait. The flattery is to disarm you. Her eyelids are accenting her and like Morse Code, they signal sex.

Many pastors, especially married pastors will not see it coming, but the wife does.

That’s why the pastor must learn to run like Joseph and leave his coat in the hand of the harlot.

If Joseph didn’t run when he did, the fate of the nation of Israel would have been jeopardized.

Pastor, if you are having marital problems, solve them quickly. Because it is at this point that the enemy strategically sends the harlot right into the house of worship. The devil sends the harlots even when the marriage is tight.

Pastors, do your “due diligence.”

Do a thorough check up on you walk before God. But you need a set of objective eyes on you that could see if you are not up to par spiritually. It is very easy to mask our lack of personal passion for the Lord. In the pulpit, it is very easy to assume that you have it all together. If you are really honest, you would say that you don’t.

Preaching on fire for God is different than living on fire for God.

3. Learn the art of running.

Genesis 39:11-13 says “But it happened about this time, when Joseph went into the house to do his work, and none of the men of the house was inside, that she caught him by his garment, saying, “ Lie with me.” But he left his garment in her hand, and fled and ran outside. And so it was, when she saw that he had left his garment in her hand and fled outside,”

The real lesson begins with never find yourself in compromising positions.

Had he known not to be left alone, it would not have been necessary for Joseph to run. However, he did the next best thing.

He ran.

The dream God gave you is much bigger than an immoral woman.

Learn well Proverbs 11:22.

“As a ring of gold in a swine’s snout,
So is a lovely woman who lacks discretion.”

When an immoral woman is after you for one thing, just remember this Proverb.

When multiple women are willing to fornicate or commit adultery with their pastor, whether he made sexual advances or you are a temple prostitute, you have been reduced to the gold ring in the snout of a pig and you lack discretion.

So pastor?

Are you in Christ or are you a son of Belial?

And wrongfully so.

When you are in sin, you are in fear of the penalty of sin.

Not just homosexuality but ALL SIN.

Lying, stealing, blaspheming the Name of the Lord, having gods before the living God, adultery, fornication, bisexuality, covetousness, disobedient to parents.

In Houston Texas, the mayor, Annise Parker, a practicing homosexual, issued subpoenas to pastors to turn over their sermons on homosexuality and gender identity.

This unprecedented maneuver is designed to intimidate pastors.

Why?

When you are in sin, you are in fear of the judgment of God.

It is truly amazing that people would act like this and know that the outcome, based on history, is against those that stand against the truth. God always win and the devil always loses. People of God who are righteous, always win. People who are wicked, always lose.

This is a fact.

This is like Goliath intimidating the armies of the Lord. But like David, the outcome is certain.

No, I am not advocating going out there to do physical harm. Paul said, “The weapons of our warfare are not carnal (of the flesh) but mighty in God to the pulling down of strongholds.”

Paul also said, “For we wrestle not against flesh and blood but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.”

This minor skirmish is nothing to the mighty God that we serve.

Let me point something out.

There are many homosexuals that were lied to about the Bible and believers.

Some, not all homosexuals believe that we hate them.

John 3:16 says, “For God so loved the world…..” I find it hard to find the word “hate” in that verse.

There are misguided believers that spew hatred against homosexuals on par with the way homosexuals hate Christians.

However, the full counsel of God must also be given.

God knows how to hate and love at the same time.

Many will say that this is a clear contradiction.

One thing is certain.

God never contradicts Himself. He is God and that’s the way it is. Remember. We die. Not God. We’ve sinned. Not God. We got it wrong. Not God. So to accuse God of contradicting Himself when He knows how to love and hate at the same time is error. If God were a man, then He would be subject to death just like us, but because He is God, He can hate and love all at once.

The key is to understand what and why He hates, and then follow His Word to be loved by Him.

God loves man and He hates sin and sinful man.

Psalm 2:10-12 issues a stern warning.

“Now therefore, be wise, O kings;
Be instructed, you judges of the earth.
Serve the Lord with fear,
And rejoice with trembling.
Kiss the Son, lest He be angry,
And you PERISH in the way,
When His wrath is kindled but a little.
Blessed are all those who put their trust in Him.”

The rest of John 3:16 says, “…that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not PERISH but have everlasting life.”

The Lord Jesus died for our sins so that we would be free. The anger of the Son is that people could have avoided being judged as sinners by repenting of sin, believe that Jesus died for our sins, believe that Jesus is the Son of the living God, and confess Jesus as Lord over your life.

Then live a life of holiness in obedience to what Jesus taught and commanded.

Here is the email sent to me in its entirety.

When churches formed, President Lyndon B. Johnson signed into law a tax exempt status called 501 (c) 3. In that the pastor is restricted from preaching against candidates or to preach against the government.

I am currently looking at my options to come out from this form of bondage.

In the mean while, nobody has a right to censor what I preach.

Pulpit Freedom for me is every Sunday and every time I preach on street corners. 24 hours a day, seven days a week.

Any politician that attempts to challenge the God that I serve must be put on notice.

We will pray for you that spitefully persecute the people of God from preaching the truth in love. We will pray against the demonic forces that are using you to destroy the freedom of speech protections enjoyed by all in this country. We will seek the God of heaven for your salvation. Should those that we pray for resist the God of heaven and earth, attempt to do harm against  His people, God will certainly bring swift action against those that intentionally intimidate His people.

And I will preach without restriction because God called me into the ministry. Not any politician or any man for that matter.

We must get used to martyrdom, persecution, intimidation tactics, and other forms of demonic activity to dissuade the church from doing what it is ordained to do.

Therefore, we preach the gospel without apology.

Every pastor, preacher, minister, and believer must sound the alarm. This is the day that the Lord has made. We shall rejoice and be glad in it. This day that He has made will summon the saints to pray for this nation, for all that are in authority, and to pray that we be salt and light in a dark world. We will make a difference and in Houston, it will be there that God will show Himself strong in the behalf of those whose hearts are loyal toward Him.

Pray for the pastors and pray for the Body of Christ to show up strong.

And if they put one pastor in jail for preaching the gospel, I and many other pastors will descend to Houston to pray and to preach in front of the jails and every place else in Houston until they are free.

City of Houston demands Pastors turn over Sermons

Todd’s American Dispatch by Todd Starnes – October 14, 2014

The city of Houston has issued subpoenas demanding a group of  pastors turn over any sermons dealing with homosexuality, gender identity or Annise Parker, the city’s first openly lesbian mayor. And those ministers who fail to comply could be held in contempt of court.

“The city’s subpoena of sermons and other pastoral communications is both needless and unprecedented,” Alliance Defending Freedom attorney Christina Holcomb said in a statement. “The city council and its attorneys are engaging in an inquisition designed to stifle any critique of its actions.”

ADF, a nationally-known law firm specializing in religious liberty cases, is representing five Houston pastors. They filed a motion in Harris County court to stop the subpoenas arguing they are “overbroad, unduly burdensome, harassing, and vexatious.”

“Political and social commentary is not a crime,” Holcomb said. “It is protected by the First Amendment.”

The subpoenas are just the latest twist in an ongoing saga over the Houston’s new non-discrimination ordinance. The law, among other things, would allow men to use the ladies room and vice versa. The city council approved
the law in June.

The Houston Chronicle reported opponents of the ordinance launched a petition drive that generated more than 50,000 signatures – far more than the 17,269 needed to put a referendum on the ballot.

However, the city threw out the petition in August over alleged irregularities.

After opponents of the bathroom bill filed a lawsuit the city’s attorneys responded by issuing the subpoenas against the pastors.

The pastors were not part of the lawsuit. However, they were part of a coalition of some 400 Houston-area churches that opposed the ordinance. The churches represent a number of faith groups – from Southern Baptist to non-denominational.

“City council members are supposed to be public servants, not ‘Big Brother’ overlords who will tolerate no dissent or challenge,” said ADF attorney Erik  Stanley. “This is designed to intimidate pastors.”

Mayor Parker will not explain why she wants to inspect the sermons. I contacted City Hall for a comment and received a terse reply from the mayor’s director of communications.

“We don’t comment on litigation,” said Janice Evans.

However, ADF attorney Stanley suspects the mayor wants to publicly shame the ministers. He said he anticipates they will hold up their sermons for public  scrutiny. In other words – the city is rummaging for evidence to “out” the  pastors as anti-gay bigots.

Among those slapped with a subpoena is Steve Riggle, the senior pastor of Grace Community Church. He was ordered him to produce all speeches and sermons related to Mayor Annise Parker, homosexuality and gender identity.

The mega-church pastor was also ordered to hand over “all communications with members of your congregation” regarding the non-discrimination law.

“This is an attempt to chill pastors from speaking to the cultural issues of the day,” Riggle told me. “The mayor would like to silence our voice. She’s a bully.”

David Welch, pastor of Bear Creek Church and director of the Houston Area Pastor Council, also received a subpoena. He said he will not be intimidated by the mayor.

“We’re not afraid of this bully,” he said. “We’re not intimidated at  all.”

He accused the city of violating the law with the subpoenas and vowed to stand firm in the faith.

“We are not going to yield our First Amendment rights,” Welch told me. ‘This is absolutely a complete abuse of authority.”

Tony Perkins, the head of the Family Research Council, said pastors around the nation should rally around the Houston ministers.

“The state is breaching the wall of separation between church and state,b”Perkins told me. ‘Pastors need to step forward and challenge this across the  country. I’d like to see literally thousands of pastors after they read this  story begin to challenge government authorities – to dare them to come into their churches and demand their sermons.”

Perkins called the actions by Houston’s mayor “obscene” and said they  “should not be tolerated.”

“This is a shot across the bow of the church,” he said.

This is the moment I wrote about in my book, “God Less America.” I predicted that the government would one day try to silence American pastors. I warned that under the guise of “tolerance and diversity” elected officials would  attempt to deconstruct religious liberty.

Sadly, that day arrived sooner than even I expected.

Tony Perkins is absolutely right. Now is the time for pastors and people of faith to take a stand.  We must rise up and reject this despicable strong-arm attack on religious liberty. We cannot allow ministers to be intimidated by government thugs.

The pastors I spoke to tell me they will not comply with the subpoena – putting them at risk for a “fine or confinement, or both.”

Heaven forbid that should happen. But if it does, Christians across America should be willing to descend en masse upon Houston and join these brave men of God behind bars.

Pastor Welch compared the culture war skirmish to the 1836 Battle of San Jacinto, fought in present-day Harris County, Texas. It was a decisive battle of  the Texas Revolution.

“This is the San Jacinto moment for traditional family,” Welch told me. “This is the place where we stop the LGBT assault on the freedom to practice our faith.”

We can no longer remain silent. We must stand together – because one day – the government might come for your pastor.

Another pastor has infected women with the HIV/AIDS virus at a local church in Montgomery, Alabama.

This has been in the news a while but for those that know how wrong this is, perhaps we need to reemphasize some things.

There is two sides to this story.

1. A pastor has no business in Secret Sexual Sins.

2. A pastor has no business fooling around in adultery and fornication in the congregation.

3. A pastor has no business having HIV/AIDS.

In my new book, Secret Sexual Sins II, I shared, by the Holy Spirit about orgies in the church. This is not to say that an orgy took place where he simultaneously infected several women in one session, but it is to say that there are unregenerate people in the church that claim to be saved and they are not. This episode in Shiloh is a hot mess.

As a reminder, the Lord did something in OT Shiloh.

The sons of Belial, Hophni and Phinehas, the sexually perverse sons of Eli, were killed in battle when the Lord brought judgment on the children of Israel for their wickedness in Shiloh.

The Philistines took the ark of the Covenant and the wife of Phinehas, while giving birth, named her child Ichabod. The mother perished at child birth.

Ichabod means “For the glory of the Lord departed.”

So it is at Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. The candlestick was removed and that place is full of perversion and darkness.

God’s presence departed.

There is always that remote possibility that a man could be infected from a woman that has HIV/AIDS, however, there is also that possibility that this pastor is bisexual. Regardless of how he contracted it, his fate, and anyone that he had sex with, is sealed.

You expect him and the women he committed sexual immorality with to be repentant but he, and quite possibly they are not.

In fact, he is claiming to be supernaturally healed by God. A claim that is as frivolous as calling himself God. I’d like to see several doctors confirm that he is healed. Chances are that this claim is highly false, misleading, and a flat, bald face lie from the pit of hell.

He assumes the pulpit after sharing with the church of his sexual sins. The church leadership attempted to remove that pastor. The pastor changed the locks to the church and took control of the church finances. At this point, the church board is looking into taking legal action.

This is nothing short of a belligerent blatant power control by this sinful pastor.

One of the things that we must understand is that we all must render an account to the Lord. The things we possess on earth are not ours. In a moment, he and those sexually immoral women could close their eyes for the final time and it’s over. And if they are unrepentant, it is expected that they would lift their eyes up in hell. Then be judged by God before the Great White Throne and cast into the lake that burns with fire and brimstone (see Revelation 21:8).

One moment of sexual pleasure is not worth an eternity in hell.

Sadly, for many, it will be the unfortunate, inevitable case.

Ezekiel chapters 18 and 33 tells us that “The soul that sins it shall die.”

Because we see no repentance, there is no question in my mind that should this pastor and female congregants fail to repent, they will end up in hell. For the Bible says, “Be not deceived….neither fornicators…..adulterers…shall inherit the kingdom of God.” and “Marriage is honorable among all and the bed undefiled, but adulterers and fornicators God will judge.”

To the “judge not” crowd, the Bible already judged the unrepentant. Because according to John chapter 3, they’ve condemned themselves. It is only on this side of the land of the living that they have a chance to repent and be saved. After they close their eyes, there is nothing that can be done.

You’ve preached them in to hell. No. I didn’t sin. They sinned and they must be paid the wages of sin (see Romans 6:23). The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. It is up to them to take advantage of the gift of God. Should they fail to take advantage of the gift of God, then the wages of sin must be paid to them.

When you work for satan, you will get paid, and satan will not pay you.

God will.

To protect those that are in deliberate sin, unless they repent, they will go to hell. To avoid hell, they must repent. It’s funny how people want to avoid saying this for fear of offending folk. I’d rather be judged by the world than to be judged by God. Because when God judges, it is final. And God already judged in His Word that this is what happens to those that refuse to repent.

Here is the other side of the story.

There are eight types of perverse women in the book of Proverbs.

1. Sexually immoral woman (Proverbs 5:3).

2. Seductive woman (Proverbs 2:16).

3. Harlot (Proverbs 6:26).

4. Adulterous (Proverbs 6:26).

5. Loud (Proverbs 7:11).

6. Rebellious (Proverbs 7:11).

7. Evil woman (Proverbs 6:24).

8. Foolish woman (Proverbs 9:13-18).

Not every woman in Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church fit the bill of these eight types, but if several women were infected, it seems to me that he was not going to stop. And it seems to me that immoral women would not stop either. Then again, we do not know how many others were infected that have yet to report any involvement with this pastor.

There used to be a day when sanctified elderly women would see sexually provocative women come to church and tell immoral women to go home and change clothing.

There used to be a day when holy, consecrated elderly women demanded that the younger women dress modestly so as not to sexually provoke men and in particular, the pastor.

According to 1 John 3:6, “Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”

When you are this blatant with sin in the facility that houses the professed believer, it is clear that sinning is as easy as breathing air and drinking water. There is no regard for the terror of the Lord. There is no fear of God before their eyes. They are not afraid of the Lord at all.

When more than one woman has been infected, it is clear that this pastor knew what he had and took advantage. But not so fast.

Women talk in church. It is impossible to not know. There is more to this story than meets the eye. Sadly, it’s like this in many places in the Body of Christ. One pastor told me of a church in Harlem, NY where the same thing is happening as far as the adulterous club environment is happening. The congregation won’t leave because like in the article from Black Christian News Network, they make un-Biblical excuses.

Like….“He’s a pastor, but he is human.” This is a lie from the devil every time. When you hear this statement coming from a woman, it is a clear indication that sin is lurking. We can never make excuses for sin. To be sympathetic for sin as opposed to be sympathetic for the standard of holiness puts a person at grave risk of being an enemy of God according to James 4:4.

The last thing you want to be is an enemy of God because of your love for the world and the things of the world.

The sad thing is that there is a standard to hold them by which they have denied. The Word of God, which is the inerrant, infallible Word of God that they’ve deliberately jettisoned.

Is it possible that he took advantage of emotionally unstable women?

Yes.

Were they all emotionally unstable?

Highly unlikely.

Immoral woman hunt for pastors because women gravitate to “anointed men.”

Some of them are on a deliberate demonic assignment to trip up the pastor sexually. And there’s demonically assigned pastors that attract unsuspecting emotionally unstable women.

So with this story, there is more to follow.

Click the link here to read the particulars from BCNN.

There comes a point in our lives when we sense that something bad is about to happen when we assume invincibility.”

We continue in sin because we willingly abuse 1 John 1:9.

“If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness.”

1 John 3:6 says, “Whoever abides in Him does not sin. Whoever sins has neither seen Him nor known Him.”

For 33 years in masturbation, 10 of these years in pornography, I abused that verse of Scripture.

It became my hypocritical fall back position so that I would “seem” right when it would be time for me to preach and teach the Word of God.

Afterwards, I would resume the sexual addictive cycle of

1. Thoughts/fantasies.

2. Ritual/Provision for the flesh.

3. Acting Out Sexually.

4. Remorse.

There is a difference between remorse and repentance.

Remorse is about you being sorry that you got caught.

Repentance means godly sorrow that works repentance, leading to salvation not to be regretted...” (2 Corinthians 7:10). You fully grasp that you hurt the heart of the Lord in your sin. It means that you are done forever with that sin according to Proverbs 28:13. Remorse covers sins. Repentance removes sin far from you because you are in God (abiding in Him see John 15:1-8) and so near to God (see James 4:7-10).

Hebrews 12:1 says, “Let us lay aside every weight and the SIN that does so easily beset us…”

James 1:21 says, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.”

Do not get me wrong. God lovingly forgives us freely. That’s His nature. When we confess our sins, He is faithful and just, BUT when we treat God like a walking mat and walk all over the blood that was shed for us because we would not stop sinning, we do not have the terror of God in us.

In 2 Corinthians 5:9-11, Paul says, “Therefore we make it our aim, whether present or absent, to be well pleasing to Him. For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad. Knowing, therefore, the terror of the Lord, we persuade men; but we are well known to God, and I also trust are well known in your consciences.”

The dispensation of grace has been so abused that we now hear convoluted teaching that we can sin and all our future sin is forgiven because Colossians 2:11-15 declares that God nailed the handwriting of ordinances against us to the cross of Christ. Past, present, and future sins are forgiven.

Many people have said as a result that….“God knows my heart.”

Yes, He does know your heart that it“…is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked, Who can know it?” Jeremiah 17:9

Ecclesiastes 8:11-13, the Preacher said, “Because the sentence against an evil work is not executed speedily, therefore the heart of the sons of men is fully set in them to do evil. Though a sinner does evil a hundred times, and his days are prolonged, yet I surely know that it will be well with those who fear God, who fear before Him. But it will not be well with the wicked; nor will he prolong his days, which are as a shadow, because he does not fear before God.”

You have to ask yourself if you are a practitioner of lawlessness or not.

Because if you practice sin because you claim that you can’t control yourself, the Lord will tell you one thing.

“Depart from Me you who practice lawlessness.”

When you have the terror of God in you, you will not sin.

When you didn’t get judged for the last time you sinned, nothing happened, you feel that you could get away with it. Again, and again.

The endless cycle continues.

Why?

No fear of God in us.

Many have talked so much about the “fear of the Lord” as if it’s just the reverential, worshipful fear of God when we are in a church service.

After hearing Paul Washer preach on this, my perspective dramatically changed.

I already had a healthy fear of God like avoid the third rail on subway tracks. I already knew about the “flame of fire in the eyes of Jesus,” Revelation 1:14, 2:18, and 19:12.

But to understand the fear or terror of God in the light of your sins is a different perspective.

As I was witnessing with the Abolitionist’s Agitation Signs of murdered babies, a lady was offended that a man would tell her about how to govern her right to choose. She claims to be a professed believer in Jesus, yet, she advocates the murder of babies. She told me that it’s between her and her God. It was bold and blasphemous.

How?

When you stand before the judgment seat of Christ, it is not going to be a Hollywood award ceremony.

Days later, I said to myself, she really do not want to stand before the Head of the Church, if she is genuinely saved, to give an account for what she just said. The flame in His eyes is not a light show. It is the anger and terror of God staring at you and penetrating your entire being. To the degree that you will understand, in no uncertain terms, that He is fully God and fully angry.

It is there, in the Flame of His eyes, that the good and the bad will be judged by Him of all believers that made it into the kingdom. It will be the place where all our deeds will be exposed and where we will render an account before God.

Paul said in Romans 14:10-12, “For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ. For it is written: “As I live, says the Lord, Every knee shall bow to Me, And every tongue shall confess to God.” So then each of us shall give account of himself to God.”

Then there is the judgment of our works. That is, the things that we believe that the Lord told us to do and built on top of the foundation.

Paul said in 1 Corinthians 3:10, “But let each one take heed how he builds on it. For no other foundation can anyone lay than that which is laid, which is Jesus Christ. Now if anyone builds on this foundation with gold, silver, precious stones, wood, hay, straw, each one’s work will become clear; for the Day will declare it, because it will be revealed by fire; and the fire will test each one’s work, of what sort it is. If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward. If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire.”

The reason why believers sin so easily is that there is no terror in the eyes of people.

Paul said in Romans 3:10- 18, “As it is written:
“There is none righteous, no, not one;
There is none who understands;
There is none who seeks after God.
They have all turned aside;
They have together become unprofitable;
There is none who does good, no, not one.”
“Their throat is an open tomb;
With their tongues they have practiced deceit”;
“The poison of asps is under their lips”;
“Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness.”
“Their feet are swift to shed blood;
Destruction and misery are in their ways;
And the way of peace they have not known.”
“There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

If we were really terrified of God, sin would be a quick thing of the past.

There are many people that do not like this kind of God. They would much rather have the loving, soft, forgiving God that understands that we are not perfect and that He understands that we make “mistakes.”

There is a vast different between making mistakes and deliberately sinning against God.

Many believe that this is “sledge hammer preaching.”

No, this is the very nature of God that we never preached about because all of us want to avoid turning people way from what the Bible clearly states.

We avoid these messages because as Todd Friel, Ray Comfort, and Tony Miano said we have erected a god that is not like the God of the Bible.

Many of us practiced idolatry and didn’t even know it. We have shied away from the awesome terrible God that brings judgment upon those that continue in sin. Grace cannot abound when we continue in sin (see Romans 6:1).

Paul tells us “That if we would judge ourselves we would not be judged.”

Every time folk in the church of Corinth took communion, they would get sick and some of them would die because they had failed to discern or fully understand the Lord’s Supper. This means that you understand clearly, and with all gravity that the Body and Blood of our Lord was sacrificed for our sins. To desecrate this celebration is blasphemous and worthy of judgment, up to and including death.

Therefore, we must preach the terror of the Lord because when you are not scared to sin, you will sin as easy as breathing air and drinking water. You will not think twice about going for it. But after you get a revelation of the terror of the Lord, we need to warn others to be very afraid because God is love, but He is also just, righteous, and holy, and God has zero tolerance for sin.
